Joe's Taxi in Pasco county FL..Has always Charged 8.00 for a Delivery, Yesterday 8/21/22 I was Charged 32.00 Dollars for the same Delivery Service!!.I will NEVER use JOES TAXI AGAIN..Be WARNED

The dispatcher is crazy..nice one minute,black listed me in less than a minute.

I watched one of their cars (pictured) dangerously driving down little road near between 54 and little road. The driver did a u-turn from the southbound lane of little road, into the northbound lane. She almost hit traffic heading north. She made 3 cars slam on their brakes. She then proceeded to accelerate very quickly and swerve in and out of traffic. She got stuck at the same ted light at me and old 54 and little and that is when I saw 2 very young children in the car with no seatbelts on. I wish I would have called the cops on her because what she was doing was not only extremely dangerous, but illegal in numerous ways. She was laughing, without a care in the world.

I've used Joe's Taxi on and off for nearly 5 years, and its had its moments - good and bad - depending upon the dispatcher or driver, but because of the their senior discount and their local availability I stuck with them. Then in 2021 their wait time continued to increase, and I noticed that some changes occurred - like discovering from my driver (who was very nice) that she had been sitting somewhere waiting to be dispatched for 30 minutes...and I had been told that they 'had no one available', so I ended up waiting for 60 mins.
SORRY THIS IS SO EPIC...but you just might find it interesting..:)
Today I only needed a ride to local store and back, and as I'm in my mid 70's I can't walk as much as I used to, even if its local. Anyway I was told that it would be '45 minutes' and I said OK. After 35 minutes beyond this point I called and was told that because I was a 'round trip' I was essentially last on the list. That I was 'not a priority'. Not understanding 'why' this was, I waited another 40 minutes and then called again, only to be told same thing, AND the guy answering didn't know where my ride was to... which implied that I wasn't in their system, which concerned me. And when I questioned him about this he was rude. It was as if there was real' intention' to get someone out to me. After waiting for over 2 1/2 hours he finally said that he would send someone and I got a text telling me that someone was coming. Though still waiting after this for awhile....I realized that calling someone else at this late date would have meant some kind of wait time again... and I was too tired and stressed-out to start over again with someone else. So I was just relieved that 'someone' was finally on their way, even if they hadn't arrived yet.
As my phone was running low on battery and had to wait in a room where I could keep an eye out for the driver.. (with no place to charge phone) I had to turn my phone off for a bit to save the battery. Awhile later, I turned the phone back on assuming it would now have enough charge to get me to my destination and home again. Suddenly there's a text telling me that my ride had been cancelled! This after waiting for nearly 3 hours!! When I called in shock - that this had happened.. I was told that they had called me and because I didn't answer they canceled my ride. Even though they had NEVER called me before just before my ride was to appear.. this didn't matter. And there was no offer to make this whole disaster right. There was '0' empathy for an older lady who had hung in there all afternoon.
Before this company was sold to another owner, no matter the problem someone cared enough to at least make up for something like this, or you could speak to someone who would make things right; including Joe himself - who had previously handled something that a driver had done that was illegal while driving me. So at least you knew that someone cared behind the scenes.
But these two dispatchers today not only didn't CARE that I had waited this long, or that I was a long term customer, but acted like it didn't matter. And that the only ones who 'did' matter, were people going to work. Last time I looked a Taxi service was not only for 'one group of people' and to heck with the rest. They operated on a first come, first serve basis, and had some modicum of concern for the customers they were serving. This is no longer the case at Joe's, and they have obviously forgotten that they are there to serve the 'general public' NOT one small part of it only. So unless they change their advertising saying that they only serve customers using their service for rides to work...they are now violating their own advertising and short changing the rest of us. Sadly, seniors don't count there anymore.

Bad experience he is going too charge me $120.00 then $14.00 dollars I am pregnant and have other issues I take medicine maybe he does too never ever ever again

If i could put "no stars" i would! Absolutely the rudest company ive ever dealt with, and i work with the public!!! Maybe, if they ever arrive on time, i could deal with the nasty mouth however...im paying to be talked to like shit and get to work late! I will walk to work before i call this company again!! The drivers are nasty, the cars are gross, and dispatch is a rude bitch!!

What ever happened to Joe's Taxi service? I'm in my 70's and no longer drive. When I lived in Port Richey, near the bus line, that's what I used, now living in Hudson for 5 yrs. I am forced to take cabs. I've used yellow cab, 777, etc. but have used mostly Joe's most of the time. It was wonderful! Always got a cab within 10-20 minutes. For the last year, it is consistently 45-90 minutes and the dispatcher cannot give an accurate timeframe. Sad to see a good service company go so far down hill.

This is the best taxi service that I have ever used in my life!! The drivers are fun and very knowledgeable!! The "ginger" was my favorite!! He busted out the karaoke cab and we loved him!!
I left my phone on one ride and they were nice enough to knock on the door and bring it back to me

I was riding my bike, using the new criss walk on Main St, with lights flashing when a vehicle from Joe's taxi, saw me, and sped up. 4 feet from my bike, he dramactically slammed on his brakes. He came very close to hitting me, after hr sped up on the doenhull slop of the Cotee River bridge. Do not use this company, as the drivers are either not paying attention, or are just too agressive.
