Homeward Tattoo and Body Piercing

Can't recommend this place enough. I only had one other tattoo done 25 years ago so not working with much experience in this realm. Knew exactly what I wanted, sketched it out, sent it to them and had really efficient communication with staff prior to coming in. I Got introduced to Bilge (pronounced bil-GAH I think?), young artist from Turkey, who had my sketch already brought up on her phone and got to work with me to get my sketch cleaned up and to offer some options.
Bilge was so patient with me while I was particular about the design as it had many meaningful elements that needed to be precise. She did not let me down (see photos)

Ben was very helpful and even recommended us to seeing his Instagram to look at some of his work and we were definitely impressed. Since our tattoos were fairly small (1-2 inches) it didn't take long to get them done.

We will definitely come here again next time we visit Delaware.

I have 20 tattoos total - 11 of them came out of Homeward Tattoo over the course of the last 10 years. Every single experience I have had with this shop, has made it easier and easier for me to not only come back, but boast about and highly recommend to the people I care about and others who genuinely inquire about where I get my work done. The shop has won Best Of Delaware for a reason. The owners/operators is this establishment are 100% in every move they make when it comes to this business. The shop is aesthetically pleasing and comfortable, most importantly clean. The art that flows from Ed Bells hands is a force to be reckoned with. You will find many talented artists in the area, but none of them top Ed Bell, and you can't change my mind. Clean crisp lines, vivid color and stories clearly told though each piece. What I really like about getting work done by Ed, is that he's not super heavy handed - some areas of the body can be more painful for others - it varies person to person, but I've never had a level of discomfort that I couldn't tolerate. Ed is extremely caring about anyone that walks through his shop door for work - and you feel it immediately.
Ive also had several piercings done by Jessica, and she's just as wonderful in her own respective trade. Precision and attention to detail is just as important, and Jessica makes me feel at ease when she's poking new holes ! I absolutely love this shop, and it's my number 1 in Slower Lower.
Please do yourself a favor, and let Homeward create a lasting, diamond molded memory for you. You won't regret it. I'd give 10 stars if I could, in a heartbeat or less.

Walked into Homeward Tattoo today needing to get my ears re-pierced and walked out very happy! Jessica took care of me. She was quick and it was so painless. I actually asked if she'd warn me before she poked me... and she was done. Haha! Needless to say it was a great experience and we'll be back.

I contacted Ben for my sister, mom and I to get tattoos. He was prompt in returning my appointment request. He did a great job, as usual, on our tattoos. I also got another tattoo while I was there which I love! I now have three tattoos by Ben and would definitely keep coming to him for all future tattoos if I weren't moving to the West Coast! Thank you Ben and Homeward Tattoos! You guys are awesome! Oh, on a COVID note, everything in the shop was clean, everyone had masks on and there was an appropriate number of people in the shop. If you're looking for a great tattoo with a super friendly, talented guy, look up Ben at Homeward!

They captured my idea perfectly and the tattoo came out so professional and clean. Not to mention how friendly the staff is. Overall 100/10 cannot recommend this place enough, will be coming back for more tattoos here!

Ben Leadlove is a very talented artist. His fine line work is so detailed and I couldn't be happier with the result; he squeezed me in within 2 hours of calling the shop. I really loved the pops of white he added for detail. Highly recommend Ben! $150 without tip.
