This rock bar is a hidden gem in Tokyo's Shinjuku area. When you ascend an elevator to the fourth floor and open a nondescript door you've arrived at a tiny shrine to classic rock. The walls are covered with vinyl covers, American and Japanese guitar riffs float out of the speakers, and a bevy of instruments sit ready to be played. The space is intimate and the owners are friendly, happy to chat about their city and their passion.
But the very best part is when those instruments are put to use! Before closing, the owners and a patron rocked out with renditions of the classics, making this spot a truly unique experience to add to any Tokyo visit. Highly recommended for anyone who loves rock or bars that do more than a boring exchange of coins for drinks.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Vince F.Concord, NC45132274Jan 17, 2020
Don't let the name deceive you. I came here because I saw it was very close to my hotel and it had good reviews. The reviews were accurate. The drinks are good and the hosts are very polite and speak excellent English. They even gave us some cigarettes at no extra cost! We had some good conversations and the music is on point. They were even able to recommend a sushi restaurant for us to eat at afterwards. I highly recommend stopping by if you want an intimate and memorable Japanese bar experience. I'd come back again if I had more time in Tokyo!

Went into this little hidden bar because of the name. (It's my last name) We were just going in to have a drink and check it out. It's an intimate, smaller, cozy space with some cool jams playing on a nice sound system. Turns out the owners were very cool, friendly people and we ended up staying for a lot more than just one drink.
Highly recommend hanging out here if you're in the area!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David G.Auburn Hills, MI3185Dec 14, 2019

Just a joy. Music, quirky decor, an honest straight pour. The proprietor and the server were a pleasure to sit and talk with. A nice break from the street level craziness
