      We're lucky to have one of these in the area. The other music stores have maybe 3 brands to choose from. I've spent a lot of money here over the past few years, It's all been quality stuff. The one time I was unsatisfied they gave me a refund. The staff has been good overall, my only complaint would be that when I use the gear card discounts it seems to not go through and we spend 10 min at the register.

      Unorganized and unhelpful employees. Worse than a dollar tree. Sweetwater.com is your best bet.

      First thing I'll say is if you are going to go to a Guitar Center then please pick the Pensacola location.
      Mobile store has some of the most unhelpful employees for a music store that I have ever personally experienced and I'm a 50 year experienced musician.

      Ok, so here's my dirt on the mobile location. They salesman that started helping just suddenly went to lunch when I thought he was going after a case for a guitar I was going to purchase.
      After that, the second employee didn't know how to check me out at the register or how to make a transaction. The third employee was the most unhelpful of all even though I did go ahead and buy the PRS acoustic guitar I wanted.
      I just received my new guitar center credit card in the mail but couldn't activate it over the phone because they had that bs set up to fail in my opinion.
      So, at check out the third salesman told me my card was declined.
      I ask him if he could just do the transaction online as the pensacola store had just done for me previously a week before this.
      He said, I can't do that in this store and then ask did I want to pay the difference on a trade/back in from the pensacola store.
      I said I'll pay the difference in price if I can use my guitar center card.
      He then told me in so many words that I would have to call about activation for my card which I understand. The problem was, he was not willing to help or call for me at all. He was only interested in the difference in price so I paid the difference on one of my personal credit cards.

      If this had been the pensacola store it would never have been a problem at all.
      Joey and Kenny are there to go the extra mile for the customer unlike the Mobile location.
      Pensacola store actually checked me out without having my card because I hadn't received in the mail yet when I went there.
      See the difference in customer satisfaction now?
      The only reason I went to the mobile store was to play some different guitars than I had previously in pensacola.

      As for me, I will never return to the mobile store ever again. I wouldn't buy a pick from those jerks!

      Just hoping my new PRS works well for me but if it doesn't for any reason then I'll go see Joey or Kenny in pensacola.

      Not all guitar center are bad, I've been to many of them and done business with them for years.
      So far the Mobile store is the worst I have been to.

      That's my dirt!!!!
      Mobile guitar center, I hope you guys will someday learn the value of a valuable customer.
      I won't hold my breath however unless you get some new salesman and employees whom care about their customers.

      The first thing I would recommend to anyone is get educated on the product you are looking to purchase. There are shysters in that store that have no problem or conscience screwing you out of money. Talk to other guitarists before talking to these shills. They are all in it for the money. Mobile, AL. Guitar Center is 1 star! I don't know about Pensacola, FL. Do your "homework" before dealing with these shysters. I literally had to stop an employee from ripping my buddy off. If you're going to buy anything from this company, do your homework, or bring someone that knows something about guitars, effects processors, etc. with you!

      On 03/30/2023 I ordered a Schecter C5 5 string bass guitar from the Mobile Alabama store. The guitar arrived at the Glen Burnie MD on 04/03/2023. I knew it was not going to be good when I saw the condition of the box that the AL store shipped my guitar in. The box looked like it had been through the ringer in the 3 days it took to get to Glen Burnie MD. Even the sales person warned me to check the guitar thoroughly before I leave the store. Of course, the guitar did in fact get damaged during the shipping process. The bottom of the body of the guitar had a chip and a ding in it. What made me so angry is the lazy, extremely poor job the Mobile Alabama Guitar Center store did in wrapping my guitar up to ground ship it to Maryland. They used only one sheet of bubble wrap and a few filler sheets of papers that were not sufficient enough to fill the empty spaces in the box. I could feel the guitar moving around in the box even before it was opened (the box was opened in front of me in the store). This was in contrast to how the NY store wrapped the first Schecter C5 guitar I ordered. The NY store wrapped that guitar so good that it took a sales person in the Glen Burnie store about 10 minutes of pulling away bubble wrap just to get to the guitar. I called the GC AL store to let them know how disappointed I was in the job they did at wrapping my guitar but the person I spoke to sounded really apathetic to my experience. At least give me an "oh no! Sorry about that sir, heads are going to roll" (even if you don't mean it) instead of when I tell you what an employee did at your store to make my buying experience there a bad one and all I got was "OK".

      Do not shop here. Staff is rude and unhelpful. So rude. I bought a keyboard and stand from this store and had questions about how to assemble. The guy on the phone said "we don't do that. We don't give help with assembly """. You need to call Yamaha.""" And, he hung up the phone on me! He hung up on me. All I wanted was a little assistance assembling and he hung up on me.
      this business is horrible.

      Big box music store. I've bought a ton of stuff here, but I gotta day it's NOT my favorite. But it is my go to when I can't find it anywhere else. Their prices are good, and their service is ok. They have plenty of inventory to try, touch, and feel. Options, options, options!! They have them. Sometimes though, you really have to pry the help out of them, if you have questions.

      First off i will say that i have shopped here for a long time and spent loads of money on equipment here. I love to shop here! It is convenient for me and the rest of my band! This weekend I went to shop for strings before a show and i was asked to leave because i didn't have a face mask on. Unfortunately i did not have a choice because of how late it was in the evening so i had to go to my car and cover my face.
      Not only do face masks fail to protect the healthy from getting sick, they also create serious health risks to the wearer!
      As long as this company FORCES customers to wear these mask I WILL NOT be shopping here!
      Hopefully they will stop FORCING there clientele and employees to cover there face...

      I came in with an audio problem concerning a family members hearing aids. Blake was able to quickly help us solve the connection problem. They are the best!
