      Delicious lunch and excellent service by Melissa. The fire grilled oysters were a great starter. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we will be back our next visit to Galveston

      Fabulous meal here last night, the wedge salad and filet mignon, could not have been better. The potatoes au gratin were delicious. The portion size, taste, and ambience as I looked over at the ocean provided one of the most peaceful times I have had lately. Topping it all off with a top shelf, margaritas and their three layer chocolate cake was the perfect ending. I cannot say enough about Evan and his amazing, attentive service. Busy as it was, he still took the time to chat and offer menu advice. He had a lady who was his trainee with him and she also could not have been more helpful, efficient and attentive. I will definitely be back.

      We dined twice this weekend. Love the atmosphere love the view Curtis was great bartender , and knew a lot about local events. We appreciate his assistance. Will be back in this summer.

      I highly recommend this place for a great dinner for seafood and steaks. Really well cooked food.

      This was an early Valentine's dinner and we were very happy. We had the Landy's gumbo (4/5), Lobster Bisque (5/5), 14 oz Ribeye (5/5) with asparagus, sizzling mushrooms (5/5), shrimp (4/5), shrimp scampi (4/5), lobster tail (5/5), NY cheesecake (5/5) and Banana Foster's (4/5). This is definitely a $40-$60 for steaks and about $25 to $45 for pastas and seafood dishes.

      The service was exceptional with Melissa Hart (10/5). Highly recommend her as your server.

      I'd recommend this location. Come with an appetite.

      .. amazing top to bottom! Great vibe for 2 NY'ers visiting quick. 'Brown Kevin' was AMAZING... in top of everything, great recommendations.
      Crab dip and Salmon were perfect.
      Best Manhattan the boy has had in quite some time.
      Would come back just to have him hang with us again!

      I enjoyed a visit to Landry's during Restaurant week - never been to this one before. The last one I visited was in another state. I ordered a shrimp dish, salad, and orzo. For dessert, I had Bananas Foster. I forgot to take photos and I'm sorry I did because the Bananas Foster was beautiful AND delicious! The shrimp/orzo dish was ok; not my favorite. Our server was awesome - I think his name was some movie star's name, but I forget which one. The manager stopped by and said hi which was nice. I will definitely go back and try some other dishes.

      Oh the outside dining was perfect - a view of the Galveston beach, an umbrella to protect you from the sun, and lots of beautiful plants!

      Well, I was anticipating a 5 star review but between table service and my dish, no.

      It's a fine dining atmosphere, but most folks were dressed casual. Table cloths and cool looking linen napkins. Darker, but warm feeling dining and bar areas.

      Things started off good! The 6 of us had a 7 o'clock reservation, we were seating immediately... after an excellent bar experience! We shared the (rather expensive $18) 3-Meatball appetizer... which was excellent. The bread was also excellent!

      Taking the orders and food delivery were a little slow, but somewhat typical of a fine dining experience. Food came out hot and seemingly well prepared. However, though my $48 Snapper Americana which was reasonably sized portion, had very little sauce and the fish was dry. It was served with small shrimp, scallops and mushrooms which were okay. I was disappointed. Additionally, the water glasses were small and mine sat empty 3X during the meal!!! Needless to say, we didn't see the waiter often enough. Also needed more tartar sauce (for the fish and chips), but no waiter!

      On the plus side, everyone else thought their meals were very good... but I'm writing the review and my experience was not great.

      Overall, I am compelled to recommend you try them, hopefully with better service, you'll have a 5 star experience! Will come back.

      We really enjoyed our dinner at Landry's Prime. It was our first time at this location and it reminded me of the "Landry's Upstairs" in Kemah in the late 90's. A totally different experience and menu than a standard Landry's. . Our waiter, Evan, was great. We felt very unrushed and were able to have a long visit with an old friend without being hovered over. The food was excellent. We had two mixed grills and the steak was surprisingly good. Our friend had the seafood pasta and really enjoyed it. Portions were just right too. We'll definitely go back next time we're entertaining in Galveston.

      we decided to take a last minute trip out to galveston from houston and i absolutely loved that we could be seated for 3 upon entering the restaurant without a reservation on christmas day. the restaurant seemed busy but not busier than any normal day at any other landry's restaurant that i've been to before, and there were also other booths and tables that were empty.

      didn't take us long to order our appetizer --baked oysters topped with crawfish and cheese. can't quite remember the menu item name but what ever this is was quite tasty and i would definitely recommend!! for the main course we choose to get 2 fried captains platters, landry's house salad, asparagus & dirty rice as sides. all three of us had our water, also two shirley temples and a coke. no straws were brought out to us and we waited over 5 mins to get the waiters attention and he says, "do you need straws too?" he then brings only 2 straws. okay we go with it.

      the food was okay. not much to say about the food as i didn't get to enjoy it or the experience of christmas lunch at all; i was too busy trying to find room on the table to comfortably eat, or worried that my salad plate would fall (it was literally half way on the table). speaking of the salad, it was never brought over to the table with the food; i had to ask for it (from someone who was not our waiter) after a few mins of everything already getting to the table. i did not enjoy the salad at all, there was also no corn as the description stated and many bad pieces of lettuce blanketed with the dressing. it was known that all three of us would be sharing this meal together and no plates were sent out to us. i made a mention of my concern about the plate being half way off of the table and what if it falls and the response was, "don't worry if it does we will replace it." okay, sure. trying to make the best efforts to make space we immediately dished out the dirty rice and no one came to remove the dish on the table, ever.

      this is not the dining experience i expected or wanted at all --i don't even eat crammed like this at home. why weren't we offered a larger table when the waiter took our order and realized we were ordering a lot more than the table could hold? he knows the size of the dishes better than any of us. also, why didn't the waiter try to help us remedy the situation or find a solution for us when i was trying to rearrange the food and plates on the table? instead he just looked at me in confusion while i'm trying to figure it out. throughout the entire time we were only checked on once and that's after raising a hand to get the waiters attention. we wanted dessert after but at this point we were just trying to go because of the experience. granted it was a holiday but that doesn't mean give half of the service/ experience especially when the meals are full price and gratuity is still.

      such a lovely restaurant but it's unfortunate we couldn't fully enjoy the experience on our christmas day trip. let's do better than this for the next person.
