Oh my word, so good!
I did not know this place was only a 10 min drive from my work but man was I happy with my choice of lunch today. I got the Kogi Beef Bowl which is made with NY strip in their secret marinade grilled with onions and places on top of cabbage slaw, steamed rice and gochu sauce topped with chopped green onions! TO DIE FOR! I'm not over exaggerating when I say this was the best meal I've had this month, super fresh, fast and didn't make me feel sick or greasy after like many restaurants in the area. I will definitely be back and trying different items as well as bringing people along to try out the scrumptious food here! 100% recommend to eat here a- great prices too!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jonell M.St. Petersburg, FL0221Mar 11, 2024
Amazing food and atmosphere!! We ordered bulgogi fries, tacos, and a beef bowl. I wish I got chicken the chicken is absolutely amazing, I was afraid the fries would be soggy but they were top tier. My boyfriend and I will definitely be back!!

I am very sad to say that we were extremely let down by Kogi Grill.
After getting this place recommended to us over and over again, we finally had to try it out. The woman at the counter was very kind. They were extremely busy and she was handling it well. It was very dingy inside, but exactly what you would expect for a place like this. You are not coming here for ambiance, you are coming for what is supposed to be great food. We ordered a large spicy pork kogi bowl and a large beef kogi bowl. Both with a sunny-side-up egg added on top. The flavors of the meat were definitely there, but the meat was extremely dry, chewy, and clearly very low quality. Dry meat over bland rice. Not very enjoyable. The egg on top was each bowl's only saving grace, and one yolk was broken. Needless to say, we were very displeased with Kogi Grill, and it seems to be quite overhyped. On a slower day, we might try this eatery again. Perhaps we tried it at a bad time. We wanted to love this place, especially with how convenient it is for us, but Kogi Grill did not hit the mark at all.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - 51933Jan 19, 2024
Soooo good. I got the pork bulgogi bowl and my boyfriend got the 3 meat one. They portions are huge we both had leftovers and thats saying a lot. We are obsessed it was so good and priced well. He made his first google review for this place it was that good. We got takeout but the server gave us extra sauce which was crucial so the service was good and the place was clean as well.

Unexpectedly impressed. 2 locations. This one off Ulmerton. Not really a place to dine in, from the other Yelp reviews and mine, some of the tables are used for storage. Kinda clean...fountain drink station doesn't work, although I don't think meals come with drinks. One tv works...the other one doesn't. K pop videos blaring. Get here early before the lunch or dinner rush because this place was getting busy just after my order was put in. Delivery options I think through apps.
Thought it might not be worth the price, but the portions are large. One burrito, cut in half is good for me. The bowls can definitely be shared, like my bibimbap one. Meat is grilled well and everything seasoned right. Bibimbap was actually tasty, although the egg yolk cooked through on the way home. Burrito and bowl assembled well and not falling apart. Pleasing to the eye, even for takeout.
Don't forget to ask for sauce, utensils, etc. They won't offer or include with your order.
Good choice.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - millie l.Tampa Bay, FL05Apr 5, 2024Updated review

We tried the bowls, and we thought they were tasty. Staff was friendly and helpful. It felt more like a to-go restaurant, but there is some seating. Very informal. I would try it again.

Love this place! So simple but yet so good!
I ordered a Kogi Beef Bowl with an egg on top. So much flavor. The egg is a great addition!
Love ordering from here! Just wish they had more side options or appetizers.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Aug 28, 2022
The 1st time I ate here, I thought it was dirty; but they were very busy with pickup orders. I gave it a 2nd chance and the bowl of beef and rice with secret sauce was pretty tasty and a decent portion. We did takeaway, tho.
The menu is small: meat and rice in a bowl, meat and rice in a burrito, meat and rice in taco shells. This is a good place when you are craving BEEF. But definitely not traditional Korean food with beautiful side dishes and seaweed salad.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Rose R.Saint Petersburg, FL27848147Apr 7, 2023
OK I did that says a delivery through DoorDash! But I called ahead to ask about the Kogi sauce since I have food allergies. The gentleman I spoke with was very sweet and explained what the Kogi sauce was and I said OK let me try it on the side so that I know whether or not, I will have issues and so he did and I placed my order. I got the Kogi beef bowl with a side of the chicken to see what the flavor was like with the grilled chicken! I also added the vegetables which is spinach, bell peppers, mushrooms, and zucchini, because I like a meal heavy on the vegetables. I was not disappointed with any of it. The rice is delicious. The meat was flavorful and just cooked to perfection. But that Kogi sauce is to die for. I was worried about the pepper in it and I didn't have to be. It was tempered beautifully in the sauce.
I will definitely be ordering from here again soon, in fact, I was on TikTok, live and die, absolutely raved about my meal while on live. And told a friend who is on his way to Florida, that he has to go eat there while he's in town.
Sorry, I don't have pictures this time because I was on live while eating it. But the next time I order, I will add pictures to this review.
Picture added! This food is amazing. My 3rd order and consistently cooked to perfection!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
