La Brea Compassionate Caregivers

Clean and well organized dispensary, with great selection and kind, patient staff. Behind the counter is a colorful, easy to read chart denoting the names and prices per weight of each strain available. They have over 30 different strains, and an impressive selection of edibles (with a lot of vegan options)! You can find their full menu on Leafly.com, which is updated weekly.

My bud tender was Albert, who was very knowledgeable of the effects of each strain, and helpful in choosing the right one for me. First time patients get a free gram, so I left with two grams of top shelf indica for $18 (plus tip). Convenient location on La Brea just above Melrose. I will be back!

I've been here with my husband twice and both have been good experiences, clean and friendly people. Today we barely made it before closing and the guys were all happy and helpful, told me the specials and 2 helped me find my edipuffs (couldn't remember the name to save my life). Got my discount a smile and "have a good weekend".

Cons: traffic is a muther and no cell phones inside the room.

Pros: friendly and helpful guys and about 40-50ft from Pinks. Yummers :)

Wonderful, nice, helpful and knowledgable staff.
First time at a dispensary and wasn't really sure what the process was or even what I wanted.
Told the clerk (I feel bad for forgetting his name because he was so nice) what I was looking for and gave me options and extensively explained easy strain.
He told me about deals and sales, which is the best because saving money is the best.
I felt very taken care of in a very calm and accepting environment.
Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends!

THE BEST!!!

I've been to a total of seven different dispensaries and La Brea Compassionate Caregivers is my hands down favorite. They have an excellent selection of smokables (which are NOT dry) and edibles (which are NOT crap). The facility IS clean and nicely organized.

Their prices are pretty much the same as other dispensaries, so I wouldn't call them pricey. You can find whatever you need on the chalkboard, and I've never been disappointed with anything I've gotten there. Check out the merchandise in the display cases. Give yourself a lot of browsing time. First-time visitors may be overwhelmed: no worries, the people who work there are...

THE BEST!!!

Everyone who's helped me has been extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They know the stock inside and out. Ryan was the first person I met there: he was so helpful on my first visit when I couldn't figure out what to get because I was just a neophyte. Becca helped me on my second trip and couldn't have been nicer. Mikey is also a terrific budtender.

UPDATE (09.17.14): Just got through making purchase at LBCC and have a new person to thank for her patience. Her name is Haiti... yet another great bud tender at LBCC that's helpful, personable, and knows her products.

I wish more places (not just dispensaries) had employees as helpful as those who work at LBCC.

They have great specials:

* 20% off (or free gram) for new patients
* 15% off the first of every month
* 10% AARP discount

TIPS:

* Bring your full-sized license (any reputable dispensary should require one)
* Parking is difficult; take public transit if you can
* Bring cash; they don't accept cards
* Don't come in with an attitude: the people there will do all they can to help you
* Give a really good tip to the staff!

And, no, I don't work there. I just happen to love this dispensary.

Great attention. Good prices. Have one parking spot (that's the only thing I don't like). If you're within hours at which you can't park on La Brea, it's a little bit of a hassle to find parking.

My name is Christian and let me tell you, I LOVE coming to LBCC, be it at their Happy Hour time, when I head over after work to pick up some laughter for later, or on my days off where I have more time to browse their awesome edible section where they have these edibles that are so cute, they say: Eat Me: Be Happy, or Eat Me: Be Chill or other cute expressions that make you excited to eat it later! EVERYONE in the staff is so sweet! So nice! Approachable! They even have a dry erase board with their staff picks. everyone listens and will get personal and give you that ma and pop feel just by carrying on a conversation with you. The guard at the door, or no, the guy that checks ID, he is so nice, reminds me of an uncle of mine, so when I go in I'm all like yes! I'm at home!

Parking is easy, just a block away. And you're really close to Target so you probably need something from there too, why not kill two birds! or a bird and some bud. Thank you LBCC! I'll see you in 30 mins!

Love the staff here. Great people. Not a fan of the new management. The best reason to come here was always the good deals. Now that they've done away with a lot of the perks, there's really no point to make this place your go-to.

Nah, walked in the door, with PDF of my rec to email, as most the dispenseries allow... security guard had none of it, he was like nope. Hard copy only. Get with the times, digital! Save paper!! Can't comment on the product only on my experience. Lobby was sloppy, but from the store front I could have guessed that. Back to MedMen.

I felt like the get-away driver in a bank robbery movie.
My friend wanted me to go w/ him to LB Caregivers...so naturally..I ended up being the one who drove.
Found parking right in front...he popped in....came back out in about 10 minutes.
He said that the worker was very helpful and nice (not usually expected in a dispensary) and that he was given recommendations on what to get.
They have a daily happy hour and great freebies!
