i scheduled an appointment for an oil change and sat there 5 hrs just for an oil change, totally unexceptable. The manager at that time told me that the next oil change would be on them, so when i returned for my complimentary oil change i was told that they wasnt gonna honor it. I was told that the most they could do was a 10% discount. And to be honest the service manager was a little rude and really unconcerned about the matter. In my opinion that was bad for business. I hope they dont treat all their customers like this.

The salesman couldn't put a license plate on my car!!! Rounded out/broke the holes where the screw clips go on a 2020 Hyundai Elantra. He told my wife he couldn't put it on and sent her on her way. See the attached picture!! If someone cannot put a license plate on, I'd be concerned about the service department! Zero care given.

Caution Monroe, LA car buyers- 12 weeks to repair an engine!
On July 19th, while traveling in Louisiana, the engine failed in my 2013 Hyundai Tucson. It had under 100K miles and one owner, I was confident this would be covered under the warranty and had it towed to Interstate Hyundai. It took them A WEEK, and me having to go in person, to find out the engine failed (something I told them day 1). They quoted me prices to repair. I had to tell them to contact Hyundai, as it should be covered. Fast forward 3 WEEKS, the dealership FINALLY got all the information Hyundai needed to determine this was covered and provide me a rental (I had to get Hyundai Motors involved). It then took another 9 WEEKS for them to complete the repair with little to no communication. I arranged with Hyundai Motors to be reunited with my car in Atlanta, where I live. After it was returned, I found body damage to the hood. Neither Hyundai or Interstate Hyundai will take responsibility for the damage. I worked around dealerships for a large part of my career and dealt with at least 100 dealerships. In my opinion, Interstate Hyundai has a poorly run service department. If you buy a Hyundai in the Monroe area and want it serviced, I fear you will have to drive other cities (Jackson, Shreveport, Alexandria) to get competent service from a Hyundai Certified dealer. I believed in the product and the warranty. I own 2 Hyundais but have never come close to a similar experience as this. Very poor service. I attempted to buy a car from them, had financing ready to go, I had to ask for the buyers order 4 times. Finally got it after multiple calls to the sales manager. They also attempted to overcharge me on sales tax. The sales tax in my parish is 9%. They tried to charge me 10.4%. Do not trust them! I'm 48 years old and this is the worst experience I have had. I had to walk away from the deal because of the way they treated me. Brian, the general manager was extremely rude and condescending to me. There are too many other dealers out there who are willing to negotiate with you. Do not buy here!!

Interstate Hyundai (aka Interstate Dodge) in West Monroe obtained my social security number under false pretenses and used it with several agencies. Beware of unscrupulous car dealerships that are looking to make a quick buck.
