I am not one to write reviews, however, I had an extremely positive customer service experience at this Jos A Bank. I went in looking for a suit and settled on purchasing a custom suit after trying on multiple items with the help of the in-store associates. The process was very smooth and felt like I had been sized correctly, however, when the suit arrived it did not fit me well at all. After several iterations of trying to get the right fit (including various alterations and even Jos A Bank ordering a new suit altogether), I determined that the style suit just wasn't going to fit (I was going for a slim fit all-wool suit, which did not offer enough flexibility for my shape). I was disappointed because I wasn't sure what the return policy was around custom orders. Fortunately, the store fully refunded my order and was immediately helpful in finding another suit in store that fit perfectly (different style and material).
I don't typically put up such a stink when making a purchase, but given this was a big purchase for me, I wanted to make sure I got it right. Fortunately, the associates were understanding and patient with me during the entire process. I was pleased that the associates at the store (specifically Jay and Ryan) assured me that they would work to find a solution for me, which they did. Both were very understanding of my concerns, not to mention very informative during the sizing process. Came in late on a Sunday to pick up a suit for a wedding two weeks out. figured two weeks is cutting it very short but Mike the sales guy was helpful and positive and after a little over an hour of trying stuff on and searching through the racks we found the suit I wanted. All I needed was some alterations, which Mike assured me could be accomplished in the two weeks before the wedding. Since it was late on Sunday I offered to come back Monday to get fitted for the alterations. Mike was gracious and wrote down who I should ask for depending on what time I arrived on Monday. When I showed up Monday I spoke to Aaron at the front desk and explained how I was there to be fitted for the suite I picked out the day before. Aaron returned from the back of the store in a huff explaining that Mike was late and that my suite wasn't there... That's it...That's all he said. Nothing about trying to help me out, he just wanted to let me know what little he thinks about Mike. When I asked him what's next he shrugged and threw up his arms. Nothing, not a word from this guy about what he could do for me now that I was there in the store. He didn't offer to help me find the suit in the rack, even as I was walking out of the store letting him know that after this horrific retail experience I will be canceling my order and won't be coming back. 180 degrees different from my last experience at this store, but it doesn't even seem they want me to return.... I won't.

James over there is the most u helpful person I've ever experienced within customer service. I called 3 separate times just wanting to find out shipping information on when to expect a shipment from the store and he was extremely unhelpful and rude. Not sure how hard it is to look up the status of the shipment, but the first time he put me on hold for 20 minutes. The second time I called he finally asked for my personal information which seems like it could have been useful during the initial conversation before I was on hold for 20 minutes - then he put me back on hold. The third time I tried him he said "we're working on it" and hungup on me. The fourth he didn't pick up the phone. Still haven't gotten the shipment that I was told would arrive by now. James shouldnt have a job.

Came here to get a suit for a friend's wedding. As fairly inexperienced suit shoppers, my partner and I found everyone we spoke with to be very helpful - especially Ryan, who was especially friendly & knowledgeable!

I purchased a suit here almost a year ago now, and was too flustered after the experience to leave an honest review at the time, somewhat concerned that the woman at the desk would experience retaliation from her boss. Here goes.
I had multiple issues with the experience:
1. A man (who I presume to be the location manager) was condescending to the woman who rang up the sale. As a customer, it was immediately obvious to me that this would be a hostile place to work. Not a good look.
2. That same man kept insisting that I sign up for some kind of special offer by allowing them to use my phone number and mailing address for advertisements. After repeatedly declining, he was condescending toward me, saying something to the effect of "whatever. Your loss." Here's the kicker: he STILL SIGNED ME UP!!! I'm actually writing this review out of frustration, upon receiving yet another batch of ads in my mailbox.
3. The suit jacket itself didn't fit in the store. I expressed concern about this, and was told that I ought to buy it anyway, because a tailor would be able to make it work. They sent me to a tailor with 37 YEARS of experience, and the jacket still looks like crap.
Tl;Dr: the manager is abusive toward their employees, they signed me up for ads that I firmly declined to spite me, and I have a 500+ dollar suit jacket that I will never wear because it can't fit me.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

I had to wander around the shop for 10 or so minutes before any of the sales associates acknowledged me. Then, they informed me they didn't have any vests and advised me to go to H&M or Zara.

I am writing this review acknowledging that Jos. A Bank itself is great, and I have bought product from them for a long time... But this location IS THE WORST.
One staff member in particular was incredibly rude when we were trying to make a return, and stated that it was akin to "returning underwear". He took his time to condescendingly lecture us, turned everything around on us, and informed us that he "felt we were taking advantage of them"....by returning shoes that caused nerve pain and legitimately could not be worn, no matter how much we liked them. Over $100 down the drain.
Buyer beware... Go to another location if you're going to shop here! It's a good company, but the staff in this location are unfriendly and unapproachable - not even a hello when you enter the store!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Cat-fished and wasted my time for a $99+20 rush shipping option for a tuxedo rental -- after I called the night before, came to the store, did the fit--suddenly it wasn't available, and the new price was $169.99. It wasn't really the price but the fact that the store associate changed his price and value. This should be a case for the better business bureau. Those are just the facts. But Jeremy was nice and helpful.
