Due to proximity to my office and the earlier reviews on Yelp I chosen this place for my sciatica nerve problem.
Negative side:
The problem was never fixed even after 30 chiro visits for 3 months. I recently moved on to a different chiro had 3 fixings so far and already feeling better.
The reception is bad and the services are O.K. Front desk Lady Alison is so rude or very harsh most of the times with the way of her communication. They charged me Out of pocket in spite my insurance covers for acupuncture.
Their appointment reminder service is one of the poorest I have ever seen. The reminder alerts do not work all the time. They do not take the responsibility of this and charge you for no show.
After 3 months of interaction I realized this place is more of commercial rather than problem solving.
Best Part:
Acupuncturist - Went about 6- 8 accupuncture visits. Kirbi is one of the best. She is most helpful and understands the pain points. Some times she did massage understanding my acute leg pain. Also suggested good natural medications by listening to your problems.
Chiro - Dr. Brown is no doubt a great practitioner and individual but some reason the chiro fixings did not work in just my case alone. He listens to your problems and trains you with best ways of healthy living if you are a desk jockey to avoid such issues in future.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Customer service is really important to us and sometimes feedback like yours shines a light on a policy that had good intentions but when implemented falls short of delivering on the 5-star customer service we strive to deliver. With your feedback we are changing our acupuncture and massage cancellation policy and moving forward if our appointment reminders fail, we will not charge a missed appointment fee. We hope this change makes it so future patients do not have this same frustration.

It all started when I couldn't move my neck. I suffered in relative silence for a few weeks and then realized that I had insurance that paid for things like Chiropractic care. Hillclimb was the first place I found on the internet that had decent reviews and was about 3 blocks from my downtown office so I gave them a whirl.
I think Chiropractors get a bad rap in general for just cracking bones in your body because "they're the professional." While that may be true, context is everything. Dr. Flood did an amazing job of explaining the holistic science behind the spine and how it impacts all of my neck, back, and hip ailments. It was very illuminating and made me think differently about my spinal health.
Then the adjustment. It was magic. I was moving my neck and relative joints in no time.
Here's the other thing, I'm horrible with time management and my job makes it even worse. I had to reschedule an appointment so many times and they have been so accommodating to my schedule. The front desk folk are just as magical as the Doctors there. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lauren B.Bothell, WA010216Mar 12, 2017
This is a great clinic. I can't comment on the chiropractic side of things since I've only come here for massage therapy, but my experience has been fantastic nonetheless. The clinic is clean, modern, and in a convenient location downtown. They also bill insurance for massage therapy, which is a rarity these days. The front desk gals always greet me by name (another rarity) and are genuinely friendly and helpful.
Matthew is an amazing massage therapist. I'm super bummed that he isn't in network with my new insurance. Alas :(
Would definitely recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Matthew S.Kent, WA10236Jan 27, 2019
Been one of the best choices I have made. Dr. Flood is a great chiropractor. I had weekly headaches/migraines and she was able to solve the problem with exercises and a few months of adjustments. I now don't have migraines and my headaches are few and far between.

I have a chiropractic office near my house that I frequent. I made an appointment at Hillclimb because of its proximity to my office and it is easier to schedule an adjustment or massage at odd hours during the work day than to get off work early to try to rush to the office near my home.
When I met with Dr. Brown, I told him I am familiar with manual manipulation, that I understand the value of adjustments and explained I needed a place near my office. He still encouraged me to undergo assessments and imaging that resulted in a hefty "evaluation" that cost almost $350 even with my insurance. He then gave me the customary recommendation that we should come up with an aggressive treatment plan/schedule that decreases in frequency over time.
I'm frustrated because I communicated at the outset I wanted one-off adjustments and I certainly did not need x-rays, heat sensors, etc. to tell me I could benefit from adjustments. To be fair, there is no pressure to choose the plan and everyone is exceedingly friendly, but they were not up front about the cost and even when I asked about the cost of an adjustment or massage, they give me an estimate range. I was clear about what I was looking for and they bi-passed it in favor of the expensive evaluation. Oh - I also said in the initial consultation that I was interested in acupuncture and was told we could explore that later (presumably so they could charge me an additional evaluation fee separately which is required for acupuncture).
I like Dr. Brown, but do not appreciate that cost is not communicated up front. I do not appreciate that my specific requests were ignored in favor of the expensive evaluation(s). Even once I'm in their system, they charge me an arbitrary number ($62) and then tell me they'll bill me the difference once they figure out what it actually costs, but it probably won't be more than $15-$20 more.
**An update.**
Since I first posted my review, Dr. Brown addressed my concerns immediately and professionally. He, in my mind, has gone above and beyond to ensure I have as much information as possible since my post and has sought to restore good faith. I appreciate his efforts and have returned to his practice several times in the interim. I want to again highlight that he and his staff are all exceptionally pleasant and warm and I do appreciate the individual care he has shown in my situation.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I'm sorry that our approach to new patient care fell short of your expectations. We strive to communicate effectively, openly and honestly with our patients about fees and costs and I'm sorry this was not your experience with us. With your feedback we will review where we can make improvements so that we may better meet any future new patients' expectations. In health, Dr. Matt Brown-Ruegg

Great service, people and location!
I recently moved to Seattle and was looking for a chiropractor and massage therapist. Having moved away from my chiro and massage therapist who had both been treating me for about 9 years, I was extremely picky!! I did a lot of research, had my previous chiro review all clinics I was looking into and Hillclimb was ultimately the best choice (there's even a chiro in my office building, but Hillclimb seemed better even if I had to go a little further)!
Dr. Brown and his staff have not disappointed. My back/body feel great, as my treatments and maintenance adjustments have allowed my bones to breathe again! haha! I see Lindsey for massages and I always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed!
They take the time to get to know their patients and are extremely professional!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sara B.Everett, WA033Sep 17, 2017
I found Dr. Flood at a previous clinic she worked for and had to follow her to Hillclimb once she started working there. She always wants to know what's hurting on your body before you leave so she makes sure she has gotten everything taken care of. She has enthusiasm about what she does and has always been good to me and my body. She leaves me breathless (literally). Also she genuinely cares about her clients and their health. She's relieved tendinitis in my feet and released a lot of pain in my shoulders. I will follow her as long as she doesn't leave the country.

I came into the clinic with a very painful foot and some chronic back, shoulder, and neck issues. Dr. Brown was not afraid to take on treating my foot! He is very thorough, adjusting everything that is needed, but still quick! It's easy and convenient for me to get appointments before or after work. Three months later, and my foot is feeling so much better! And the rest of me too!

I cannot recommend this place enough! I was very nervous to see a chiropractor after all the horror stories I'd heard about it, but Dr. Flood made my experience feel safe and comfortable. She always explains what she's going to do first, if there's going to be a loud pop, or if it might hurt a bit. For people who feel more comfortable with female practitioners this is the place for you. I appreciate her transparency and positive energy! Being greeted by name by the receptionists each time makes the experience even better! If you're curious about how a chiropractor can help you, definitely give Hillclimb a call! Thank you so much Hillclimb team!

After recently moving to Seattle, I realized it had been a couple of months since I had an adjustment. I initially chose Hillclimb Chiropractic because they are located across the street from my office and because they offer chiropractic, massage and acupuncture. I really like the idea of a more holistic approach, rather that going to different offices for these services.
As someone who has been getting chiropractic treatments for about 7 years, I've been very happy with the experience at this clinic. So far, I've had weekly adjustments for my longtime misalignment issues and have been to one massage/acupuncture session.
I appreciate that the office is open during the lunch hour. It makes it very convenient to take take care of my health without interrupting my work day.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
