We've been coming to Bethel annually every Woodstock anniversary weekend...We pass Hectors all the time. Last year, we finally decided to attend; they were hosting a musical event. It was the best experience EVER. The grounds were beautiful. Amazing ambiance, great music, they had a food tent making burgers, etc...it was great! The people working the event were friendly and welcoming. There were many vendors with a huge variety of 1960's era related items. My husband attended the original Woodstock festival and he blended right in and felt at home. The event had an authentic Woodstock "vibe". What a wonderful, magical, relaxing, and enjoyable experience. Moving forward, we will include Hectors as part of our annual visit to Bethel. Thank you Hector's Inn!

Cool old bar with lots of ambiance and the spirit of Woodstock and that magical time known as the 1960's singing their ghostly song within these walls.
The staff and locals are friendly and the drinks are cold. I would definitely recommend here if you find yourself in the area.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0 - Damian F.NY, NY0111Nov 13, 2023

It's a dive bar with cheap(!) drinks, cold beers, a juke box, karaoke Fridays and a well decorated back porch that is simply delightful. Take it for what it is and take in the experience. It can be lovely.

True. Authentic. Most certainly rustic !
Great people . Probably Woodstock refuges. If you're lucky enough the crockpot will be full. Don't be scared. Dive right in !!!!
Cool merchandise as well. They don't make em like this anymore !Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ken M.Huntington, NY0112Jul 31, 2019
Stopped in on a 95 degree day after a three hour drive to Bethel. Upon parking the bar manager came outside to ask us if we would like her to take a photo of us in front of the 1969 Woodstock bus, and one of the painted wooden doves they had in front of the entrance. She made us feel extremely welcome. We sat at the bar and had two ice-cold Rolling Rocks. Hit the spot! The A/C was cranking, and there were three locals at the bar. The entire vibe of the place was friendly and positive.. great conversation. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. And I hear this place is always like this. Great place all around. Will be returning next time in Bethel.

Whiled away a bitter cold afternoon throwing back cheap mugs of Bud with the locals. A proper dive, complete with a sweet, squeaky elderly bar cat.
