My family buys all of our natural and organic ingredients here. The teas, spices, and dried berries are great. I really like to buy local honey. They have several different size options here. Plus, you can bring your glass jars back for an in store credit. There's also a little cafe here. It's in a great location, right on Wyndhurst Dr. The staff is very knowledgeable and patient, which is great when you're trying to figure out what product is best for you.

I'm SO very grateful for the staff at this store! My son is a local student, sick, and in need of supplements and a diffuser and oils. One of their staff (I wish I got her name...thank you!) was super patient with me, shopping with me over the phone. I paid over the phone and had a friend pick up the order for him within an hour. That's what great customer service looks like...thank you so very much!!

Today I visited Health Nut and found a great variety of healthy foods like bulk rice, bulk granola, locally grown fresh foods, and plenty of vitamins and similar items at reasonable prices. The store was clean and well laid out and the young lady at the counter was super nice and helpful.

However, I will never go back due to the older employee who went out of her way to follow me around stalking me the entire time like I was some sort of shoplifter. As someone who holds a very high standard and who places a high value on integrity I felt like I was being treated like a criminal and was very offended. My wife had a similar experience with this woman watching her every move a week earlier, but to be fair my wife also said that that woman was helpful and informative when my wife asked her questions.

Were it not for that woman's behavior I would have given Health Nut 5-stars.

Pulled into your Lynchburg location at 7:25 pm and the door says open till 8 ~ as my wife was walking up to door the young lady ran up to the door to make sure it was locked ~ must have wanted to go home early. Well this act just lost you all a 10 year dedicated customer. That was just rude customer service and I will not spend any more of my hard earned money at your establishment. This was the last straw.

I love local health food stores. You find stuff there that, quite honestly, you don't always find at bigger places. Like water kefir starter, for instance. Does the giant Whole Foods in Charlottesville have it? No. Does Health Nut? YES! Score!

Plus, their folks know their stuff - if you're stumped about a particular food, or a supplement or a tea, ask them - they'll give you great suggestions.

Besides all of that, where else can you get a punch card for your kombucha purchases?

Yes, it's on the small side. No, you cannot get absolutely everything there. But I have to tell ya - I've usually had better luck there than at Whole Foods, simply for the reason that the staff actually knows where stuff is at Health Nut. Plus, I don't have to drive 1.5 hours away. It's just down the street.

Love this place! The new building is nice and spacious. The staff are always friendly and super helpful.

Overall very pleased with our visit to Health Nut Nutrition. Very good selections although the store is small. It is very clean and beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. Found a great Paleo dressing - "Ginger Cilantro by Paleochef" there and a wonderful Coconut Bliss Brand flavor we had not tried--"Salted Caramel & Chocolate". Hubby and I have a weakness for sucking down a pint of Coconut Bliss "Dark Chocolate" on road trips but this Salted Caramel and Chocolate comes in a very close 2nd to the Chocolate.
Great little Store--- I recommend Health Nut Nutrition to anyone living in that area or visiting in Lynchburg, VA.

As Health Nut Nutrition is small, I enjoy the careful selection they make in choosing their products- from the supplements, to grocery, to bath and body. I regularly buy both supplements and groceries from Health Nut. I am always pleased with my purchases. I regularly buy their bulk and Kombuchas. I feel that HN has the best bulk selection in town. While the supplements may not be as vast in size as other stores, they choose the best brands and choices in their selection and I can always find what I need. HN is easily the best health food store in its area.

only health food in store in lynchburg. very very expensive 300%markup on most items in store. if you are looking to save cost on healthy items this is not your place.
