For a Toby Carvery I would class this one as average. Staff are reasonably friendly but a little slow on service. Not a worry for us as we are retired and have all the time in the world but I noticed other diners becoming frustrated. The roast meats are delicious I must say but the veggies were a little time worn having been out on the hotplate for a little too long. The whole décor seemed to need an update as that was time worn too and not too clean, especially the flooring. I realise this can be put down to the kids that parents seem to allow to run 'riot' these days but it needs a clean up.
Myself, if I am in the area next time I will return to Whitewebbs House. A much better carvery, in my estimation.

We were having a belated Christmas meal so figured the Toby carvery was a good choice. We arrived early and tried to park but it was very busy so had a ten minute wait to get a space. The bar area was quiet and we sat and had a drink while waiting for the rest to arrive. The car park is usually pay and display but if you eat you can claim it back. We didn't need to book as it was a Wednesday night and we were seated in the back. There are so many seats! The carvery was well cooked and was delicious. With refillable soft drink the total came to £10.20 per person. At the buffet you get one serving of meat, (there are usually 3 or 4 options) we had the choice of Gammon, Beef and Turkey so you could have all of one or a bit of each and one Yorkshire pudding but can have as much of the veg as you want. There is even a few vegetarian options.

Attracted by the pre 6pm 2 courses for £7.99 we visited this restaurant while holidaying with family who live in the area and were frequent visiters to this place. Our party was large with 6 adults and 4 kids and were expertly fitted in around a large circular table. The place itself was OK and the menu offered a good and varied selection of meals from both the adults and kids menu. Regarding the food when it arrived there was absolutely no complaints from anyone or the service for that matter. The best thing of all was the overall cost and I recommend this on that basis as being good value for money.
