House of Nutrition

I have been going to the house of Nutrition for sometime and they have a nice selection of organic and healthful foods. I can purchase vegan cheese the that is hard to find elsewhere. I recently bought the homemade vegan mushroom soup and our was great. They have organic flax seed along with everything you would need. A nice place to shop.

When you look up the times of operation it says they are open Sunday from 11am to 5pm. That is incorrect they are not open on Sundays.

There aren't many health food stores in our area so it's nice to find a good one. Granted, the prices are a little steep but they do sell quality products. I found the staff very helpful. I had a few questions about some vitamins I needed and the lady that helped me was very informed. I loved that they had some spices that are hard to find in other stores. They also have some freshly made foods available as well as hot soup.

Very good service as they acknowledge you when you enter the business.Very clean and neat and organized.

If you thrive to live a healthy lifestyle, you will love venturing into this little alternative grocer. They have a variety of options from homemade foods to baking ingredients to household products to supplements. I love coming in here once in a while to check out their fresh food selection. Most of it is vegan while a few things are Omni and Veg. The banana chocolate chip bread, pagach, and brownies are definitely 2 thumbs up for me. It's expensive to shop here, but that's the economy for you. You have to fork over some extra pocket money to eat more balanced. I don't know how knowledgeable the staff is because I usually just venture off on my own, and I'm already familiar with a lot of the product information from doing research on nutrition. The staff is typically friendly though and they are happy to help anyone with questions or concerns.

EDIT: I have read prior reviews and noticed people concerned with customer service. I understand the scowls and uppity air a;sect. I've seen that too. I've also been greeted often though because I'm a returning customer. I've even had small talk at the register sometimes. It's not the best customer service, but I won't let that hurt the review of the overall quality of the shop.

I highly recommend this establishment. They have many different health type products such as vitamins, herbal remedies and other natural type remedies. They also have lots of gluten free foods. I went there today for the first time. They are also very helpful and will explain whatever you're interested in.

I only stop at HON if I have to because it's a quick stop on my way home from work. I know it's good to support local businesses and I do for the most part. But when it comes to this place I would much rather go to Wegman's. The prices are lower and the staff much nicer. The staff at HON act as if you're a bother because you need to check out. They're never friendly and seem as though they hate life. I've never seen one employee at HON ever crack a smile. What a depressing place.
I just got off of a phone call with my mom and she just mentioned the same exact stuff to me! She was telling me how miserable these employees act when you're shopping. It's so frustrating to shop in such a depressing atmosphere.

I visited this store today and found very helpful associates. Prices are a little high. They have the hard to find herbs that in itself is amazing, now I don't have to order what I was looking for online and have to wait for it to be shipped. I will definitely come back and shop here.

This store is awesome. Pricey, but great selection. They sell fresh almond and peanut butter (and they give free samples!), and I highly recommend their baked goods. The vegan cupcake and vegan toffee oat bar were both ridiculously delicious. They had pizza, soup, salad etc. available as well.

Also, I disagree with the previous review about poor customer service. Both ladies were super helpful and courteous--I even overheard them deal with a rude customer, and they were still kind. And they know their products well.

I will most definitely be shopping here again!
