Fast, friendly and thorough, these are still the best docs around! Came in for a cleaning (all the way from Vegas) because I don't trust anyone else to clean this mouf. Seriously though, 5 years after my first visit, KFA is still miles ahead of other dental offices. Don't stay with your doc bc 'he's known you since you were a kid' and don't be the 'I hate the dentist' guy. Come here, get your cleaning on and walk out with a smile. So simple. Derp.
Pro tip: come on a Monday and watch Sportcenter (yes, there are TVs above the chairs). You'll be caught up on all the NFL scores and you won't have dragon breath anymore. Win.Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0Oct 23, 2012Previous reviewNo wait and then I fell asleep during a cleaning today. 'nuff said.

When you first walk you are greeted with a clean, modern looking lobby and a receptionist who is prompt and ready to check you in. I have never waited more than 15-20 min passed my appointment time before getting my name called and I'm not sure I would mind a longer wait because I usually start playing the Xbox360 they have set up in the lobby immediately upon entering.
The hygienists are all very competent and do a great job taking care of you until one of the main Docs (Kahn, Ferarri, or Aldieri) come in and take over. The main crew couldn't be a friendlier bunch. They are thorough and can explain what the fahell is going on inside your mouth without getting you scared and looking for the nearest exit. They will work with most insurance companies and make sure that you are getting the right care at the right price. I have received many different procedures from Zoom whitening to cavity fillings and each time I walk out happy with their work. They even fixed the poor work of an older dentist and did not say one negative thing about him or whatever he did to my grill.
Beyond the super dental work, KFA gets 5 stars for all of the little things that they offer. They have TV's that hover above your chair, massage chairs, I get phone calls about my upcoming appointments, cards during the holidays and they are up to date on all of the latest in dental technology. I usually plan my appointments to coincide with Yankee day game or the Price is Right. What better way to pass the time!? - Mar 13, 2023
I called in because I was having some discomfort with my tooth/gum and it has been a while since my last dentist visit as I could no longer see a pediatric dentist. I called for a regular check up/cleaning and they asked if anything was wrong so of course I added that my gum was causing discomfort. When I arrived I found out they were seeing me for an EMERGENCY visit not a check up or cleaning. They attributed my issue to eating "harsh" foods like "granola" (which I never eat fyi) and told me to book a follow up for a check up/cleaning.
So I did! Then I arrived and found out I needed to book the cleaning separately! I asked if I could possibly do it that day since it was my only day off and they said fine. So we do the scans/X-rays etc. They do the cleaning... cool. I ask what the exam/X-rays said and they said we had to book a separate in office meeting to discuss treatment. WTF? And then would have to book consecutive appointments after that to follow up with treatments. I have never experienced a more obvious money grab in my entire life.
On top of that, I had disclosed my anxiety about the dentist given that I had gotten my first cold sore due to my pediatric dentist not properly cleaning their tools (dentist offices are breeding grounds for viruses) well, guess who got another cold sore directly after visiting THIS dentists office as well? It really makes you question just how sterile their tools are and how much force they're applying when examining your mouth.
Not only that but they send multiple letters in the mail when you don't follow up appointments practically harassing you about the harsh reality gum disease and tooth decay. No short and sweet "hey we miss you!" mailer card like other offices. A full on letter that looks like a bill and that is stamped with an urgent message (it's literally just the two doctors asking you to come spend a ton of money at the office)
This office is exorbitantly expensive, takes way too long to get a single answer to the simple question that is "how do my teeth look". Something that can easily be 2 visits is now 5+ visits. That saying about seeing your dentist at least 1-2x a year? Make that 10 times if you choose this office. And seriously, who has the time for that?Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 2 - Adrienne A.New York, NY04Mar 19, 2024

I have been a long time patient of Dr. Ferrari and moved to Manhattan 6 years ago. Due to no longer having a car, I had decided that maybe it was time to find a dentist in closer proximity to me. I was a dental assistant in the past and I am very particular when it comes to who touches my teeth. I took a chance trying someone new and although they were ok, they weren't Dr. Ferrari. I decided to return back to KFA this year - I had to bottle a friends car - but when it comes to my teeth, I can't just let anyone touch them. This office is very thorough, super clean, and their staff is amazing. From the front desk, to the assistants I always leave with a nice bright smile on my face. I highly recommend KFA dental, especially Dr Ferrari and no matter where I move to, I will always find a way to make my way back to their offices.

Scared of the dentist? Me too. Or at least I was, before I came to Dr. Ferrari 2 years ago. I haven't had a good dental experience since my pediatric dentist kicked me out of his small chair at 18yrs old. It just so happened my reluctance to leave his care was warranted.
Fast forward 15 years and I finally found another dentist I could trust. I came in to Dr. Ferrari's office based off of the recommendation of my in-laws, and it was love at first check-up! She is kind, gentle, knowledgeable, and more technologically advanced than any dental office you would find frequented by celebrities on Park Ave in Manhattan.
Dr. Ferrari has provided services for me to include a crown replacement, a night guard for grinding, cosmetic cavity filling replacements, and in preparation for my wedding in June 2016- Invisalign and Zoom whitening. Which by the way- excuse my lack of modesty here- came out AMAZING!
I can't say enough great things about Dr. Ferrari personally or professionally. She is a diamond in a world of rhinestones. Her office provides world class service which is a representation of her 5-star standards.
Did I mention I drive one and a half hours (on a good day) to see her? I live in NJ.
Make an appointment today, I promise you won't regret it, and you'll never have to search for another dentist again - which in itself qualifies as a life achievement.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kelvin T.Rocky Point, NY01Jun 3, 2019
I just left KFA Dental for my first visit. I was told that my first consultation would cost $299.00, which if you have insurance should cover most of the cost. I learn about KFA dental from the radio station 106.1 long island. I have not received my second consultation, but I am really looking forward. The x-rays, pictures and explanation to your teeth is an experience I have never had at a dental office before, will not mention a name, but I will mention mine. My name is K. Tune and I am looking forward to my upper and lower front bridges replace by KFA Dental. Yes! the price is expensive, you get what you pay for and dental insurance is the worst.

This review is based on a phone call, not a visit. I called to make an appointment for my husband and I to get our teeth cleaned. We are first time patients and I was told that because of that our first visit will take 2 hours each person and will consist of a plethora of xrays, exams (full head and neck, periodontal etc). Once we are done we would have to then schedule yet another appointment to get the cleaning. I have never once heard of anything like it! Called another office right after this phone call and was told it will be a 10 minute exam with xrays and a cleaning the same day. I have been to many dental offices in the past as well and have not had to go through all of these procedures. Sounds like a rip off!

This is an absolutely beautiful luxury dental facility. However if you don't have the one dental insurance they accept you better be prepared to pay big money. I was prepared to pay but after my appointment I had this gut feeling to get a second opinion and so I did. I was surprised at the evaluation that my second opinion gave me over the initial evaluation at KFA. The appointments were only a week apart so not much variance- but at KFA they offered to fill a cavity that I knew was too far gone. I expressed my desire for a permanent solution not a temporary fix and then they offered a root canal. I felt pressured to book the appointment. They didn't tell me anything else on the X-ray- but my second opinion dentist let me know about a cavity next to the tooth in question that was quite obvious. I felt very offended that KFA didn't even mention it to me. They just wanted me to keep setting up appointments to take my money? Also my second opinion told me that this root canal had a high chance of becoming infected due to the location of the decay. I was recommended to have the tooth pulled and look into implants to replace them- which is what I asked at KFA and was told not to pull the tooth because of superficial reasons. Honestly- I'm a big baby at the dentist, always have been. But I'm not an idiot. I understand they run a luxury business but they are doctors too right? I found it left a bad taste in my mouth knowing that if I hadn't gotten a second opinion I'd drop almost 4 grand for a root canal that would have most likely become infected and needed to be removed anyway. Please KFA if you're going to be a luxury business do the right thing by your customers-oops I mean "patients". I cancelled my appointment as soon as I got an honest evaluation and I hate to be negative but I really felt like this review was necessary. I almost got taken advantage of. I would recommend KFA if you have their insurance- and for routine teeth cleanings I suppose. Everybody is very nice there and seemingly professional. I bet they're fantastic with children. But I do not recommend this dental facility for diagnostic evaluation. Maybe if you have their insurance then cool but I just got the vibe that they're all about money there.

This dentist office have been taking care of me for months and they do wonderful work.....aside from the staff being very friendly the the doctors seem to really care for you. They also make sure they do the best they can to make the work painless. I personally hate coming to the dentist (aside from the workers who does) but they make it not so bad.....if you have dental definitely get down to this place they are so worth it....only thing is if your paying out of pocket....you will be paying like for real

Dr. Alderi is an amazing dentist. I was blown away by how well my teeth turned out after Invisalign and some basic cosmetic work that he did afterwards. He and his staff are super friendly and always make you feel welcome and comfortable. I highly recommend them!
