Happy's Drive-In

The classic American drive in experience. 7 of us ate burger baskets (fries and drink) plus some onion rings to share for under $65.

For dessert we followed up with on site made ice cream sandwiches and didn't regret the mandatory nap afterwards.

Out door basketball and small playground for kids. Indoor playground for inclement weather.

I had the Big Happy Burger Basket! It's was very good but then again I was starving. lol. Drive thru was slow slow slow. Only four cars in front of me. Took almost a half hour

Friendly customer service, excellent homemade sloppy Joe's and crispy fries. We just stopped by on the way to the casino and we didn't regret it.

Good food, fast service, stop all the time when going up to the cabin! Only drive thru is open.

I absolutely LOVE Happy's! I make the trek over an hour away for the sloppy joes and ice cream.

Great food, fast service, no inside dining or bathrooms so be aware. Eat outside ,in your car, or take away. No access inside the building at all.

Still not open inside. Burger good but bun just okay. I had an awesome turtle flurry!

After eating a couple bites of my burger, noticed the bun was moldy, brought it to their attention, and they said you've already ate on it ! And there was a dead mouse at the front step going in told them they should probably pick it up. Very rude service never going back. !

Open for drive thru ONLY (at least for now), no bathrooms but the playground and picnic tables are open. Luckily we had hand sanitizer in our vehicle to wash our hands before eating our cheeseburger and sloppy Joe.

We were on Lake Mille Lacs with the kids, so obviously this was a perfect place to stop for kids. They have a beautiful outdoor play area as well, which was ideal for us.

The food was fine. We had a fish sandwich and shrimp sandwich -- both were very similar to some thing you'd have at McDonalds. My review isn't based on the food, it is based in the experience.

Any place that caters to kids, you'd think, would have restrooms that children could use. We asked the staff, who were very friendly, if my son could use the restroom. The staff commented that the manager specifically has said bathrooms are closed to patrons.

I get it, things are tough with Covid esp related to safety. But, this place has an open public playground which children could use. If it were really about safety, it would be congruent for the management to close the outdoor play space (otherwise, just let kids use the bathroom).

Driving back from up north we stopped here on the way home. The service was friendly. The bathroom wasn't yet open to the public. The hard ice cream wasn't that good. The soft serve was better. Fries delicious! Burgers were ok. I think it was REALLY expensive for what it was. I can see the nostalgia of a place like this which I appreciate. And, it definitely wasn't worth the price to me. Probably wouldn't stop here again except that it is conveniently located.
