My first time here? It was greasy and ran right thru! Took some time for me to gather the strength to come back but glad as hell I did! This place is like an northern Michigan getaway cabin with great pizza and good beer selection! Not sure what they did to fix their 'za's but it's sooo good now!
Went with the deep dish ( which is still round!) make our own, ground beef, green pepper, mushroom. Effing delicious! Thoroughly loved every bite, mixed with my $4 30 ounce Dos Equis special. Started with a cup of homemade chili which was solid, then to the antipasto salad, also Buddy's pizza worthy. Nothing wrong at all!
Decor is northern Michigan cabin, with the local Lake Orion football coaching staff havin a few, talking playoffs. It's a local, down home bar with awesome pizza. Go here and order away!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tom H.North Branch, MI17643Mar 18, 2024
I really, really want to like this place, but it lacks that shock n' awe factor.
The pizza is good - not outstanding, but better than Hungry Howies & Domino's. NOT better than Buddy's or Paisano's though.
Everything else I've tried before is mediocre... Just DO NOT under any circumstances order the Fish & Chips!! You'll be sorry.
Will I be back? Mehhh... Won't be my first choice. Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 29, 2023
We came here tonight with some friends after hanging out at Round1 at Great Lakes Crossing nearby. Lake Orion isn't my neighborhood but one friend lives nearby, and said he had been here before and the pizza was good.
We had the pretzels with queso which was good but not great, as an appetizer, and the four of us split a Godfather pizza (14" aka 8 slices aka medium) and a Super pizza, with only half olives, because I hate olives.
Surprisingly, I liked the Super one the best - the Godfather pizza had fresh mozzarella, I believe, which was great, but also WHOLE garlic, which made it a little spicy for me.
Waitservice was overall fine, a little slow with drink refills but then the pace picked up a bit.
Since we split the app and pizzas, for the 2 of us (and one Pepsi Zero), it was only $25 before tip, which isn't bad at all. I'd come back here another time or to their Oxford location because the food was so good. My only minor complaint is that the faucets didn't work in the bathroom - the first time I went in, they had some sort of faucet replacement with hot water, but the other times it was gone and the faucets still didn't work.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - 277212153Dec 17, 2023Updated review
GET THE GLUTEN FREE BREADSTICKS. We will be back just for that alone but everything else was delicious as well. Full bar - even does different shots and mixed drinks. Great atmosphere - clean and large area. Looks like
Big parties would be good to do. Service was great as well. Loved our waiter!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Nov 26, 2023Previous reviewGreat place for friends and family! We loved the ambience and things to do at the Oxford location. Service was wonderful, loved the communication and banter. Drinks were also delicious - lots of options. We didn't try any food but will need to next time!

One of my favorite go-to's in the area a bit on the princely side, but love the pizza, salad and breadsticks. Always fresh and high quality ingredients. Dining in is always fun, but I prefer to carry out. Fast friendly service in a cool lodge setting.

The food was good, our waitress tonight was very nice and friendly.. I love the atmosphere of the place and if you are back in the area I would love to come visit again.... It's a little expensive but nothing outrageous

Always friendly service and excellent food. Finally tried the cheesy breadsticks and pizza last weekend and it did not disappoint! Absolutely delicious! Good job staff!

Service isn't what it use to be! I've dined in and ordered delivery recently and it's really troubling. When dining in my husband and I waited 30 minutes for a burger that we were splitting- the bartender stated it was due to a ticket issue but then didn't go out of her way to ensure that we were satisfied for the rest of our visit. THEN, we recently ordered a medium pizza for delivery. We were told it would be 45 minutes- 1 hour. After an hour I asked my husband to call and check on our order and thank goodness he did because the guy that answered the phone yet again said "the kitchen didn't print your ticket sorry" and expected us to wait another hour! We use to love Gs especially since we reside close by but now, I'd rather drive an extra few miles to get better service and avoid "ticket issues". It's also extremely disappointing that a manager doesn't do their due diligence when this stuff comes up!

As Pizzaria's go I like the overall vibe of G's.
The log cabin interior dining room is large and welcoming.
I recently stopped in there to pick up a couple "you bake" pizzas that I wanted for an 8 pm College football game.
Their "You bake" pizza is a step from frozen.
The toppings are plentiful. The crust is ok.
Definitely looking to go there and enjoy the dining room and their diverse menu.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - David P.Lake Orion, MI291Jan 27, 2023
The food is really good and the choices are broad.
We enjoy that we can eat pizza and breadsticks while another day eat a pasta dish.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Erin F.Kalamazoo, MI1182Jun 4, 2023
With high school kids decompressing after final exams. Burger was good. Pizza good. Decent location for us to go after the escape room place next door. Sunday is supposedly family fun night. Our polite and well-behaves kids wanted to play corn hole, darts etc while we waited for our food but were told they needed to have the receipt from our meal. That seemed kind of ridiculous. Once we finished eating, they went next door to the go karts instead. Not sure we will like come back just for the food, but maybe...
