Normally I love this place but for some reason they constantly turn off their DoorDash.
Today we had placed an order on DoorDash, had it processed and the DoorDasher actually made it to the store and was waiting for the order, only to be told the order was canceled upon arriving....an hour after we ordered it. Why turn your door dash on and accept orders if you plan to cancel them when the dasher gets there? Do better.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Imbri S.Ventana Ranch, Albuquerque, NM98250517May 13, 2022
I'm in the wrong stage of my life to properly appreciate this establishment. Were the better-half and I looking for a local spot to chill for half a day talking with friends over lattes and lunch, this would be the ideal place.
We found the Grind Haus via search for vegetarian options ahead of us while driving I-25 northbound. Figuring that since they offered takeout and curbside pickup, we attempted to order from the website. No luck, as the selections would not add to cart. Since I actually don't like talking on the phone, we dropped in to order in person, figuring sandwiches would be quick and we would be back on our way. Our "quick" lunch took over half an hour to prepare. Not a terrible thing that if we were in the headspace to sit at one of the patio tables on this lovely spring afternoon, and if you do have the time, the indoor seating is plentiful and the decor exactly what an independent local coffee shop should be.
I ordered the Uber and it was fully worth the wait. Although it was bigger than my head, I don't feel heavy after eating the whole thing. A vegan option, it was packed with all the green leafies I don't always find at home. Better yet, it had super tasty hummus as well as marinated crimini for protein. I don't think it could have tasted fresher if I'd picked the greens myself. Other veg like onion and sun-dried tomato rounded out the flavor profile, making this probably the tastiest and healthiest road food I've had in ateast the last year.
The lack of a fifth star, however is due to my other half having a significantly less stellar experience of his Orret Pa bagel. I don't do lox, so I can't confirm that the fish was completely overpowered by the sprouts and cucumbers. It did look incredibly gorgeous though.
All-in-all I strongly recommend Grind Haus to anyone who has a leisurely afternoon to spend in Pueblo, as the unhurried warmth of the staff and quirky ambiance of the house are well worth the time.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dec 17, 2020
Yelp came through again and provided us a place to eat in a town we hadn't stayed at before. When I searched for vegan food, the Grind Haus was first on the list, and I'm glad we didn't search further.
Just like most places, COVID has forced places to not allow seating inside. Fortunately it was nice out in the evening so we sat at one of their tables on the sidewalk.
The guy at the counter was very friendly and explained things to us when we had questions. I ordered the vegan burrito and it was amazing. We also had a bowl of the black bean soup which I thought was a little too sweet for my liking.
They also have bagels. I got a few for the drive home and so glad I did. Very yummy, especially the French toast bagel.
Overall, I will definitely be back if I make it to Pueblo again.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 22253599Jun 18, 2021
My everything bagel alone was more flavorful than many sandwiches I have had. Great, friendly people, busy at 2:00 PM on a Friday afternoon. Extensiveeee menus, good music (Rush, Bob Seeger, Traveling Wilburys). Everyone comes here: Ladies Who Lunch, young students, families in addition to the coffee house folks one expects with the vibe. Bonus: these people know their beverages, their bagels and most of all, their clientele. Worth the trip!

This review is only for the food at Grind Haus Cafe.
I happened to be driving through Pueblo and figured why not try to find a place that offers vegetarian options rather than getting Taco Bell?
Grind Haus Cafe came up and the vibe of their website and how expansive their menu is gave off the impression that they were an established restaurant with many vegetarian/vegan options. I ordered via phone to pick up.
Upon arrival, I realized Grind Haus was far more cafe than restaurant. The vibe was still cool and reminded me of many chill establishments.
However, as I waited for my food, I noticed their "kitchen" had 3 microwaves. Uh-oh. This is a bad sign.
I ordered the Portabella Philly ($10.50), Uber ($11), and Vegan Burrito ($13). Of these 3, the Uber was the best and by best I mean it was sufficient. A good amount of raw vegetables in a spinach wrap. The Portabella Philly was not a philly. The vegetables were not cooked. They were raw. The sandwich was likely microwaved just to get the provolone cheese to kind of melt. The Vegan Burrito (the most expensive) was by far the worst. The employee who took my phone order asked if I wanted it "smothered." I said, "Sure." The smothering was some sort of flavorless salsa goo. It was all over the burrito. The burrito was now more goo than burrito. The burrito itself, once again, is not cooked. So it's just a tortilla with a bunch of raw vegetables on the inside. That's not a burrito.
Why I have a major problem with this is that the prices are outrageous for what you get. Additionally, it's fine if the cafe operates with the use of just raw items. If you do that, then only have menu items that cater to raw vegetables/cold cut meats. Just be a sandwich shop basically. Why have such a large and elaborate menu that appears to cater to vegans/vegetarians yet not be able to actually cook anything? And, please, there is no way you can charge these prices for food items you are microwaving!
At least when it came to the food, the Grind Haus was a grind indeed. I would give the place 1-star but, as I mentioned, I do think the vibe in there would be great just to do some reading or have a conversation or have a drink so I don't want to hold that against them. But I didn't come in there for those things. I came for the food. And the food is overpriced yuck. I would have rather gone to Taco Bell and scarfed their food down at a fraction of the price.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 985561659Mar 7, 2021
This could have been a 4 star review but I'm giving them 3 stars because of the server. When I initially called, they told us they do indoor dining, no reservations required and the earlier we came (6:10-6:15pm) the better as their kitchen would close soon. So we got there at 6:10 pm and were told, no it's just takeout. No response beyond that. The girl at the counter was either just not paying attention, wanting to go home or stoned or something. When we asked what's good, we got very random answers. My friend was still deciding what she wanted when the girl just says, "ok so you're having xxx" and my friend said no I'm thinking out loud and she still didn't get it! Kept asking us if she should charge it or not. So finally my friend said, sure guess I'll have that xxx". Then the girl asks, "what bread?" We asked what breads do you have? She lists them and then says," so you'll have wheat? Ok!" We were so surprised that we didn't even have a chance to say, we didn't say what bread we wanted! And for me, my sandwich comes with a choice of bread/bagel and I didn't even get asked!
I took the Harley Quinn and a honeydew boba tea. The Harley Quinn is a sweet and spicy sandwich with Jalepenos, chili, veggies and a siracha sauce. It was very good. Quite filling too. The boba tea was good. A lot of boba to my surprise. I won't take the whipped cream next time, it's too much sweet.
I don't actually know what my friend ended up taking and she doesn't remember either because we were discussing Sgt pepper, elvis, baked chiki but the confusion with the girl, no idea what we ended up with.
You guys have good food. Please ask your servers to pay more attention in addition to being friendly.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 17, 2019
This cafe is like a little gem in downtown Pueblo. The sausage breakfast burrito, dessert and staff are great!
I got the sausage breakfast burrito and there was plenty enough to make me full. Surprisingly, the green chile has a slight hit of spiciness as compared to many other places with with non spicy green chile.
In addition I got the cinnamon roll blossom which was a nice little dessert. It was a little dry but of course, it still tasted good.
Finally the staff is super friendly. They were helpful and made sure I was happy with my experience.
I would definitely come here again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Michael E.Denver, CO3251938Nov 4, 2021

Came here to get some work done and have some lunch. I ordered the avocado pork burrito with green Chile. Was pretty disappointed with the burrito. It was super liquidy which made it hard to eat and very soggy.
They do have a lot of tables inside and WiFi. However there were lots of flys and its pretty dark inside. I didn't end up staying very long.
Side note I've also had their coffee and muffins before, which weren't bad. I think In the future I'll just come here to pick up coffee to go.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Julie R.Phoenix, AZ17172Jul 21, 2021
Absolutely horrific!!!! We stopped here hoping for a good lunch and after reading the reviews I was hopeful. But no, the worst place I have been to. No air conditioning and it's 90+ degrees, women's bathroom had no soap or paper towels, and then the food was the worst we've had. The pictures show you exactly what we got. One is supposed to be an Italian sandwich that to me looks like a school lunch and the other is a club wrap that came half ripped with bad lettuce in it. AND it took 10 minutes to get these two terrible items. I would tell everyone to never go here!!!
