J & S Auto Center

I was involved in a collision in June '09 and my insurance took my car to this shop for the repairs. At first, they were kind and seemed professional. I thought it was great that they "fixed" my car in just 4 days. However, the day I picked up my car, the engine light came on and the air conditioner didn't work. I took it back the next day and they just reset the engine light switch and "fixed" my air conditioner. I called them again and they said they'd look at it if I brought it in. I was already back at work so I wasn't able. Before I had a chance to take it back, they started calling me asking me to pay the balance due. I told them I paid my deductible and my insurance will pay the remaining balance. That's why I have insurance. They continued to harass me everyday telling me that I have to pay them because my accident was under investigation at that time. I work 24hr shifts so after a while, I stopped answering their calls and ignoring the threats they'd leave on my voicemail. The last conversation I had with them, they told me I had to return my car to them or pay the remaining balance. I told them I wasn't going to do either so they threatened me with their lawyer. My insurance paid them after the investigation was over. It was just a matter of being patient. I've never gone through anything like this with any other shop. My car still hasn't been fixed and now it's making an odd noise when I accelerate. I'm currently waiting for the adjuster to call me so I can finally get my car properly repaired. But I will not take it back to J & S and I will not recommend this place to anybody.

I did get my car fixed but, sadly, 2yrs later I was t-boned by a new tundra and my car was totaled. Either way, I'd like everyone to know how unprofessional this place is.
