Gotta agree with Noah on this one, though the salesperson I interacted with wasn't nearly as bad as indicated in his post. But he (the salesperson) did surely irk my friend Cat when he tried to press his views on her. She was very specific about what she (read I) was looking for and instead of listening...he tried to tell us what was what.

I was looking for a "marry and bury" suit. One. I wanted it in charcoal gray or black. Cat accompanied me because I know nothing of fashion. She wanted to keep the suit as "classic" as possible and avoid the "in-style" stuff as that always comes and goes. She told me to avoid the stitching on the collar (?) or flap, and the super skinny pants that are currently all the rage (I guess). The salesman tried to direct us to suits that just didn't fall into my wish list.

Anyhoo, salespeople here really need to learn to listen to their customers. I went to Bloomingdales and thanks to Martin (who really knows what he's doing) and Shamsi (?), I came away with a great suit.

Received a gift and returned it to the store. They only offered a store credit - since I do not and have not shopped at this store I asked if I could speak to the store manager - Wayne Nguyen came out and offered no real solution other than to "find something" I might like - no other attempt to solve the issue. So I am stuck with a store credit I will never use. And as a COVID foot note the employees took the gift which was men's jewelry and put it right back into the case without making any attempt to sanitize it. Be careful if you shop in this store for that reason alone. This clearly shows why I'd never shop this tacky and outdated brand.

Hits and misses. My fiance finally decided to go suit shopping for our wedding but also wanted a suit that had character, didn't look like something in his closet but wasn't too trendy either. It also had to be lightweight for a summer wedding. He had tried a Hugo Boss suit in SF a few months back and was dead-set on checking out the store itself for this big event. We walked in and no one had really paid attention to us for a few minutes. If someone walks in a store, they have the intention of possibly buying something and not just take advantage of the two armchairs in the store. I know plenty of people who don't "dress" the part but could probably afford a whole wardrobe if they wanted and then some.

We walked all the way back to the store where the suit section was. Their selection did not have as much variety as I would've expected. A guy who possibly was the manager asked if we were helped and luckily he talked to us for a bit. He wanted to know what was the vision of the wedding and showed the fiance a few options but didn't really hit the nail. He also told us about a few tailors he knew in the area even if we found a suit somewhere else and started name dropping. At least he encouraged us to look around to compare. My fiance wasn't very impressed overall and left empty-handed.

i came here to purchase a gift for my boyfriend for his birthday.

I love Hugo Boss, think it's a great brand, and opted to come to an actual store rather than buy from Bloomy's or Nordstrom.

Big mistake. Horrible service. They don't keep an organized inventory so anything I wanted was not in a box or they didn't "know" if they had one in the back.

Such a shame -- I love the merchandise here and it's one of my favorite designers to give gifts for.

I just wish the employees would stop acting like they make more than $10 an hour.

They had a sale and as I was searching the pile, the salesperson was kind enough to tell me I was looking in the wrong pile. I was wondering why everything was X-Large. Go figure they started to do the "BR-thing" where they place sales items according to size.

Unfortunately I came empty-handed but I know I'll be back for the next sale. Three stars only because the salesperson kept staring at me. Can't a guy wear ragged jeans and a torn sweatshirt to SCP anymore.

      Great store!
It was a surprisingly pleasing experience and not what I expected at all. I had just left John Varvatos across the way empty handed and disturbed by the rude and condescending employees.
The staff at Hugo Boss was helpful and followed proper etiquette guidelines without being pushy. I walked in wearing a thermal and old pair of 7 jeans with flip flops.
They treated me with respect and assisted me in finding exactly what I was looking for. I then handed them my credit card without hearing the total. I wasn't at all shocked that the total was over $600 for three items. I felt it was a worthy investment considering the quality of the goods and the service I received.

I've been shopping at So. Coast Hb for many years. I am a person who likes to buy from the same person everytime I go. Louis is my man. He has a great sense of style and always knows what I am into. After buying from him for so long Louis just learned what I like and what I am not going to purchase. Louis is also very good with calling and texting me pictures of items that he would like to for me to try on.

I really appreciate a man who knows my sense of style. Attention to detail is what I call Louis. HB is lucky to have him. Pay Louis a visit.

I have been wearing Hugo Boss for a while now. I have one suit but most of my sportswear wardrobe are from Hugo Boss. I like their designs since they are unlike any other label. While European, they are not Italian and they have a certain German simplicity to their designs. Their fabrics are always high quality but not as delicate as Italian ones so they are easier to take care of.

6-3-16 I go into the hugo store (not the original hugo boss store) at 12noon to try on a jacket in small that i had peter order for me since i had bought a medium jacket last sunday but wanted to try on a small just to be sure which size i wanted to keep. After trying both on I decide to keep the medium but tell peter that there is stitching coming off on the neck collar which i told him i found it shortly after i bought the jacket last sunday. He shows david their tailor who says he cant fix it. I then ask if i can exchange the medium for another medium which they would have to order since they didn't have any other jackets at the store, and peter plays dumb asking if im goin to buy another jacket since he said they can't exchange damaged items. This was a week from when i first bought the jacket in which i just kept in the bag and never worn, I wanted to exchange the damaged one, peter said their exchange policy doesnt take back damaged goods. I tell him i bought it that way and i showed joyce and george from the hugo boss store that same day with the damage to the collar, i had witnesses to the damage the day of sale. Peter denied damage to the collar on the day i bought the jacket and insinuatingly accused me of damaging the item. I had to raise my voice and told him not to call me a liar and that i hav two witnesses from that same day joyce and george from the other hugo boss store in costa mesa that i showed them the damage to the collar. When talking to peter today the i felt like i was at court having to be the criminal defense, that is not how a customer of this caliber of a store should be treated. Peter later says to talk to louis the mgr and that he'll b in at 130pm but peter is not entirely sure if louis will come in at that time. After seeing peter i go to the hugo boss store to see roberto for a 2nd opinion about the collar, roberto fixes the collar but cant guarantee it wont unravel later on, but we both agree it looks good and will b good for some time since i wont b washing it much, i decide to keep the medium i had instead of going through the hassle of ordering another one through peter. I hav never been so accused and offended just to make a sale when dealing with peter. I hav spent $4k (3 red label suits, 2 pairs of slacks, 1 suit jacket separate, 1 sport jacket) in the past few years at the main hugo boss store and i expected to be treated respectfully and with great customer service at the hugo store. But peter is not only disrespectful, but also not good with customer service and seems to mainly want the sale with customer service being more of a chore, preferring to make up excuses rather than helping me get the right item when in the first place the item was damaged to begin with. Yes peter did order and ship the small size so i could try it on, and yes peter at times is cordial, but dealing with him felt like a struggle to get things done right. My first meeting with peter when i bought the jacket, i also saw another flaw on the sleeve where the stamped leather was, it was a very small tear and i said i wanted another one which they would have to order since it wasn't at the store, but they kept insisting that it was just minor and hesitantly ordered another one. I beg to differ, if i am paying $500 for a jacket i expect no flaws and expect the salesman to comply with my request to exchange for another one, after all i was the only one in the store at that time who actually bought something, while the other shoppers pretend to have the money to buy anything at the store. In the end i decided to just keep the medium i had with the flaw instead of exchanging it bcuz peter was giving me a hard time about it, i didnt want to deal with him anymore. Out of all the hugo boss salesman and mgrs i have worked with over the years including mike tehrani who is no longer the mgr with hugo boss costa mesa, joyce and george who are currently at the other hugo boss store, all of them have been excellent salesman and very helpful and knowledgeable. But for peter and louis, i did not feel as welcome, but instead was given excuses and runarounds just to make the sale go quicker. The same day i bought the jacket last sunday at hugo i also later bought a $900 red label suit with george at hugo boss. I am a long time customer, and i can guarantee i will no longer be shopping at the hugo store in costa mesa, and will only be a customer at the hugo boss store currently managed by joyce, because the hugo boss store personnel know how to treat their customers with respect and courtesy and dont make any excuses or accusations like the personnel at hugo. Joyce and george as well as roberto the tailor at the hugo boss store all know me and will be glad to vouch for my sincerity and as a long time repeat customer at hugo boss south coast plaza. Thank you for your time.
