Unreliable office communication, office does not know their inventory, and will not reach out to you to check on work or progress. Work was done well but they contract out. If you can reach the contractors directly you probably will get a better deal on price. I will not be seeking this company out again or recommending them to anyone.

$200 per month to clean my pool and this is what it has looked like all summer. We haven't been able to use it at all this summer. They come out and swirl around the green and then blame the rain for its color. It rained more last summer and our pool looked much better.

I had some tiles come off my pool which I thought would be a minor repair. I called around and finally found a firm H3O that came when they said the would and provided a detailed estimate and explanation on what needed to be done. I had a very large breach in the beam that ran the entire circumference of my pool. My little tile job just became a major renovation (at least in my eyes). Brandon my H3O project manager was very upfront and gave me a great price. The workers were very professional and really paid attention to detail. The job was completed on time and the results were better than anticipated. I was provided, before, during and after photos and for the price I was very very pleased. A+++

These guys are local and will treat you fairly. They treated me fairly when I had a concern about their service. I recommend this company.
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 7, 2016Previous reviewI really disliked their service. They came out and repaired our sprinkler and told us it'd be under $500 but then once they were finished it was $1000. They reassured us that if anything ever went wrong they'd take care of it no problem. Well it broke in less than 1 year and I called them and they told me, "ok well you have to x amount of money and we'll come inspect it and if it was our fault then we'll refund you, otherwise you'll still have to pay..."

Positive:
1) The tech (Victor) was terrific, answered questions.
Negative:
1) H3O billed $991 for a new pump when the original quoted price was $700 from Victor. Amazon charges $700 for the same pump.
2) H3O claimed they replaced the multiport valve, which they did not. When asked about the billing discrepancy they explained the total was accurate, they just mislabelled parts on the bill. Right.
Would not use again or recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hello Mr. Darter,
1) The number that was originally given to you by Victor was a ballpark figure. Our Technicians do not give quotes at the job sites. All of our quotes are put together in our office after speaking to not only our technicians but the parts warehouse as well to ensure we get you the best pricing possible. This is why we send all clients a proper bid with pricing from the office. The estimate was sent out to you via email on April 10th and approved that same day.
2) You are correct we did not replace the multiport valve. We replaced the multiport diverter seal. The pricing on the invoice was correct, it was a verbiage error only on H3O's end. This was later fixed and resent to you after being brought to our attention.
We have tried to contact you several times prior to this review but have been unable to reach you. Please contact our office at 210-836-8181. - Sarah M.San Antonio, TX1004Aug 1, 2016
Pool service: When they come, they do a good job. Terrible customer service. I was "skipped" in the schedule a few times with no explanation. After confronting them, having to prove to them what my scheduled weeks are and that they skipped my entire week, they finally sent someone out. I didn't get my emailed invoice so I didn't know to pay...once i realized i had not paid them in a while, i immediately paid them. The next week they didn't show up. When i called and spoke with a "manager" I was told they cancelled my service this week and rescheduled me for the next week because my payment was late. Did they call to tell me this? Nope. Did they call to ask where my payments was or if i received the invoice? Nope. Did they call to let me know they cancelled my regular service week and rescheduled me for the next week? Nope. Zero communication from them to me. For me it was 4 strikes(skipped service dates), and you're out.
It really is a shame, because we have used H3O sprinklers for years and years for anything sprinkler related and Tony and his adorable boxer were awesome!! We recommended him to anyone that mentioned sprinklers. Unfortunately, when they opened the pool division in the last year or so, the great customer service did not carry over.

Cathy D ... what you have experienced is what I have found to be a not uncommon practice with the pool servicing companies I have used. I am now on my 4th company since opening my residential pool in 2010. ALL of the techs, with whom I had signed an agreement that they were to service my pool WEEKLY - sweep, skim, empty my pool cleaner, check and balance chemicals, DID NOT complete all those tasks weekly. Why? Because they majority of them are not needed to be done weekly.
During non-swim months there's little maintenance to be done as there is no sun tan lotions, body oils, debris, etc getting into the pool. So, unless your pool is surrounded by trees or other types of pool-killing debris producers, the sweeping, cleaning, and the chemicals can be checked/done every 2 to 3 weeks without any ill effects on your pool. BUT, rather than telling you that, many (most?) pool techs, to include yours obviously, show up, go to the back yard ... perhaps pick out a few acorns or leaves that have fallen into the pool and, if your lucky, will check the chemical balance. But they WILL be gone in about 5 minutes, max.
I watched my highly rated pool service tech a couple of years ago (through the blinds like your hubby did) for 3 straight weeks and he did nothing but sweep the dirt off my tanning deck, empty the skimmer baskets, and pick some acorns out of the pool. He was in and out in 5-7 minutes. When I confronted him with his not being truthful with me - his own worksheet stated that he had swept, vacuumed, and checked the chemicals - he swore that he had done so, and basically called me a liar. He went into his "everyone else loves me and our guys are the greatest in the business" ... etc., etc. I didn't fall for the guilt trip, and fired him on the spot.
However, that's when I being to realize that the guy was just doing what the other two gents before him had been doing ... the minimum needed to get by, which took only a few minutes a week - no heavy lifting required. What I realized was that my pool was in good shape, despite the lack of effort each week. That's when it dawned on me that this taking care of the pool was pretty much a piece of cake ... one that I could do on my own and not pay someone more than a $150/hour to do so. Even on the days when these guys are "busting hump" and doing all the tasks, they're not at my pool for more than 12-15 minutes - add another 10-15 if servicing my filters. In other words ... you're paying for someone to spend about 40 minutes or less a month working on your pool. Expensive, no?
Do it yourself ...if you don't know how, have someone like Pool Mart come out and show you how to do it. It's not hard ... and you may even find yourself just walking out to the pool and doing nothing, too!! :PHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cathy D.HI, HI9715Sep 3, 2013First to Review
Tony Moore and his company will not disappoint. Irrigation system that I had installed works great on my new lawn. The workmanship was spot on and only the best parts are used. After 4 weeks, when I noticed I wasn't getting 100% coverage, I called and his technicians came to my house the same day and moved some heads. I highly recommend H3O Water Systems for your irrigation system.

They came out to give me a bid on a pool remodel. The guys seemed to know what they were talking about. They told me the first thing that needed to happen was a leak detection and that they could get that done right away within the week. I waited for over a week, nothing. I called them after waiting over a week only to get a guy who said it was their fault and as a "favor" what he could do is get the leak detection scheduled in 6 MORE days instead of waiting 10 days. People like this drive me crazy. WHY would I spend thousands of dollars on a pool remodel if you can't even get me the services and an estimate in a timely manner??? Then act like you'll do me a favor by getting me the service your people originally promised me STILL a week later?? I REFUSE to do business with people like this and if you do, good luck to you. I guess they find enough suckers who will let this kind of stuff fly.

Very disappointing! We had weekly service for a little over a month. I've always trusted they are doing their job, so never really watched them while they are out there. I get the receipt for work done, and pay. Today, my husband was off. He watched through the window to see exactly what was being done. He observed his time in and out, as well as the work performed. The pool technician basically, backed his truck up the drive, unloaded his water hose, walked to the back of the house, where the pool pump is located, walked back around to his truck, packed his hose... Which he never even used, and drove off. Before leaving, he left a receipt showing that he cleaned the pool, checked equipment, checked chemicals, balanced water, back washed/rinsed filter. All false except for checking equipment. I called the main office to complain. When questioned, the tech falsified papers to show he was here for 50 minutes, when it was actually only 5 minutes. The manager said they needed to give him the benefit of the doubt. So he took the tech's word over the customer. I rated them with two stars only because their receptionist is super friendly and personable. Customers beware of what you are actually paying for!

Hello, my name is Anthony Moore and I am the owner of H3O Water Systems. I'm so sorry to see this type of comment from one of our clients. H3O is and always has been 100% customer satisfaction oriented. Tony (the cleaning tech who had your account) has been working for us for over a year now and we have had one praising compliment after another from his various accounts. This man truly loves and takes great pride in his work. It's not that the manager you talked to on the phone was taking the techs word over your word, it's just the actions you were suggesting were just so far out of the norm for this particular tech that he had a hard time with the information. Please know that we hold so many high profile residential and commercial accounts that all of our cleaning techs go through background checks and CPO training before they are allowed to have any accounts. Tony is one of our best cleaning techs and maintains our highest profile residential accounts.
However, with all of that being said, I do want you to know, I take issue with you statement about us not being trust worthy. H3O is probably one of the most trust worthy pool and irrigation companies in San Antonio. Commercial clients like Fiesta Texas, The San Antonio Spurs, several ISD's, numerous fitness gyms, many apartments' complexes and hotels all will be happy to testify to this statement. When we get new accounts, we keep them. The only reason we lose accounts is because a client is looking for cheaper price never because of the lack of quality of in our work!
