Jersey's Gameday Grill

Went here for the first time. Got here as the lunchtime was ending 1320. Took awhile to get seated. Once seated, we again had to wait for a server. We ordered, and the time from ordering to serving was 27 minutes. The food came to the table a little flip flopped (French fries and onion rings) on two of the meals. Not a big deal. One meal had a request of Mayo. The sandwich didn't come with it. Once the server came back Mayo was requested. I waited over five minutes, then I went up and asked our server for the Mayo. She gave it to me, I was hoping for "oh, I'm sorry. I forgot " but oh well. Over all. The food was ok.

Been here a few times now, sometimes during big games...other times when all that's going on is talk shows about sports and, well, golf. While it's way too loud during the former that should be expected and is also a fun atmosphere to be in, and in that same light it's a nice calm place to grab some lunch during the middle of the day in the middle of the week. The staff is pretty nice and it's what you'd expect from a sports bar. Loads of TVs, a little unclean but not in a way that makes you disgusted or feel bothered about eating, and a good atmosphere.

The food is typical sports bar food; nothing amazing but a good selection of "pretty good" choices. Be careful of the burgers though - they aren't bad but the amount of grease EVEN for a place like this was unbelievable. Every time I've gotten one it's just oozing in the stuff with a literal puddle, an actual liquid puddle, in the basket leaking through onto the table. I ended up throwing up about 10 minutes after leaving; again, not due to the food being bad or undercooked but literally the intense quantity of grease just was too much for my stomach to handle and I'm someone who practically lives off fast food and bad-for-me eats in general.

I'd recommend avoiding that and ordering something likely to be a bit more dry. I usually go with the chicken tenders now which are nice with some good crispy fries.

Only reason for 1-star is the roach that was behind my back at the booth we sat at. I told waitress and she didn't seem to care much. We had salads and a Philly sub sandwich which was good needed a bit more meat. The place was very dark - I won't be back. Not a fan of roaches

Sometimes, I get a little bummed out trying to find a good place to eat in small towns. Jersey's provides a pretty good bar atmosphere and a nice alternative to simply eating at BWWs across the street. We ate there when visiting the in-laws a couple of weeks ago, and I had a pretty good burger there. I'd highly recommend the burger and pretzel bites.

Do yourself a favor and give this a try when in Defiance instead of BWWs.

Ate a Italian sub and cheese bread great tasting and Jake was a good waiter nice place to eat and be with frt

Came in with a big group, not a long wait at all. Our waitress was wonderful even tho most of us were frazzled from traveling. Food was basic bar food but all hot and fresh. Quesadilla with fajita chicken was our favorite.

Parking good. Bathrooms clean. Cheap prices and large portions.

Well. I wanted to give a 5 star but I never had a chance.

I told the hostess I wanted to sit at the bar. She stated that it was full . I said I didn't want to sit alone and really wanted to try the venue .

She began to retrieve her phone and look up local venues that I could go to.???? WTH
Really you are going to send away a potential customer ?! So wrong. I even mentioned no was from out of town. Maybe if I mentioned Bo was gonna review then she may have got me a seat.
I could see multiple high tops in the bar open as well as one seat at the bar but their loss . Too bad I really anted to try their food. It's almost like she read me and as like. Not your kind ...

I got chicken tenders basket. Fries are superb. Penny is my server. She's very kind. Food came out very quick and I was very well taken care of. Outdoor space is very nice. Penny checked on me many times throughout the meal. Good place to be

I tried this place over BWW across the street, being the adventurous Yelper that I am. I liked it . I had a very friendly waitress. I ordered the Steak and Cheese sub with a side of seasoned fries (like the curly ones from Arby's) but these are straight. The cost was 4.99 and it was brought to my table fast.

I liked the sandwich. It was slightly spicy, but not overwhelming.

Plenty of tv's. Great sports bar. I saw a lot of people ordering wings and pizza.

I stopped for a late snack and we pleased with everything. The wait staff was very nice and the food was good. I ordered the naked wings with the house bbq sause and a side of fries. The wings were cooked perfectly in my book and the fries were nice and hot and also quite tasty. I also ordered some fried pickles. I don't normally order fried pickles, but these were very good.
