Haven't stopped by a library in years! Was very impressed coming back here. It was well kept, has super friendly staff members, and I enjoyed the option of e-books and audiobooks!

It's a nice library with a nice staff. Convenient location for Kenner folks. Not sure why it has bad reviews - it's everything a small library should be.

Great service and knowledgeable librarians. The staff really helped me find the right books for my research. Manager was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend checking out this library.

This is a small, cute library in Kenner. There is an online search database that will tell you if they have what you need in house. Since it is a small
Library, this would be good to check into before you head over needing specific books, etc. I went to check something out and to do some schoolwork. There were comfortable spaces to sit, near plugs, to do this. There were also lots of computers for people that needed them. I needed to pay a fine and renew my card before I could checkout, as well as change the address on my card. The lady at the desk was very pleasant and patient, and made the somewhat tedious process almost enjoyable :)Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 25, 2013First to Review
This small library located in North Kenner is in need of some updating. The building design was modern when it opened decades ago but now it is quite unappealing. This is the same library I grew up going to since I was in elementary school with NO aesthetic improvements over the years.
Computers and lots of chairs and space for people to read books are of the utmost importance to library patrons these days. North Kenner has enough computers with about 3 dozen but they have few places to sit down and read.
This library should be asking themselves how should they change and develop? What is their role in today's techno world? What can we offer to our community that will draw them into the library?
Libraries are changing quickly as they transition with new technology, ebooks, and digital media. Gone are the days where new libraries just have shelves after shelves of books. A larger portion of library budgets are being allocated to these computers, ebooks, and technology. This branch is still stuck in the old ways with very few ebooks or technological advances such as apps to access the library's materials.
I hope the best for the North Kenner Library. It has been a staple of Kenner since it opened in 1985 but sadly it is not a library that I enjoy going to today due to its outdated resources.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Dean J.New Orleans, LA061Dec 28, 2018
Seriously, do not come here if you want quiet for studying. The patrons are allowed to be loud. Loud conversations and Cell phone conversations, etc ... ridiculous. no one says anything to quieten them. Some of the staff are loud too. I do, but that isnt my job.
Other than that its a decent library.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Hailey E.Destrehan, LA1212Mar 2, 2021
Horrible, took my mask off for a second to take a sip of my drink and was approached by a man telling me to keep my mask on or get out. Very rude, could have politely asked me to keep it on. Not sure how anyone drinks with a mask on. Will never be coming here again. Librarians were very loud and disrespectful.

Love this library! They are very helpful. It's mostly quiet. It has been closed due to renovations & I am excited to see what they have done. Looking from the outside, they have made major updates like painting & have gotten new furniture. I am looking forward to seeing it today!

Terrible. I came in to get some studying done. The people don't even try to be quiet. The librarians can be heard across the library talking and the people on computers don't wear ear buds or even turn their speakers down. If you're expecting a quite library to study, I guess this one isn't the place:( the study rooms are only for 2-3 people so if you come solo you're screwed. Next time I'll find a Starbucks.
