Nice gym and has all of the equipment needed. But when a machine breaks it takes a long time to get fixed, especially the row machine which one is still broken.

The equipment is always breaking down & it takes them weeks to fix it. The dumbbells always go missing & I have to walk around looking for the weight I need. People hoard the weights @ the benches & staff does not intervene or have signs up. People take up 2 machines by working out on one & put their belonging @ another to save their spot. I actually witnessed a guy hollering @ another man because he tried working out on a machine & the guy literally was @ another machine & he didn't have anything saving the other machine. Had a rude man walk up & ask me if I was using a machine I was actually on & asking when I would be done. He got annoyed & walked away talking about me under his breath. They have the heat way too high in the winter & then it's hot in the summer. Now I remember why I left. Will be leaving again.

This gym upon entering has a great vibe. Ravi is a professional and kind location manager and will answer whatever questions you have in a timely fashion. The strength training area is my favourite part of the gym. This part of the gym is clean, tidy, and orderly mostly... The equipment in the strength training area is intense, but, effective. I love this gym and the associates and a few of the people there are kind as well.

Hate to say it but this is place is not good.
The layout is convoluted, and its sad that in such a large space there are barely 2 racks which even those aren't that good.
No round plates so you can't really deadlift here because when you put those octagon plates down they'll roll around.
The workers seem very chill however.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dorina N.PA, PA0892Aug 7, 2023
Great place to workout independently. One of the fans upstairs is half broken and needs the standstill upright mode repaired. Place should be a bit more air conditioned in the summer since so many bodies in there create heat. I'm wondering when the original closing times will resume since COVID. The 12AM closing time on the weekdays and 8PM closing time on the weekends were so convenient for people with late work shifts to squeeze in a workout after work. Friendly and helpful staff always.

Solid gym for the price of $35 a month but here are the issues
1. Front desk is not welcoming and always on their phones doing social media instead of welcoming and wishing all that are leaving a nice day
2. The Life Source Nutrition Bar never has anyone ever there and apparently opens at 7 am (front desk isn't sure what time it's open) THAT NEEDS TO CHANGE come in at 6:30 am ! I have heard many members upset and think it's a waste of space.
3. Most important the gym needs major upgrades - equipment and showers- all below standards
Again, it's a $35 a month gym and management clearly doesn't not give a shit and allows for members to have a poor experience.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gaurav P.Andalusia, PA562150Feb 21, 2022
Shittiest place in b-town. I wish I had other options near by. Upstairs ellipticals don't have cup holders. TVs are from 80s. Every other equipment is old and worn down and they have no plan to replace it.

The staff will lie to you about memberships, if you want to cancel they'll tell you that the only person that can cancel memberships is gone for the week and continue to keep giving you the run a round. Had to call my bank and stop recurring purchases.

As a gym, this location of LA Fitness is fine. The facilities are kept relatively clean. There's a wide selection of weight machines and a decent amount of benches/free weights. You'll wait during peak hours for a bench, but that's the case for most gyms. I've never had to wait for a treadmill or elliptical, and I appreciate the big stretching area upstairs. Friends enjoy the classes though I've personally never attended them. There are only two squat racks which is absurd for a gym this size. The sales staff and trainers can be aggressive which is also annoying.
I'd rate the gym overall four stars since I can usually get a decent workout in, but I have to dock a star for the clientele that frequents the gym. Granted, this is no fault of LA Fitness, but man I wish there were better behaved people that lifted here. Many people don't rerack their weights so dumbbells, bars, etc. are left strewn about the free weights area which is both inconvenient and a safety hazard. I sometimes spend more time searching the floor for the dumbbells I need than actually exercising. Machines and equipment are rarely wiped down by other members. I've had more issues with other members here than at any other place in Bensalem or elsewhere, and the lack of overall gym etiquette is appalling. I'll continue to go to this location since it's the closest gym to my home, but the classless clientele definitely puts a damper on an otherwise solid location.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
