We're a fun little Italian restaurant serving delicious home made dishes and interesting wines (and beers). Happy hour from 3-530pm. We are great for groups and birthdays!

Q:
Do you have heaters in the back outside patio?
A:
We have 4 heaters. We cannot add more due to walkway space. While we have heaters, we do encourage all guests to still bring a jacket to be on the safe side. See you soon!

I love coming here not just for the food but also for the vibes! The decor can be a little cheugy but I think that's what makes it cute. My favorite is the meatball sandwich because the bread is so crunchy on the outside but really chewy on the inside. But I think the best part about this place is their servers! Lexi was honestly one of the sweetest and funniest people I've ever met. Her recommendations are on point!!

To be honest, I've always thought the name was a bit silly and didn't think there would be much there for me to eat a pescatarian, but I'm glad I gave it a try. They were super welcoming and seated us right away on a Saturday night around 7pm (though it got busier later on!). I thought the ambiance was cute and casual, though I could also see this place being more of a "romantic date night" spot for students too.
Food-wise, I got the eggplant pappardelle creamy tomato (#3 on the favorite meatball and pasta combos) and really enjoyed it. It was indeed quite creamy and the eggplant "meatballs" were quite tasty. My boyfriend got the meatball sub and enjoyed his as well.
Don't sleep on this place if you're nearby, even if you are a pescatarian/vegetarian!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 18, 2024
Great choice for hearty, not heavy food in a relaxed and even romantic room.
Feels like you could come here with family, friends, associates, or a date.
We tried an app and a couple pastas and felt well taken care of and satisfied.
The Fritto Misto or Calamari is a classic, of course. Happily it's prepared to order and delicious. 'Lightly battered and served with marinara' is accurate - and we really enjoyed the marinara, too. It's a good portion, perfect to share.
I was very interested in trying their namesake, the Meatballs. Tried the three different meatballs: The beef, the pork, and the eggplant. The eggplant was enjoyable, akin to a falafel in texture. Moist in the middle. The pork was also good, not overpowering by any means. The beef, to me, lacked flavor. I think a combo of the beef and pork would be great. Or, if the beef simply had more seasoning, it would be a winner, too. The texture was good, just moist enough. Just not enough of a flavor.
I doubled-down with my flavor exploration as the sauce I chose happened to be the Arrabiata.
My companion ordered the chicken Alfredo, and loved it. I tasted it, too, and liked it. Super creamy, of course. The chicken was tender, the tagliatelle perfectly cooked.
Loved our server. She was helpful and we appreciated her initiative and followthrough.
Looking forward to a return visit to try some other things --- maybe Happy Hour, maybe Dessert.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - DrOlga L.Los Angeles, CA2344738Mar 8, 2024
The food is loaded and drowning in tomato sauce.
Staff and owner were not nice whatsoever.
They spray with Chlorine the table, and the floor smells like it too.
Food not good either.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Dr Olga,
I think you might have reviewed a different restaurant as we do not spray chlorine on our tables or floors and use a scentless sanitizer instead. Our owners are present but do not often interact with guests.
In the event that we are the correct restaurant, I am sorry about your dining experience. We pride ourselves in our service, and would love to remake the dishes to your liking.
Thank you and I hope you have a good day.

The server was very sweet the interior is decorated nicely. It looks good for parties and birthdays if someone were to rent out the whole place. The drinks were delicious and the food came out quickly. It is a small restaurant so for my friends birthday we did a reservation. The menu is a bit misleading I ordered the sliders but thought all of the ingredients were on all of them not different meats in each. Other than that I would come again especially knowing a new restaurant in Westwood.

Really liked the atmosphere and service. It's a cute dainty little place with a lot of character! It felt really homey which is definitely appreciated.
The hostess and waiter was very attentive to our table - always refilling water and asking if we needed anything else.
Now for the FOOD. Man, the cheesy garlic bread was great but honestly the pasta was average...the sauce was alright, the meatballs were great - big fan. But the pasta was so meh....it wasn't really cooked all the way through so it was a little uncomfortable to chew through. Definitely not al Dente.
Would I come back? Prob not.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 383591474Dec 21, 2023
This 4 star review is solely based on the Butternut Ravioli w/ white sauce and amaretto crumble. It was a super simple dish but HOLY COW this was SO incredibly good. The cream sauce was rich and was just enough, I love that they didn't drown the raviolis. It was a perfect portion. The magic was in the amaretto crumble. It heightened the dish to perfection.
Other items that are worth mentioning:
A trio meatball appetizer. You get three approximately 2.5" diameter sized morsels that you can choose a mix and match combination of beef, pork or chicken.
We also ordered a whole appetizer of the eggplant meatballs. These were an amazing surprise of flavor and eggplant-y texture. In particular for me, I was thoroughly enamored with the crispy toastiness of the breadcrumb and caramelization of the eggplant.
Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo made with paradise and a TON of mushrooms. Everyone enjoyed it but me. And only because I am so NOT a mushroom fan and boy, there were a slew of them.
Chicken Parmesan on a bed of spaghetti. Standard breaded chicken with mozz a d red sauce.
For dessert we ended with tiramisu and cannolis to share. Nothing spectacular nor bad to write about them. It was good, decent dessert.
Parking in Westwood can be bad and good. Weekends seem easier than weekdays as we all found metered street parking within a few walking minutes.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 22015889Feb 7, 2024
As a long-time meatball enthusiast, I can confirm the delight that is House of Meatballs. The calamari, Cesar salad, and bread were well executed appetizers. We were absolutely delighted at the ravioli and eggplant meatballs, which had a surprising crisp exterior. I devoured the spaghetti bolognese with Turkey and pork meatballs. The meatballs are perfectly succulent and well balanced with herbs/garlic. My only regret was not ordering something to take home.

Absolutely nothing to write home about. High priced, and not so tasty ariaba sauce with chicken meatball which was recommended by server. Which I would have tried a different one. Or that they had an option for one of each (smaller). And I support businesses utilizing food delivery services, but there was a driver waiting talking on speaker phone ever so loud. It was clearly disruptive, but it was the environment we had to eat in. Service time is slow.
Recommend? At your own risk. Very neutral. But try something other than chicken.
Return? Unlikely with so many other choices around.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Linda S.Los Angeles, CA2083610Apr 8, 2024
Five stars! This will now and forever be the place I dine before attending the theater at Yhe Geffen Playhouse nearby. As a vegetarian, I was thrilled that they had two options for me of meatballs- both delicious- eggplant and tofu balls! I had it both options over a gnocchi arribiatta with spinach and mushrooms. So good! And all of the servers were helpful and friendly, and the ambiance was fun and welcoming.
