I got Linda who does locs and natural hair care. She herself has locs and she's a huge fan, so be prepared for her to advocate them. A lot. But not in an annoying way! She's sweet, assertive, and understands for the most part how to deal with natural hair. Hard to find on Germantown Ave.... For example, when washing, she uses cold water b/c hot encourages tangling. She uses tons of conditioner and finger combs. If you want a press, she uses a steam machine instead of hot metal.

The whole place has a really friendly vibe. I saw equal numbers of loc'd and permed ladies during my 5 hour visit. My only issue is that for drying, she stuck me under a hood with a few big braids and then proceeded to detangle, tiny section by tiny section, with a fine toothed comb. That made no sense to me, but the end result was nice & I'd go back for two strand twists. If they weren't $120. The press was $40.
