      Is this place dog friendly?

      A:

Considering you have to walk through the restaurant to get to the outdoor seating, I would assume no. The Eugene location is dog friendly.

My husband ate here several times when he was sent to Eugene for work and thoroughly enjoyed it. He liked their tots (lol) and liked all the beers he did try.

I went by Hop Valley last night since I'm traveling for work and was staying in the nearby Courtyard Marriott.
I was so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here! My Chicken Cobb Salad was huge and just what I was craving. My server was lovely and she was super on it the entire time I was there.
It is slight dark in there, to be expected by a place that specializes in draft beer, but the ambiance was lively with locals. I would definitely return!

We found this place completely by accident during our first week in Eugene. It was pouring out with poor visibility and we were driving a terrible rental car, jet lagged and TIRED. We wanted something easy and reasonably good that we could just pick up and bring home. We saw their sign across the parking lot from Best Buy, checked them out on Yelp, as ya do, and called in an order. Our food was ready in 15 minutes -- delicious shepherd's pie and local IPA.

I feel like we really lucked out, and we'll definitely be back!

One of the best burgers and fries I've had!

Our bartender Joel was absolutely awesome. Steered us right and let us taste some beers before picking the right ones.

This place is top notch. We'll be back!

Great food. Hamburger was delicious and well made. The French Dip was good, it just needed more horseradish, other than that, it tasted fine. The fries were hot and the tots were great, too. Service was OK, but not terrific. Will eat here again.

We stopped in for dinner and a drink after seeing Indiana Jones! The parking lot was FULL but don't let that fool you. There were lots of tables available inside.

The waitress was great! She was helpful and enjoyable. Had a great attitude.

The Burger Without A Name was unique and delicious. The cream cheese and jalapeño really made it.

The french dip was good but almost had too much cheese melted on it. Otherwise the flavor was great and the sauce was perfect. The onion rings were mostly good too but had too much batter.

Didn't get a picture of the meatloaf special but it was just as good as everything else. Came with garlic mashed potatoes and corn. All very good.

      Highly recommend stopping in.

Well, I kinda defaulted into this place, staying in a near by hotel, didn't want to drive. But, for a captive customer base, they do a really good job. Outside seating as you arrive, and the exterior is clean and inviting. As you go thru the door, or at least I was, you are greeted by a personable host/bartender/server, mine was Zach. Attentive but not obtrusive, and this was nice, didn't drop the act after leaving the table. Didn't stand over at the bar dropping f-bombs with the other staff, or other conversational faux pas either. Why is that important? Cause sometimes your ambiance is in the audio presentation as well. Good music on the speakers, pleasant background vocals, means you can sit and enjoy your meal. Had the Caesar Salmon salad, good flavor, not so soaked in Caesar dressing that you couldn't taste the food, thanks, lettuce was cut properly, not to big to get in your mouth, thanks, good flavor on the salmon, not so overly seasoned that you couldn't identify it. In short, one of the better salads I have had. Got a to go order of the poutine, tried it, it isn't Tim Hortons, but it's a solid and tasteful representation of the genre, good flavors and texture. Had a Arnold Palmer, good flavor. As a pub/brewhouse/burger place they have definitely sought out a niche, and the locals coming in seem to indicate they've found it. All the right smells, flavors and visuals, cleanliness appears to be a priority, staffing seems to be above average. Good place for a night out, sports on the big screen, limited menu but they look competent in what they do offer. Pricing seems to be middle of the road. Short version, go have a meal, they are an exceptional version of the type.

In Springfield for the weekend and loved the service, beer, and food so much that we came here twice. It was a busy weekend (soccer tournament) and they ran out of some of their menu items both nights. But what they did have was terrific. I got the mushroom stroganoff with steak added on the first night, and the buttermilk biscuit on the side was amazing. They use the same bread for their French dip. If you have the option to select a potato side, go for the tots. And while their regular taps are solid, I really enjoyed the experimentals. Will definitely stop by again if we're in town.

Stayed across the street and was pleasantly surprised with Hop Valley. The beer was fantastic. I enjoyed the Hazy IPA and a lighter beer that was great also. The tuna salad was great also. The bar tender was very friendly. I was visiting on a work trip so I was alone and we chatted which was appreciated.
On a fun note, I looked around and realized I was the only customer that didn't have a beard!
