The best tuna kimbap!
I ordered a large, which is 2 rolls, for $15. It's located inside H-mart foodcourt and thank god it was opened today! I definitely would come back for this again. And maybe try the beef kimbap. The rolls are cut precisely and they even give the ends too. It's flavorful and so light! I know its rolled rice wrapped in seaweed but I could eat this for days! Love it!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 339439425Jan 24, 2022
The soondae is chewy (in a good way) and holds together instead of crumbling. I would get it again.
This last time I ordered the chicken tonkatsu ramen and I thought it would be chicken katsu but it's more like pepper chicken (unbreaded and it's in the soup). The soup itself is not at all tonkatsu. It's a light vegetable soup that is exceptionally salty to the point of almost being inedible and rendering all vegetables in the soup nearly inedibly salty as well. The noodles appear to be Chinese egg noodle rather than ramen noodles. Don't get this dish!
It's a pretty long wait each time but it's convenient to get food here after picking up groceries.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 5170409Dec 30, 2021
My friend and I shared the spicy rice cakes. We got spice level 3 - the spiciest (I was warned by the worker when ordering that it was spicy) but it was tolerable if anything I thought it tasted sweet. My friend thought the sweetness was a nice contrast to the spice.

Pretty disappointed with It's Boonsik. I guess it might be my fault for not knowing what to expect. It's my first time at this Korean food court in Hmart and the first thing I saw was a spicy miso ramen. Funny me thought it would be a Japanese type ramen, but it's a Korean miso ramen. It tasted like soybean stew (doenjang jjigae) but super watered down if that. And the spicy was not a flavorful spicy, it was just a jalepeño/Thai chili type of spicy which I was not really in the mood for at all. It wasn't a satisfying meal so I made it up with a Korean corn dog from next door. My boyfriend got the udon which seemed to taste Japanese and it was good. Overall I'd probably keep it safe with the spicy rice cakes or kimbap options if you decide to go here, unless you want a doenjang jjigae noodle soup.

I ordered the udon noodles and the service was very fast. I love this hmart location because of the food court at the front. I was excited to try this place because the korean food looked great in the photos. The udon was alright, nothing special. I wish the egg was more runny, like how they are usually supposed to be in soups. The broth was delicious and there were a lot of noodles. For $14, this was not worth it. The portion was a bit small and there are better authentic noodle places in Convoy. I want to try the spicy rice cakes and kimbap next time.

This little Korean Style Snack Bar and Sushi Roll place has the tastiest homemade California rice rolls ever! The chef (Michelle) made them on the spot and we could taste the care with fresh ingredients in each bite! Appreciate that there was very little waiting and prices were fair. "Lana" was at the cash register and most helpful as well.

I came here to order Hotteok because it was a great and warming memory from my time I spent in Korea. Usually Hotteok in Korea is served piping hot, pan fried and really crunchy but this possibly "frozen" variant was thick, soft and not crunchy at all. The worst part however was that the sign on the front said 5 for $10 but I ended up being served 4 pieces. This was really frustrating as I even confirmed the quantity with the cashier as she even stepped outside the stall to read their 5 for $10. She confirmed 5 for $10 and then I ordered. Long and behold I only received 4 pieces which I then went back up and told them "hey this is only 4 pieces" And the cashier got the manager and gave me a typical answer like it is supposed to be 4 and kind of made me realize it's my problem for ordering it. They never gave me the 5th piece or an answer like we are so sorry blah blah blah. I'll never go back again.
Edit: the cashier finally gave me the 5th piece as I'm writing this review. Still though that's bad customer service.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - B G.San Diego, CA04Dec 23, 2022
!!!!BEWARE!!!! HAIR IN FOOD AND FOOD POISONING!!!
My fiance and I ate here because it was the only thing open and we were super hungry and needed to do Christmas eve dinner shopping. We both ordered the shrimp with spicy mayo and rice. When we both got our orders, we opened them up and both gasped at the same time. BOTH of our orders had hair DEEP into the food. Mine was mixed into the spicy mayo and his was wrapped around one of the tempura shrimp.
I immediately showed the staff the issue and they did give us a refund and gave us free food. However upon getting the new food, my fiance realized that they simply recooked the same food and threw it back into the fryer, making it more brown in color. Before returning the food, he had messed with the shrimp tails so he would know whether they were the same. I was so hungry by this time, and I needed food due asap due to some medication I'm taking. I thoroughly inspected my food and began digging in until halfway through my fiance said to stop eating it because it was the same food. I was so upset and before throwing the food away, I decided to dig through the rice and found little hairs or fuzz hairs within it. That was at 12pm-ish. I have been at home now sick to my stomach with diarrhea. It was stupid of me to eat the food they had "remade" for us, and at the time I was too flustered to just tell them I didn't want their food. I learned my lesson but I will never eat here again, and my relatives that shop here at H-Mart will also be warned.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
