About the Business
At our pizza restaurant, we choose to go the extra mile and use only the finest ingredients that are either imported from Italy or are grown here locally in Ohio. Most pizza places can only resemble Italian, we are an Italian restaurant with a chef that has studied and is certified in Italian cuisine. We set ourselves apart with favors and tastes that you can only get from home. Our fresh pizzas are served New York style with a Sicilian crust in a family restaurant atmosphere. Call us today and savor the difference of a real homemade pizza! Conveniently located at the exit where highway 16 and 37 split, order some take out on your way home tonight. And we are open on Sundays! Have an event in need of catering, check out our other homemade menu items. We as offer delivery from 5 pm to 2 am!

Food was very good, fresh and prepared well. It was just ridiculously expensive. And don't rely on the menu thats posted on Yelp, its way out of date, at least the prices shown are.
Will probably try it again but not in a hurry.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jennifer F.Pleasanton, CA02Nov 28, 2022
Pizza good. The family loves it.
Owner never has been nice to me. Gruff. Not sure why. I am respectful to everyone. I order and my husband picks it up so I don't have to feel bad over and over again.
Stars are based on pizza minus a star for the customer service.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shea S.Granville, OH263221776Aug 21, 2022
My opinion is pizza is always better when you can dine in and have it fresh. We looked at Elms pizza (closed on Sunday) we saw DeFelice said dine in so we headed that way, NOPE no dine in it just "says that online" lol. Same with Joe and Mimi's it says dine in but she told us it is not, they are to small but did offer us a old table on the patio and we took her up on it. Wasn't to friendly but wasn't mean, almost like the offer was expected to be declined then was shocked we said yes. We ordered two 12 inch pies and spaghetti w/ a meat ball. My daughter (7 years old) said the spaghetti was good, needed more sauce. The pizza is also good, nothing out of the ordinary but good. Served in slices and says "New York style". The appearance was like a Pizza Hut BUT the crust actually held up and had a little crunch which was a pleasant surprise. Over all, decent spot that is close to us so that is a plus.

Awesome... I was a little concerned because their dinning room only had 3 tables in it and it was a little off the beaten path. I was truly surprised at how good the food was. We started out with the antipasto salad which was great (it was kind of a shame I did not get a pic of it because it looked as good as it tasted). The wifie had their Italian sub which was AWESOME. I had the pizza rollover or something like that which was a meat filled stromboli which was AWESOME. I am excited about stopping back to try the pizza. I strongly recommend that you stop in if you are in Granville and hungry. The owner was super nice and provided great service.
Yes this is a 5 star review of a take out pizza shop with only 3 tables inside but it is that good.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shellie E.Reynoldsburg, OH103120316Nov 28, 2020
Wow! We recently moved to Granville and have been trying out some of the pizza places. We thoroughly enjoyed our large pepperoni, onion, tomato and hot pepper pizza! They are not lying when they say it is New York pizza - it is!! Really authentic and so delicious. Highly recommend!
We picked it up and placed it in a 350 degree confection oven for 5 minutes and it was perfect.
We also had 2 side salads with fresh cut greens and just real veggies - no cheese or croutonsHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joe B.Huntingdon, PA032May 13, 2022
They were not very friendly and just to busy to explain to a new customer the way they operate. It's hit it miss if they are open and you have to order ahead of time or wait for them to cook a pizza for 30 min in which they discourage you to do so. So i opted yo try a salad and they were very sparse with nothing but lettuce. Not a good experience for my first time there. Decide to walk out with nothing

Probably the best pizza I've had in Ohio, and one of the best I've ever had, anywhere. Everything was super fresh and cooked to perfection. The guy making/cooking the pizza comes off as a grumpy New Yorker, but don't let that keep you from ordering some of the best pizza you'll ever have. The beautiful blonde lady who took my order and handed me my pizza was just as sweet as can be. A couple tables outside (none inside), but it's pretty much a take-out joint (not sure about delivery). To sum it all up, no matter what you see or hear, this pizza is special!

Disappointed for the 400th time! Realistically this is at least the 20th time that this pizza shop has had some reason not to provide us a meal, 3rd time this week! 6:45 on a Friday and they're out of dough and stopped answering the phone (they open at 4). They're constantly out of food, closed, on vacation, or any other reason to not be open during their stated hours. They no longer have a website so good luck finding a menu. There's 3 different phone numbers depending on where you look, not that any of them ever work.
This is the worst managed business ever! What makes the situation even more annoying is their food is really good!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 30, 2015
There are few restaurants that get 5 stars from me, Joe & MiMi's Pizzeria is definitely one of the few that deserve the high rating!
They grow their own produce, they have 20 plus years of mad pizza making skills, there are no preservatives. Please take note, their meatballs are THE BEST.
The owners are really nice. Joe is the dude and MiMi is his mother. Joe knows how to make a (Neapolitan) NY style pizza like no other! Since we dined in, MiMi took care of us like any good Italian mother* would.
Now why are you still reading this review? Go order a pizza already...
(*- I don't know if MiMi is Italian but I say it as a term of endearment and a compliment)Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eric M.Granville, OH0144Jul 31, 2020
I really enjoyed this pizza...everything tasted really fresh and the crust was cooked to perfection. The house salad was simple but fresh and tasty. Hands down 100% would pick this place other the other pizza place in town.
