I've been going to Dr. Gordon for 7 years. This dentist was a referral from a friend of mine.

He is an excellent dentist and someone you can trust. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a new dentist.

I was a patient with Dr. Gordon. He did great job as a dentist. I did two fillings there. However I am extremely sensitive to bite & had to go back more than once for bite adjustments. He told me in one of the appointments that he could not see me anymore as he doesn't know how to charge me for those adjustments (to his credit he did not) . I was very shocked. I understand its a business but he is in health care profession.
Overall, good dentist but was not happy how I was treated at the end.

I found Dr. Gordon about a year ago when I needed a second opinion. My regular dentist who I loved had retired and the new dentist I found told me that I had 5 cavities that needed filling immediately. This seemed odd since I've only ever had two cavities in my entire life, I had just seen a dentist six months prior, and had been in excellent dental health for the past several years. Oh, and the the dental hygienist at the practice that told me I needed 5 new fillings, managed to chip the bonding on my front tooth. So I needed a new dentist that I could trust, immediately!

I'm so glad that I found the Gordon Center! It turns out that I didn't actually have 5 cavities and my teeth were fine (surprise!) aside from the damage to my front tooth from the previous practice. After a thorough exam and an excellent cleaning, Dr. Gordon expertly matched the bonding to my front tooth and restored my smile! That was six months ago and I just returned from a second check up and cleaning. The entire experience was fabulous! Billie at the front desk is wonderfully helpful and efficient and I had another excellent cleaning with Nila, a very thorough, experienced and gentle hygienist. As per Dr. Gordon, I'm still cavity free! This is an excellent dental practice and I give them my highest recommendation!

Both dr gordons are great dentists. The hygienist, nicole, is excellent. I highly recommend and trust their dental expertise HOWEVER i must comment on a very troublesome experience when my appointment was over.
I asked to take my bill home , as usual , to pay within( their request) of 30 days. This is what i have done for years. The receptionist informed me that my husband told HER ( 2 months ago)
that i should pay before leaving by a credit card . I ,again ,requested a bill to take home and pay within 30 days.
Immediately , after i left the office , the receptionist emailed my husband at work . She reported (to my husband) that i refused to pay the bill with a credit card , and refused to follow my husbands instructions to do so .
First and foremost, i am a 68 yr old woman . If i request to take a bill home i do not expect a receptionist to report to my spouse.
Secondly, there is no policy or signage in the office to pay my bill at the time of services. I have taken a bill and paid within 30 days for years.
I called the office and expressed my anger. I felt my privacy was violated and this was inappropriate on many levels .
I rec'd a call from the dentist , dr gordon, who informed me that he would not treat my husband or i any longer. I did try to discuss this with dr gordon before expressing my displeasure to the receptionist but he was not available.
Again, great dentists , poor privacy boundaries .

I read the reviews on Yelp and decided to go see this dentist to remove a fragment of a nut that was stuck in the back of my wisdom tooth. I was clear about what happened but they still wanted to take 2 X-Rays before removing the piece of cashew.
They charge your credit card and then they submit a claim to your insurance.. but you have to pay up front. Since I worked at BlueCross for 5 years, that seemed odd. My insurance paid in full which was good.
As I was leaving the office I scheduled a dental cleaning.
At my appointment I was told that prior to my dental cleaning I had to take 18 X-Rays. The explanation came down to liability. I have no cavities and have no major dental problems.
They have an X-Ray panorama machine standing right at the end of the corridor but they were not able to provide me an explanation as to why that would not be sufficient.
This is the first time since I can remember that a dentist required a full set of detailed X-Rays for a dental cleaning.

I wish I could give Dr. David Gordon more than five stars. I actually flew back from the west coast to see him after my new dentist told me I needed 8 fillings. I couldn't believe it so I had them send my X-rays to Dr. Gordon's office and have him look it over. I didn't need any. When I came in to see Dr. Gordon he did not recommend any unnecessary procedures, as my previous dentist did. He explained everything that he was doing along the way. He is very personable, knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I felt completely confident in his care. And happily commuting from California when I need to. When you find great care like this it's worth it.

I have been going to Dr. Leonard Gordon for more than 15 years and have been seeing Dr. David Gordon since he joined the practice. Since the moment I first walked in their door, I felt comfortable, which is saying a lot, because I am not usually a fan of dentists. But they are different in the greatest way possible. From the doctors, to the hygienists, to Billie the receptionist and office manager, it feels more like meeting family friends than going to the doctors. I also would not normally go to a dentist that doesn't take insurance; I never had in the past, but for Dr.'s Gordon I do. I first met them when another dentist recommended lots of work and I wanted a second opinion. And Dr. Gordon explained to me that I actually didn't need this work, and likely was only being recommended the work because it was covered by my insurance. And it was basically a light switch that went off in my head.

Billie fills out all the forms and paperwork for my insurance, so it's really not any additional headache at all. The reason I have decided to write a review of the practice now is because I had some work completed recently that my insurance company didn't want to pay for it, so the office wrote a letter to the insurance company on my behalf and I ended up getting reimbursed. Which is just above and beyond what I would expect, so I wanted to recognize them for going so far out of their way to help me out. Even though I have moved to the west coast, I am keeping Dr.'s Leonard and David Gordon as my dentists and I will schedule my future appointments around when I return to town to visit family.

I have been going to Dr. Gordon since I was in the 5th grade. Having that kind of longevity with your clients really makes a difference! I recently went after a 4 year absence on my part (awful I know) for some new x-rays and a regular teeth cleaning. The dental assistant did a fine job cleaning everything up and getting all the tartar removed. I was also able to talk to her about my permanent bottom retainer that I have had since middle school when I had braces, and whether or not it could be removed. Both the assistant and Dr. Gordon's son, also a dentist there now were very informative a reassuring of the pros and cons or removing this and helped me come to a decision that was suitable for me. He said that if that time comes that I ever did want to remove it, they can provide Invisoline to substitute as a removable retainer. Dr. Gordon also pointed out the things they looks for in x-rays that might be warning signs for issues in the future.
All in all I felt excellent about this last visit, and am glad to be back on track with a dentist's office that is professional, educational and efficient. Already have my next visit scheduled!

Took my son to see Dr. David Gordon after he tore his frenum, the flap of skin between the gums and lip. The doctor was great, even made him laugh in all his pain. The diagnosis was quick and easy. My son will be fine which is a great relief.

An amazing dentist, great chair side manner, an artist. Dr. Gordon and his staff are top quality. His cosmetic dentistry is impeccable. He is patient, has a great eye for perfecting crowns and takes every precaution to get the case just right. I am a neurotic when it comes to perfection, as I came in with pictures of teeth that I liked. Since all my crowns are being recreated, I want them just right. The temps he placed in my mouth were incredible. I crumbled up my pictures and threw them in the trash. He read my mind before I can show him what I wanted. I cannot even begin to recommend him enough. His office is beautifully renovated and all his equipment is state of the art. Perfectionist, kind, honest, trustworthy, and patient are descriptive words that come to mind. Amazing dentist.
