JT's Diner

I stopped by JT's this morning for some breakfast.
I was seated right away and poured a cup of coffee before I could ask for it.
The staff is friendly and what you would expect from a busy restaurant.
I ordered the sausage gravy and biscuits with a side of scrambled eggs.
My food came out really quick.
Everything was freshly prepared and nice and hot.
The sausage gravy was good, but not as comparable as to the good stuff you get down south where I grew up .
The restaurant was decorated nicely not that's really important to me.
This is a great family run restaurant and I highly recommend that you stop by and enjoy a leisurely breakfast.

I was in the area this morning, waiting to get some work done on my car, and heard a diner was nearby with good food.

In my opinion, diner breakfasts typically go one of two ways. 1) Super plain food, dingy atmosphere, and staff that aren't very happy to be serving or in a hustle to get anything for anyone. Or 2) which is the rare, friendly, and attentive staff who is hustling to get food out hot and timely while still maintaining cleanliness.

JT's fits the latter role. It has a great ambiance with lighting and just the right volume on the radio. Super clean. Friendly staff. And delicious food!

This is the first diner where the chicken was crispy without being dry, and the coleslaw wasn't some premade sloppy-as-hell-shit with no flavor.

My wife's hash browns were cooked perfectly, as crispy as they should be.

I would highly recommend this place
to anyone.

Heads up about the owner, Teena...

She is loud, and talks to customers in a way that some reviewers have complained is aggressive, inappropriate, and rude.

Anyone who doesn't have a stick up their ass will see that this is just her playing around and standing up to make herself her brand. That's called marketing folks. Making yourself known through customers discussing you establishes your brand and draws business.

So, get your panties out of a bunch and enjoy the place!!

Great diner ! Have been here for breakfast numerous times. Today was the first time for lunch. Tuna melt and onion rings. My daughter had a Buffalo wrap and fries. Both of us enjoyed lunch! The server is a hoot! She messes with everyone. It's like visiting family hahaha. Thanks for the laughs !

JT's Diner is very reasonably priced with generous portions served quickly. It has a cute atmosphere - not a retro 1950s look but more home-like with both tables & counter seating which was clean & maintained.

Some may take exception to my next comment but that's OK. This was my first visit to JT's. Judging from some of the decorative signs & their motto, "Eat & get out, dork!", sarcasm & banter is the theme. I've been in such places & it can be fun. In my opinion, JT's takes it a little too far & it comes off as loud & obnoxious. But if you're OK with that, consider JT's to be five (5) stars!

Nice breakfast this morning at JTs. Fast paced diner that gets the tables clear so you seat. Breakfast comes quick. Good coffee. Nice portions on the full breakfast. Hashbrowns were cooked well. Sausage Patties had great flavor. Enjoyed the pancakes. Scrambled eggs were ok. Very good value. Nice spacing, large booths. Would recommend trying this place.

Amazing food, quick service with a side of Tina remarks. Always a laugh and good time... can't wait for her ice cream place to open next door!

i was literally drunk last night ranting about needing JT's in the morning. so.. this is where i ended up today. i'm not kidding when i say that this is THE BEST breakfast joint in lake county ohio. we sat down at 9:20 and i'm writing this now 9:48 with a belly full of nourishment. i got a cup of gravy & a biscuit & also the stuffed pancakes with sausage links to share with him and he chose the bacon & cheese omelette with home fries. our total was $20 to our surprise. did i mention the pancakes were STUFFEDDD with mixed berries!? very fast paced place that will get u in & out in no time.

This place is so authentic and gives you the best vibes of feeling like you're in a place that is like home but a restaurant. The owners give you enough of a hard time that it's fun banter and keeps you laughing and feeling comfortable and not stuffy in a restaurant. Food came out SOOOO quickly I was very impressed by it. If you don't like fun bantering from the staff this is not your place if you do then you must stop and try this place out as it was a pleasant surprise

We eat breakfast here a few times a month. Great food. Fair price. Immaculate service with an energetic atmosphere. LOVE JT's!

I'm torn on this one because the food was really great and our server was fun.

But I can't completely support an organization that is going against what is recommended from a social distancing and mask wearing perspective. See the attached photo.

There was also a customer talking about being pretending to be gay and joking with the staff about it, which promptly stopped when I leaned out of my booth rather loudly and said "yeah I'm gay too", making most people around fairly uncomfortable. Typical "off the beaten path" diner though.

Maybe I'll come back with my boyfriend and wear my heels.
