Gourmeto's Pizza

So I am in Orlando for a work conference and I saw this place on the map and checked out the Yelp reviews and thought I would head over myself. I believe the owner was the guy helping me. Very nice and courteous and a good conversationalist while I waited on my pizza.

I ordered a Large (they don't sell a small and they were out of Medium dough) pepperoni and sausage pizza. I figured I could munch on it for a few days. I'm sad to say I didn't get to enjoy the pizza while hot because when I arrived back to my hotel I actually got stuck in the elevator (I cannot make this up and you can find more details in my review of the hotel after I check out). I probably didn't consume my pizza until about an hour after receiving it. The sausage was really good and the pepperoni was pepperoni. I enjoyed the pizza and ate more than I thought I would.

I know the spot is small, however I would have liked to see a chair or two inside for those waiting for pizzas. I walked to the nearby 7/11 to make time go by a little. I think in total it may have taken 12-15 minutes (there was an order in front of mine).

Pizza was average good crust little weak on the toppings.

I don't know what went wrong with our online order with app, but our salad did not arrive and I ordered two pizzas the same size and received a small and a large to different styles of pizzas we dealt with it we're on vacation .
The bill was less than I paid, so I still need to check into that showed no tip on the bill we tipped .

Had a fantastic experience at this establishment! The pizza is absolutely amazing. Something about the sauce though and mozzarella really stood out and made for a great pie. I was a little apprehensive because I saw a review picture with a burnt small pie. That must've been a one off situation because mine could not have been better. Joe was super polite and helpful. We need more mom and pop restaurants like this with food that is to die for. Seriously, you need to make this a stop next time you're in Orlando. It's that good. Apparently this is where Aerosmith gets their pizza when they are in town. How freaking cool is that!? He's got photos with them from visits all autographed.

I paid $34 bucks for two 14 inch pies. I went back in because I thought it was a mistake. Nope. He said we have the best quality...Nope, taste like a frozen pizza. Find another place. Over priced for not so good pizza.

Wow! This place really is a hole in the wall but the pizza is as good as it gets. The dough is perfect and the owner doesn't go cheap on sauce either. Good quality cheese.

I will stress, this is a pick up place only. If you are looking for atmosphere, go somewhere else.

I was exploring the area around the hotel where I was staying and came around a plaza with some food options. I noticed some people that I recognized outside and was told to try out the pizza inside. The owner claimed that it'd be the best pizza I'd find around, and that it was authentic NY style pizza. Being from NY, I had to try it.

I placed an order for an XXL chicken, mushrooms, and peppers. Being that it was only him in the storefront, he was pretty quick. He was operating the cash registers and making all the food. While he took orders and waited for the pizza to bake, he entertained everyone with stories and anecdotes about his father. He's definitely a quirky man, who is good at entertaining others.

He was definitely right about one thing - his pizza is the best around, but it's also Florida. So, split the difference? However, I wouldn't co-sign his authentic NY style claim.

Great pizza and garlic knots! Owner was working alone so they couldn't deliver across the street to the hotel we stayed in. Very fast when he made it but was a little cold on the personality side but the pizza was HOT and fresh.

This place is so bad that the sign now just says "Pizza." Went there a few months ago and started reading the menu. When I finally went to order the older guy working there stated that he only has pizza. To forget about everything else and order pizza. I asked why he had a menu with other items if he only sells pizza. No response. A while after I figured okay since this is solely a pizza joint I will go and buy just a few slices. Guy had a fit stating that he only sells whole large pizzas. What a clown. He had an attitude about it as though having a fake menu up and the ability to only sell whole pizzas only is acceptable. Wouldn't try his pizza if it was free.

If I could leave a negative rating; this place would get a -10. The owner is a complete prick. Called to order my family an Extra Large pizza to be delivered literally across the street but the idiot of an owner wants to yell and say that he can't do that because he is only a one man show and has to lock the door to do deliveries. Said if I order 5 or 10 pizzas he would make the delivery. Sounds like a personal problem and if you can't afford delivery staff; you shouldn't offer delivery or even be in the pizza business. Get some business sense or close up shop. With the inconsiderate prick attitude the owner has; this business will not last.
