Laundry Party

They were scheduled to pick up 8 bags of laundry on Nov 20, 2023 at a cost of $248. They did not arrive to pick up the laundry as scheduled, did not answer their phone, and did not call. The owner of the laundry (a friend) no longer trusted them to take away eight 13-gallon bags of her clothing and household items. We both reached out by telephone. I have emailed numerous times. It has now been two weeks, and I am still waiting for a refund OR EVEN A RESPONSE TO MY EMAILS. Caveat emptor--buyer beware.

Complete scam. Do not use unless you want to be invoiced without being contacted for additional $$ (more than the price of a bag of laundry). I am absolutely livid right now.

Also the customer service is a complete fail. No communication, no one answers the phone (they actually turned it off as I was trying to reach them), no call back even after I requested one.

Excellent experience. Great communication from Ben. Extremely pleased with results. Took an overwhelming task and made it a great experience. I was happy to see I received 4 very good laundry bags with my information on a tag for future use. Highly recommend.

I use to have a very hectic life and had to choose laundry or having full days. I did daycare in my home, so that and night classes for EMT/ MEDIC, took all my free time. It was by the pound and cost a fortune. 1980
Now,in 2022, I've been blessed to get help with laundry. I use laundry Party! I have never had such an honest, super friendly professional,amazing, thoughtful, considerate, overall amazing​ group of people! This service particularly "BENS" LAUNDRY PARTY! BEST LAUNDRY SERVICE EVER! I've owned myvown cleaning/ laundry services " back in the day." It's no easy task but they do it do it well. Every Friday I am excited when laundry arrives at my Apt. door in large see- through strong bags. All in order and being able to know that's done takes the weight off my shoulders. I'm disabled now and didn't realize how much It took for just laundry alone! It was exhausting and I just couldn't do it any more! Just used Laundry Party for the first time and couldn't be happier! The same day service is so fast and easy, all my clothes were clean, soft, neatly folded, and organized. I don't feel comfortable using laundromats with the ongoing pandemic, so I am super grateful this service exists!

I wish I could give them endless stars! I seriously never write reviews but I had to for this biz. I needed a laundry service for my mom (I live in San Diego). This service is a god-send. Easy to set up everything online, and when I had a question and called the guy (Ben?) was super helpful. And what an amazing value for them to do full delivery, wash, dry, fold. LOVE laundry party!

Overall, recommended. Thoughts:

BAGS, NOT WEIGHT: Unlike other services I've used in the past, who "weigh" your clothes, LP charges a flat fee per bag - so whatever you can stuff in their large bags is $20 per bag. I like this system a lot, as I don't have to worry about certain items being more expensive and I know what I'm going to be paying without waiting for someone to come and weigh everything. My husband and I have done some testing and found that the bags come out to a little under twice as much cost as doing the laundry ourselves at the laundromat. It depends, though, if that time is worth it to you. It is to us.

ONLINE ORDERING: They have a nice online ordering system. You can specify days/times and locations for pick-up/drop-off. On that first menu, they also have additional services for around $4-$6 fees such as stain removal, special delicate wash, same-day service and other things I've apparently never used because I can't think of them.

SERVICE: Service has been prompt. Clothes has been delivered well-folded, although packed in a plastic bag rather than a paper bag (so things do get wrinkled) and nothing lost as of yet. I order the unattended drop-off/pick-up and I like that I get email notifications when that has happened. If it is a day I'm off work, I actually do head home to bring in the laundry (tip for management if you are reading this - putting undergarments somewhere hidden would be appreciated; the bags are clear!)

UPDATES:

*March 2016: So far great service. Highly recommended.

*July 2016: I've had two white items come back recently with stains. A few days later: Good response from Laundry Party (Ben) via email that attests to how much they do seem to care about customers. For me, I haven't been able to reach them via phone, but email was prompt (between one minute to one day except on the weekends, I think)

*August 2016: I'm graduating to more delicate items that I care about; so far, so good.

First-time user rating: Approximately perfect!

Parent of two, F/T employed, end of my rope on Fri; couldn't face doing laundry and also couldn't face the pile of dirty laundry. Did not want to drop a lot of cash or invent new hassles. These folks made my day!!!

Though I'm already married, here's why I want my best friends to date Laundry Party:

1- PIck-up & drop-off: VERY EASY.
You can select a specific time to oversee the transaction, or select a general time and be somewhere else. You can specify where; my back door is hard to find, and they managed well!
They even texted to let me know they'd completed pick-up & drop-off, exactly where I'd specified.

2- Clothes came back very clean, crisply folded, nicely packed. Next day!!!

3- On phone they were (Ben was) super-pleasant & helpful, flexible; went out of their way to enable same-day pickup despite being too late by the web interface. You can even have them use your preferred cleaning products.

4- VERY INEXPENSIVE! Without my asking, they even credited my credit card for the amount of clothing I'd over-estimated on the online form. How nice is that!

Improvement opportunities
1- Though website is super-sweet, enhanced usability would improve first-timers' online experience:
-how to estimate number of bags' worth if clothes (answer: kitchen-sized garbage bag).
-what is latest you can still have pickup...
-what is earliest you can get 'em back...
2- Clothes were returned in non-reusable plastic bags, despite Eco-friendly cleaning agents. Could bags be eco'ed?

Still, it was lovely. Just delightful.

Can't say enough nice things about Laundry Party!! They've been doing the laundry for my place of employment for 2 years now with no error that I can recall! The owner is super friendly and dependable!!

Convenient and good on fragrance-free, eco-friendly cleaning.
However, these drawbacks need to be corrected:

- They lost two expensive woolen socks (not a pair, so two pairs were ruined).

- They ignored my instructions to refrain from rolling the tops of sock pairs together.

- Clothes came back in clear plastic bags crushed together so that several items were very wrinkled, even though folded. I asked if I could supply hangers so that some shirts could be hung instead; they said no, they do not do this.

- In my experience, they never answer the phone. I don't know how the reviewer below was able to reach them. I also emailed about the issues listed above and never got a response. They did respond promptly when I sent a message about placing an order, however. So their customer service really needs an upgrade so that it serves the customer, not just their business.

I know many people would use this service if these improvements were to be made.
