This school has a culture of discrimination culture against the LGBTQ+ Community!!

My son was recently denied for PREK3 (day care, yes DAY CARE) after the we were told to submit confidential documents and successfully completing his integration, which involved him visiting the school and becoming attached to the idea of going there.
Miss Karen Teich (Director of Enrollment Management) was clearly uncomfortable having two DADs participating in the school walkthrough.
The lack of professionalism has been overwhelming.
When we left the school, we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. After a few days we got an email denying our son with no further explanation.

Miss Karen has avoided giving any further explanation on WHY our little one was denied, and she only stated that the reason has nothing to do with his potential (obviously), therefore we asked her to be CLEAR about it, and her response (days after) was "we don't discuss the reason for denial"

We are NOT interested in a school where my son and his GAY parents aren't welcome and we will not settle for this.
We will not settle for any kind of discrimination.

Parents I beg you do not support a school where diversity isn't welcome
Do not support a school that makes you feel unwelcome
Do not support a school that is clearly uncomfortable and unprepared when they're asked how they embrace kids with gay parents
Do not support a school that chooses to be discriminatory over the best interests of all children with all types of families.

Our daughter had the best preschool/daycare experience at KLA Coral Gables. Her teachers (Oriana and Marilu) truly loved her and her educational development/exposure was top notch. Spanish and ballet classes after school were an added bonus. We will miss Sarah, Leidy and the full staff. We glowingly endorse this school!

KLA Schools of Coral Gables has being a second home for my daughter. Top notch teachers, administrators, and an amazing director. I highly recommend KLA Schools of Coral Gables, you will not be disappointed.

My daughter attended KLA Coral Gables for summer school and we loved it so much !! I was nervous about it being her first time in school at (1.5 years old) but it was the beat thing I ever did. The teachers and learning environment are top notch. I recommend any KLA location because their values and teaching methods are excellent and so impressive. I tell everyone I know about KLA!

4 months ago we paid the deposit for our daughter to attend this school. All pre pandemic of course. After the pandemic affecting our income and needing to move out of the area it took 3 weeks for me to get an answer about getting even just a partial refund. I was just told absolutely not it was non refundable. The fact that they weren't even willing to work with us even slightly is upsetting especially given the current climate. We also gave ample notice so as to not hold up another child's spot. Management should maybe take a look at their policies moving forward.

One of the best daycare/preschools in town! There are many parents who work there and have their children at KLA Coral Gables and this is always a good sign when looking where to put your little ones when you have to work. Some of the most loving women taking care of your kids. I have had a wonderful experience from being allowed to use my deposit from two years previous when I had to decide not to send my baby for medical reasons to hearing my now 3 year old speak about their teachers with such love and joy. In one year my child has increased her vocabulary, learned to socialize, accept other children who are not like her, and enjoy structure and rules. If you are looking for a place where they will love your child and by way of love teach them, KLA Coral Gables is where you need to go. The only problem you might have is that your child never wants to leave.....

I have been very impressed with KLA of Coral Gables. They have been so thoughtful in executing a very safe environment for children during the pandemic. The teachers are friendly, caring, and have really good communication with parents. Not to mention my son loves going to this school every morning and he comes home with a big smile. It makes such a big difference for me to know he is having a good time and learning at the same time. Also like that the director, Sarah gets to know the families and calls everyone by name. Nice touch!

My daughter attends KLA Coral Gables and we could not be happier with our choice in daycare. The staff and teachers are caring and communicative. The environment is enriching and the learning methodology seems to be very effective. My daughter is always delighted to arrive, and I am confident that she is safe and well cared for at KLA. The teachers send home daily notifications about her eating, sleeping, and diaper changing schedule. We also receive a weekly journal with pictures from my daughter's class and descriptions of what they did - each week is a new learning adventure for the kids. Our entire family adores this place!

We are so happy to have our young son here at KLA Coral Gables and recommend it to all of our friends. It's an amazing place with amazing people. The diversity of activities, from sports to music to art, is phenomenal, and there is a genuine warmth and feel of family amongst all of the staff and children. Our two year old son is so happy to go to KLA that in the mornings he can't wait to leave, and he constantly calls out the names of his classmates and teachers. They also do a fantastic job keeping the children safe and healthy and the school very clean and bright with lots of colors and toys. We couldn't be happier.

This is my daughter's 3 year at KLA Coral Gables and we couldn't be happier. It is a pleasure to drop her off every morning and go to work knowing she is in an excellent environment surrounded by amazing teachers and staff that make her feel safe and loved.
