Jeanitas Dance & Actionwear

Small store but great selection! I was mega impressed. Easy to navigate. I'm starting ballet classes again after eight years away. They set me up with tights, shoes, leotard, and lots of encouragement that I would have a great time and have no reason to be nervous. Decent prices too! Half the prices of leos I checked out other places, comparable to items I found online.

So I'm participating in my first yoga competition next week (I know, I know "yoga competition!?" read all about it here: http://www.usayoga.org) and I need a leotard. I have never, in my life, bought a leotard and it was a baffling prospect. I went to a dance store in Pittsburgh, but when I couldn't squeeze one buttock into the size that seemed appropriate, I quickly gave up and drove home to Cleveland.

Of course, I still needed that leotard, so I did some googling and found Jeanitas - hooray! Peggy was genuine, helpful and friendly. She helped me realize & accept that I needed a larger size, recommended a few brands, and was just the right amount of chatty while I tried on half her stock of grown-ass woman leotards.

I don't have a comparison point, but the variety of brands, sizes, and styles available for both kids & adults seemed pretty substantial. I'm really happy with the one I picked. Thanks Peggy!

Peggy is absolutely wonderful at recommending shoes & fittings. I've been shopping here since I was 3, and now I fly home from NYC just to get new shoes, leotards, etc.

Great store! I love to have a local place where I can buy Zumba clothes. The owner is really fantastic and has such an impressive dance background; she will definitely help you find what you need!

We were at the store this week and they had absolutely everything we needed and more! The owner was EXTREMELY helpful with finding me the right sizes. I will definitely shop there in the future.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! The owner needs to polish up on her CS skills along with her terrible attitude. Was planning on buying 2 pairs of tap shoes along with outfits for my girl's first dance class - but the owner was SO RUDE she lost our sale!!! When I questioned about sizing of the shoes (She told me they ran small because they were "Boys Shoes" - UGH what does that have to do with them running small AND - great thing to let my GIRLS who are 6 & 8 know) - NO TACT! The entire time I was in Jeanita's I felt as though I was an inconvenience. (The only thing I can contribute the owner to being not so pleasant was the fact that I was not interested in her almost $80 tap shoes and wanted the "Synthetic" taps which were quite a bit cheaper - since this was my girls 1st dance class and wanted to make sure they actually liked it before investing in better quality shoes) I did call out her "Poor Attitude" and told my girls to put their shoes back on - She then proceeded to ask me to leave her store... NO worries I was on my way out!
