What a wonderful stay we had!!! Albeit, you can tell that this hotel has been a local mainstay for some time, it still retains its charm despite the modern times.
I had foot surgery recently and my foot is in a cast and I use a knee scooter to get around. When checking into the hotel, the kind and considerate front desk noticed my disabled condition and was able to accommodate me by assigning an accessible room for our stay. I'm glad she did!!!
The room was clean, however, one of things about an accessible room with a walk-in shower is there is a drain in the floor. If the room hasn't been used in a while, vapors can escape from the drain, if you get my drift. Fortunately, being familiar with the characteristics of plumbing, there's an easy solution: poor water into the drain to put water into the trap. Worked like a charm!!! No problem after that!!!
Another interesting feature of an accessible room is the style of the door looks, specifically for the pocket door to the bathroom. This was the first time experiencing this type of door lock. I truly appreciated it, however, my wife had some difficulty with it and became frustrated when she was unable to unlock the door. Disabled hubby to the rescue!!!
Being disabled I found an opportunity for Hyatt to improve on. This showed how long ago this property was built. My thinking is that the property was grandfathered (?) into an exemption for ADA compliance. The front entrance doors were automatic. However, the side exit doors are not. If someone was in a wheelchair, very difficult to exit or enter. And the ramp seemed steep as well. Just an observation.
The room itself was very comfortable and clean. The morning breakfast was also great. Nice selection with the Japanese breakfast items. Can't go wrong with making a rice and eggs and sausage and shoyu like in Hawaii. The oatmeal was also delicious!!! The attendants were friendly, considerate and diligent in keeping the tables cleaned and ready for the next guest.
Overall, great hotel to my standards. A lot of restaurants located in walking distance (see picture). I've made another reservation to return in a couple of months. Hopefully, I will have my cast off!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 7, 20241 check-in
This hotel is definitely a little bit older than your typical Hyatt place.
Nevertheless, the hotel was pretty solid
The room might be a bit small, but they're still very functional and comfortable to stay in
I also had a good experience with the staff. They were very friendly and ready to assist
I hope that day soon implement installation of chargers for electric vehicles
Lastly, perhaps the one thing that I'm not super fond off regarding Hyatt place in Hyatt house is that the air conditioning units in the rooms are usually pretty loud
That's really the only thing I can think of that could require improvement and everything else is top-notch in my point of viewHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jennifer R.Los Angeles, CA217129173Apr 23, 2024
This Hyatt is bit old and seem sort of shady however the staff are very nice and caring . My dog and I almost got ran over at the cross walk and followed up on us to see if we were ok . For me it's those little things that adds up to be a big thing . I would definitely recommend this hotel . It's quiet and clean for a good night sleep ...also the free breakfast was pretty epic with bacon potatoes and fruits yummy ! Also there are many restaurants near by . One of my favorite is the lees sandwich around the corner. The hotel breakfast is pretty solid with all the breaks goodies . Enjoy !

Stayed there when we went to Disneyland and had a decent stay. Room and bed was clean no issues there. During check in front desk staff was very helpful. Breakfast included with stay. No waffle machine but serve preheated waffles and have steamed rice which was a good addition. Fire alarm went off at 2am which sucked because it definitely does its job and startles most people awake making it hard to go back to sleep. Except for my son who apparently was hibernating. We had to wake him up after he slept through it... Pictures on website look like what you are getting aside from the cabinets. Our room did not have the floor to ceiling display shelves which in reality didn't need. Aside from the fire-alarm good stay and would come back again.

The hotel is nice and clean with friendly staff. On our recent stay, they have now added a $7/night parking (used to be free prior to 2024). Seems odd that they don't provide coffee or tea in the lobby either. Those are only available during breakfast hours.

Stayed here for two days while on a visit to Disneyland. Arrived early and asked if we could check in early. There is a $50.00 charge to check in early we took it as we had been traveling since the crack of dawn and were tired. The front desk clerk Frida was very nice and helpful. The room was very nice two beds, couch bed and kitchen area. All was well until the fire alarms going off at 2:00 am and scares us out of our sleep. By the time we arrived at the stairs to head to the lobby we were told it was a kitchen fire and it was now under control and we could head back to our room. After all that drama we could not fall asleep for quite a while not good when you are attending Disneyland the next day. Needless to say we didn't get to Disneyland at 8 am as planned because we were tired. Breakfast was good usual fare eggs, sausage, waffles, potatoes, fruit, cereal, yogurt etc. The surprising thing that the had was rice and miso soup. Overall pretty good stay. Also when we checked out they held our luggage for us to pick up later. Only small gripe besides the broken sleep was upon checkout someone checking in was being offered cookies. I then asked if we could have some as we didn't receive any at checkin. The clerk reluctantly gave us 1 for four people. When I asked if we could at least have two so each of my kids could have one I was told they wouldn't have enough for their other customers if they gave us two. I am not sure if I would stay at this location again.

Hidden Gem indeed!!! We stood here for a good time while our house was being worked on. I was so hesitant due to hotels having bed bugs. This place was the best. I would highly recommend. Trust me, I did my homework and it paid off!!!!

Nice place. Good service. Wifey and I stayed here for one night. Not much around to see but the service was really good. We got in really early and was able to check my bags at the front a we waited for the appropriate check in time. The front desk was very nice and respectable about this.

I haven't stayed at a Hyatt House property before and wasn't impressed with this one. The interior is a bit depressing with the gray walls, dark hallways, and tinted windows. We stayed in a queen suite room and upon arriving, the room had a strange, musky smell, furniture wear and tear, and it wasn't as clean as expected. I think because the windows are tinted, it's harder for housekeeping to see if things are clean? Within minutes, we found a spider in the bathroom. Housekeeping doesn't clean everyday and you had to call to request a cleaning. I called to request a cleaning the next day. We left for most of the day and returned to the room still the way it was. Housekeeping didn't come by until the day after the requested cleaning date, exactly when we had to put our baby down for a nap in the room. Free breakfast was available and there was an array of different foods including miso soup which I haven't seen before. Front desk receptionists were friendly for check-in and check out. Overall, the hotel needs an upgrade and staff with better attention to detail!
