About the Business
The Hack & Hop is a traditional and stylish pub centrally located in the City of London. The Hack & Hop combines the traditional pub values and setting of what you would expect from a classic English public house alongside a more modern product offering of craft beer which is heavily based around a lot of local producers in the London craft beer scene. The beer offering extends to 12 keg, 4 cask and 60+ bottled beers. The food ranges from pub classics, favourites like fish & chips to Sunday roast and then more modern cuisine, all prepared in house by our chef and kitchen team. This offer has developed the Hack & Hop a good reputation through the media, with references from Time Out, Evening Standard, The Observer, Guardian, etc.

Good staff, music, and beer selection. The Hack & Hop is a bit hidden on Whitefriars Street and has some odd hours, closing at 10:30 or 11 pm on weeknights and 6 pm on Sundays. (On Saturday, it's available for private parties.)
If you're in the neighborhood and want a comfortable drink with friends, seek out the place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Steve L.Pasadena, CA117240388Oct 8, 2019
Loved everything from the cozy, warm decor to the delicious sampler platter and fish & chips. I was looking forward to eating a Scotch egg for the first time, and this didn't disappoint! The rosemary chips were so good too! Their beer battered haddock was light and crispy and perfect for me.
If I was a local, I'd be hanging out here all the time!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lars P.London, United Kingdom23154Jan 31, 2018
The beer selection is outstandingly excellent (Both lager and ales), the staff is friendly and the burger is thoroughly ok...
To be honest, the burger is slightly above average, so while I wouldn't mind going here for food again (Trying something different), it wouldn't be my first choice, but it would definitely be my first choice in the area if I wanted tasty beer.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Tyrone V.Novato, CA6331013Apr 13, 2017
I would've returned to Hack & Hop multiple times if I lived in the area... Alas, my home is a bit over 5,000 miles away. This place would fit right at home in the States by the way, mainly because it's craft beer-centric, but what I like the most about Hack & Hop is the food and the ambiance. We arrived on a Thursday night and the bottom level was packed, so we went up to and settled on the second level, which has a chill dining area. Order the "sharing platter" (check out the image I uploaded): it has black pudding, sage scotch egg, anchovy crostini, black Bean hummus, spicy beef meatballs & fried brie. The platter was probably one of our favorite things we ordered while in London. We paired it with a few of the ales on tap, both of which suited us just fine.
The service in the dining area was friendly and patient (we took a while to order, but we never felt rushed). Looking forward to visiting Hack & Hop again (just waiting for the next Norwegian Air deal to pop up).Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Caitlyn M.Dallas, TX36256Jun 29, 2019
Nice variety of beers! Found a solid ABV IPA and some of the best chips (fries) I've ever had. Also very nice staff! Would definitely come again when I'm back in London.

SO glad we found this place a few days before leaving London. BEST SUNDAY ROAST EVER! A must visit if you're in London. Definitely a memorable little spot. Not only was the food amazing, the service was absolutely spectacular. We were lucky to walk in without reservation and be able to be seated at the last available table.

Craft beer has become synonymous with rather sugary faux-IPAs; I'd like to say it was different here but that would be an untruth worthy of 45. My estimation was lifted by their having a. Dry serviceable Salzburger pils ( Stiegl). Anyway, for a small pub this does quite well at its metier, i.e. Craft beer and a bit of food ( short menu, think burger/fish and chips/couple of salads and some sharing plates). I heartily recommend the pork belly if it's available on your visit, although also of note is the "British Specials" night on a Tuesday.

If you work on or near Fleet Street, say hello to your new 'deli of craft beers'.
Smashing little pub on Whitefriars Lane, just enough out of sight to get in an inconspicuous half pint after/during lunch without running into the boss.
They boast a plethora of craft ales, decent house wines, and a seasonal menu which I found tempting despite my hangover. I had a bit of the venison carpaccio which came with a tangy wholegrain mustard slaw and was better than in proper restaurants. I also picked at the little chorizo bites and sausages.
We tried about 3 or 4 ales, each in half pint measures and each were flavorsome and interesting. The Titanic Stout and Rooster's Baby-faced Assassin (yes, how good is that name?) were some highlights. Great cask ales from interesting breweries with catchy, inventive names.
This is not your an old punter's pub. Here, you won't find several sad looking boozers at the window sills with heads down into their half pints. It's neat and clean, very parental friendly with both upstairs and ground floor seating. Our server was very friendly and chatty, which made for great conversation. You have an upscale and slightly hipster audience and a simple interior. Definitely a fan. I will be back to get pinty.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Mindy L.Markham, Canada7973208Jun 29, 2018
We went here to watch the World Cup Game between England and Belgium. This was a nice spot that wasn't too crowded compared to all the other bars. The arms had a good selection of beers and the bartenders were nice. The food menu was limited. We only ordered the chips with aioli sauce which came very quickly and was nice and fresh. I would recommend this location for a football game but not dinner.

This little pub located in a small street, in the heart of London is a great place to be. The waitresses are very nice, and the beers are very great.
After many hours of walk, visiting London thoroughly, we were very happy to find this cute and conventionnal English pub. We wanted to drink an "Ambrée" beer, but it was fastidious, so the bartender suggested us to taste many beers, and to find the one which suits us.
Very nice place!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
