We are passing thru town in our way to Guadalupe Mountains National Park and we found this little nugget nestled in the small town of Junction, TX. The TV was playing a Western show while we ate. The waitress was very friendly and asked if it was our first time there. We explained we were just passing thru so it was our first time. She explained all their French fries are hand cut and the mashed potatoes are house made. The onion rings are also battered and made from scratch there. She told us a lot more but it's too much to remember. My husband had the chicken fried steak and the mashed potatoes. He said it tasted homemade. If we ever come back thru here, we would stop again!

We had breakfast and dinner at the place. Bothe times we had great servers and the staff were friendly. Their prices are reasonable and quality is great. The place is clean and has a rustic ambience.
The Junction Special is my number once choice for a classic breakfast. The pancakes were the best I have had- fluffy with a slight flavor of vanilla. The omelette, bacon and sausage were perfectly cooked. My family members also liked French Toast and Breakfast Tacos.

Great ambience for a quiet dinner!

Oh my gosh! We were just picking up breakfast when driving through and were blown away! I got the chicken fried steak and eggs for breakfast with their homemade biscuits and it was AMAZING. I Can not tell you how good it was. My wife got the junction special and loved it. The ultimate goodness for your belly she says. And our waitress Jenny was so sweet and added to the entire experience. If you are anywhere in the area stop by.

Meh. 2 stars only for atmosphere of small Texan cafe. Texas ham steak was pretty strange and with odd smell.
Grilled chicken was dry, and on top of that - baked potato was also dry. Only tea helped me to eat it.
