La Marea Cafe & Pizzeria

Finally some good food and coffee in the village! So stoked to have this place to walk to. The bagels, pizza, and drinks are all so good. Im obsessed.

Some of my favorites:
- The pistachio scone is always a must get
- Riviera bagel is SO good
- Carla latte
- Blackberry matcha
- Pizza

You honestly can't go wrong here! LOVE!

Let's talk about service, value, and quality....

1. A 5x5 slice of reheated floppy pizza in a box not quality or value
2. Has seating but no restroom (not one that they will share anyway) hmmm isn't that required city of Capitola?

I can imagine the pizza when fresh is better but $9 times 6 slices = $54 or maybe it's 4 slices so $36?

Someone (the chef owner) is buying their dream ingredients and charging a pretty penny and charging $9.

Bookies pizza is best in the area - period. Don't waste your money or time because one of those you'll never get back!

Excellent little cafe with bagel sandwiches and coffee tucked away from the main downtown Capitola strip.

They have Syllable Coffee on sight with coffee and espresso drinks- I thought my cappuccino was excellent, and definitely on par with all the other great coffee in this are (Cat & Cloud, Verve , 11th hour etc). My husband enjoyed his drip as well, but does prefer Cat & Cloud for his coffee.

So let me just preface this with I am not a bagel person. I'm one of those people that avoids carbs unless it's truly worth it, and this was worth it!
The bagels here are not only super fresh, but they are just different. I'd describe the interior like a denser foccacia bread, but the exterior is thick and crisp.
We got one cinnamon raisin with cream cheese, and also a breakfast bagel with everything bagel. Both were amazing.
The breakfast bagel comes with a frittata egg, and thin layer of avocado.

they serve pizza for lunch as well, and I'd bet the dough is amazing if the bagels were that amazing.

Interior is super super narrow and small, able to seat maybe 2-3 small groups.

Easily one of the best bagels in town, along with Detroit style pizza, Vincent and Jane are crushing!! The toppings are extremely fresh, and the menu is rotating to accommodate what's in season. Their coffee is also some of the best in town. Great music inside, but easily could take this to go and enjoy the beach just right down the street. Looking forward to eating here on a weekly basis, 10/10

I love this spot! Absolutely amazing pizza, bagels and drinks. I have been a couple times and had both the Scandi bagel and a slice of the sausage pizza. Both are so good!

I also tried an iced blackberry matcha which was a delightful treat! We're big fans of Jayne Dough and are so glad to see this brick and mortar spot open after enjoying many of their pop ups. Probably my fav pizza in town!

Their space is cheerful and cozy with limited seating. We enjoyed taking ours down to the beach.

the best sourdough bagels! syllable coffee was also some of the best I've had. hoping to return and try their pizza!

Love seeing two former pop ups come together in a shared brick and mortar space! Delicious coffee, excellent baked goods and charming staff. The space is charmingly small and good for a quick bite. Looking forward to trying the pizza next time!

The most delicious pizza I have ever tasted! I am a cheese pizza person and this is IT! A thick yet lightweight sourdough (I think) crust that is pure heaven and the most wonderful cheeses! Thank you for making something so simple so extraordinary!
