Q:
I have moved away unfortunately and still miss this place like crazy. One of my favorite parts is the bean dip you guys serve with chips. What is this called because it's not the normal bean dip like other restaurants?
A:
They are their version of refried beans and boy are they delish.

Hello, how is parking here and do you need reservations? How long is the wait generally on a Saturday evening?
A:
There are roughly 30-35 spots for the plaza & street parking as well. We don’t take reservations & operate on a first come, first serve basis. We have spots behind our restaurant. We encourage guest to look over our menu prior to arrival. We… more

Came to la Fonda before the Lany concert at the forum to hold us over for the night. It was perfect! Waited 5 min to be seated in a Saturday around 530pm. Parking is minimal.
The food is good and hit the spot! Staff is also very kind and great service. It's a nice little cozy Mexican spot.
The salsa is really good that comes with the chips and the refried beans too(better than many Mexican restaurant).
The huevos a la Mexicana were delicious 10/10, I ate them quick!
My friends really enjoyed the wet burrito and the mini tacos appetizer- the favorite was the pastor! I will definitely come back next time I'm in the areaHelpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nate R.Manteca, CA8534822Apr 23, 2024
I had an urge for handmade flour or corn tortilla.
I was told it doesn't come with the meal but order on the side.
So I went and found a place that served the handmade tortillas with a meal
Needless to say, probably won't ever be back
Wow! Frances D. It's a wonder that you are still open.
Hope others read your response. You realize you're hurting your business with your mean attitude.
You are correct, I didn't eat there, I ate someplace else. I hope you're not the owner, you are a representation of what a bad owner is all about.
The issue is, I went to a restaurant that served it with a meal instead of being greedy and charge the customer more money.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Then don’t come back! You didn’t even eat here so just go away and get a life!!!
We only offer handmade corn tortillas as a side option. We told you… so what’s the issue? - 1081336815Mar 10, 20241 check-in
California burrito
* tortilla was great
* even though i dined in, the burrito inside was cold and the cheese inside was not melted
* guac and sour cream was bomb
* steak was acceptable. It tastes good and had some crispy parts but slightly lacked flavor
* fries were generous but thick and soggy
Complimentary chips were golden and deep fried. I didn't love the salsa as much but they did offer a bean dip as well.
Overall still highly enjoyable and I wouldn't mind coming again if the burrito was warm next time.
The servers were AWESOME. So friendly and down to earth.
Huge parking lot in front of the restaurantHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Business owner information

For this place to not be busy on a Saturday can work both ways -- it's not so popular or as desired as a weekend craving BUT it works out to grab a quick bite before your flight because it's just minutes away from LAX!
We were greeted by a sweet and chatty server. She gave samples when one of my gorl friends couldn't decide on the juices. And instead of chips and just salsa, she surprised our group with additional dips like bean dip and guac. Service was great!
But what brought this review to 3 stars is the food. It's honestly mid. Pork was dry and chips were bland after she's raved it's the best she's had. I needed to over-lime my tacos. I did like that you could mix up your proteins but if I had known al pastor would be past juicy, I'd go for the more tender meat. Even my other gorl friend didn't like her chicken. So to pay $12 for really mid tacos is kind of disappointing but at least portion is good.
Overall, a decent spot to grab some grub before your flight without paying overpriced airport food!Helpful 6Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 2Business owner information

La Fonda is my go to place every time I'm in the area. The severs are always super nice and the food is always delicious.
You scan the barcode for their menu, and are promptly served chips, salsa, and a side of refried beans (which are delish). I ordered the huarache with carne asada. The huarache was freshly made, with a great portion of meat, beans, salsa, crema, cheese, and lettuce.
The vibe remind me like, if you were are your mom's or tias house, because everything is served fresh and authentic Mexican.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 14, 2024
I think the entrance is so cute. They have joyful and fun things as decor. The flavor was there but I thought it was going to be a bit bigger. It was still good & I'd order again other things.
Very friendly service.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jan 6, 2024
Instant fan. I grew up in Inglewood and give a big thumbs up to this culinary addition. La Fonda offers inexpensive, high-quality Mexican food in a cute, but not fancy, modern setting. I ordered my Al Pastor Wet Burrito with red and green sauce - Christmas style - with red atop one end and green on the other. The green was spicer, but both quite delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered from bowls to fish tacos. The service was super friendly too. More sauce for the fish tacos? Yes right away! They had a pretty good selection of beers too - Dos Equis, Corona, and Modelo - Superior or Negra.
The signs are funny - they make sure everyone feels welcome and it's really clear that they don't want to hear your cell phone. Use your headphones or for calls, make them outside.
Authentic Mexican food with quality ingredients, what's not to like? I'm a fan. 4 stars!Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Elizabeth S.Fresno, CA90111184Apr 13, 2024Updated review4 check-ins
Haven't been here in years!!!! It's still delicious. Service was with a smile and FASSST! They expanded inside. They have a lot of room now and the bathroom was clean and stocked. Always my place to come when I'm in Inglewood up to no damn good. I got the taquito plate.

Dec 18, 2017Previous reviewWow. This place was good. The beans were good. The Spanish rice was perfect. I ordered one carnitas Gordita and one al pastor sope. They were delish. The bestie ordered chicken taquitos and she was very happy with them. The place is small but modern and decorated cute and the owners really pay attention to detail. There are cute sayings all over the walls. Chips, salsa and beans were given as appetizers. The prices were also really good. And when the bill came, they give you packs of little chiclet gums like you find in TJ.
Wow. I came back again to eat here before leaving town and had the hard shell taco plate with carnitas and al pastor and it was soooo good. The tacos stayed crunchy. I also had a horchata (free refills) and it was so good. I took more great pics of the place. It has such a positive energy. It also has a little basket of kids books available to kids. I will be back to Inglewood in March to see Demi Lovato so I will get my fix of La Fonda! AND we also got a side of guacamole for FREE! - Adriana G.Sacramento, CA202323Apr 21, 2024
I have been to so many restaurants in my short 23 years of life but I have to tell y'all that this is the #1 best restaurant I've ever been too! The food was soooo freaking delicious. The service was top notch. And the atmosphere was great. Everything was so tasty. I 100% recommend this place!!! The drinks were so good too!!
