Havana Hobbit

We were passing through. The quirky name caught our attention. As we parked we noticed several Georgia license plates. Hummmm! It's not very far from the Fl/Ga. line. We noticed someone come out with several to go containers and hop into one of the Georgia cars. As we crossed the parking lot another large take out order came out and the person hopped into a different Georgia car. Well like dummies, we didn't ask the server what is so popular that people cross the Georgia line to get. My husband ordered the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich 8.89, I got the Greek Salad with Chicken to go 8.95 and here's why I got mine to go. Check out the size of our beers in the pics!!!! There was no way I could drink that beer and eat a huge Greek Salad.
The place is really plain and basic. Cement floor, no fancy furniture. As we sat there more people were coming in and getting large take out orders. Had we read the reviews before we went in we would have realized it's their wings everyone is after. My husband said the Philly Sandwich with fries was really good and he's not sorry he got it. Just a heads up about the salad. I didn't open it till we got back to our room. The chicken on the salad is shredded. I don't eat meat, but I figured the chicken would be like maybe a chicken breast cut into chunks and I could give it to hubby. Nope, it was shredded very fine and there was no picking it out. I did dip a piece of pita bread into the dressing and wow is it good. They have put something in blue cheese dressing to ramp it up a notch. If we are in that neck of the woods again my husband will definitely get the wings.

I ordered a Gyro with pickles and it was nothing like I'm used to. The Tzatziki sauce was clumpy and didn't even have any Greek flavor. The lamb lacked juiciness. The only that I can say their hot wings are good and hot.

Alright so what do you say about the hobbit that you don't already know. It's a dive bar of a restaurant. You know exactly what you're going to get when you get there. No frills or fluff. Been going there since I was a kid. Fried pickles are great and the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich is my go to. Staff is great different people but always the same kind of service as far back as I can remember

It's my first time coming here and I chose to come here because I was reading all the good reviews but I was disappointed when my experience was different., I asked for all flats and got something different. The garlic mushrooms was ok but the wings I did not enjoy at all. I got lemon pepper and garlic lemon and could not taste the seasoning at all they could have just gave it to me plain and add my own seasoning when I got home. This will be my last and only time coming here.

The food was pretty good for the price, but the service was slower than the sloths on Zootopia. We waited a solid 20 minutes after arriving for them to take our order, and it was not even busy.

Wings were excellent. Fresh , crispy and wonderful ! Best wings I've had since I moved to Tallahassee . And there selection for wing sauce is large , they have all kinds of sauces and flavors. Spectacular foods here

While visiting the area we noticed quite a few cars in the parking lot. Pretty basic dining area with bar and tables etc. Fair prices and good food. I got the Philly Cheese steak and fries. Fries were very good and crispy. The sandwich was also very good. We did not ask prior to ordering but it appears that the wings are their most popular item. They do have a good selection of draft beers at reasonable prices.....

Stay Away.
This place is dirty, food is inconsistent, service very slow and staff doesn't care if your not happy with your food.
Will not go back again.

I had not been to the Hobbit in several months. I must saw it has improved alot. The menu has been improved and prices lowered. We got 15 wings and an order of chicken tenders. Food was great and plentiful. We won't wait so long to return next time.

I wouldn't give this place 1 star. If you want to WAIT on your food AFTER 3 other groups that come in after you get theirs then by all means do wait
