We are very happy with our Hiline home. The framing/construction done by Goslin construction was top notch. The Goslin crew of guys were friendly, hardworking, accommodating and always arrived at their promised time. My husband and brother in law who's owned a construction company we're on site nearly everyday, and both we're impressed by the caliber of work provided by Goslin. The electrician Thor and his assistant were fast and efficient as were the other contractors. I would have given a 5 review if we hadn't had so many difficulties with our Hiline sales person and to a lesser degree the final project managers lack of follow through. (An important heads up to whom ever is reading this review and considering using Hiline) Double check and review your final work order/contract before signing!!! Changes and additions we had clearly asked for and we discussed with our sales person appeared in the house prints but were not included in the final binding contract and change orders are very costly once the paperwork has been signed. We understand that we were remiss and take responsibility for our oversight but feel we were lead to believe the house plans were accurate. During the final finish work stage many delays were attributed to COVID-19 causing back orders, which to some degree I'm sure is true. Yet when we continued to question why something was taking weeks to be done, the material was miraculously found in the on site work trailer. A replacement front door that had been ordered in early July and was to be installed sometime in August was finally delivered in mid November. We began moving in to the house the end of September and needed the final Certificate Of Occupancy for our bank. After repeatedly asking we received the COO in December. What an unnecessary headache!

We were told that we would have paperwork for permits in about 4 weeks after paying $3,500 processing fee. Well, it's been over 65 days! When we call to see what the holdup is, we are told the paperwork is in "engineering". What does that mean? We have a flat lot that's been approved by their man. We are not making any changes to the house plans.
Our utility meters are in. We are ready to go, but HiLine engineers must not have any extra blueprints.

Darlene, we appreciate you reaching out with your concern regarding your plans. Our system notes that the plans were sent out on 10/4. Have you received them? Efficiently providing plans to our valued homeowners is very important to us. Currently, our in-house design & engineering team can turn around plans in an average of 6 weeks. This timeline is stellar for the home building industry. In your case, plans were sent to Engineering on 8/31, and plans were completed on 9/29 with a final stamp and sent to your office on 10/2. Our Pre-Construction Department developed your new homeowner packet within a couple of days. Our goal is to start your project on a positive note, so our Regional Manager would like to connect with you to review your building project. Please feel free to reach out to us at CustomerCare@HiLineHomes.com.

Had great project managers. Love the quality of the work They allowed us to make changes to the design so that it would fit our needs. Even with COVID limiting some supply they were able to meet most of the timelines so we could move in on time.

So far so good in the beginning stages of planning. They have done quite well with responding to all my questions and are, what seems, to be bending over backward for how we need to have this finance. I am pregnant and will be on maternity leave for two months with no income, and can't have this finance until I am nearly finished with my leave. They've seemed to have gotten it set up to where I think this is going to work. They are also trying to lock in their lower price before they raise prices the first of August. The reason for 4 stars is the nondisclosure of their processing fee which was sprung on me last minute. While I don't mind paying it, I do mind not having it disclosed to me in the very beginning. All in all at this stage i the game, I am very pleased with how things are progressing. I will continue to update as the process goes on!

We visited HiLine Homes for an appointment in April of 2016. After arriving at the Roseburg office for our appointment we found a walk in customer asking questions for a potential build. After ten minutes passed the rep acknowledged our presence, confirmed our appointment time and proceeded to answer even more questions for the walk in customer. Our appointment began twenty minutes late and we went through our build options during which we mentioned that we would most likely need additional excavation and proceeded to set up a site visit. A few days later while our HiLine Homes salesman and contractor were on site I was told that there would be additional excavation necessary and that we may have understated that at the original appointment, regardless "we would receive a quote within a week". Ten days passed without a phone call or email regarding the quote so we reached out via phone to the HiLine Homes contractor who was apologetic for the delay and told us we would receive a quote shortly. Another week passed with no response from HiLIne Homes or the contractor. We then contacted our HiLine Homes representative and we were told "we will contact the contractor for you" and to "stand by". Nearly a year has passed and we have not received a single call or email response from HiLine Homes or the HiLInes homes contractor. In my opinion they have more business then they need and are not concerned about new customers. If they are incapable of retuning phone calls for quotes before a contract, I would be concerned about how they would address an issue if one arose after or during a build. For reference my wife has been an architectural designer for over twenty years and has never experienced such lack of enthusiasm from a home builder attempting to secure a new contract.
