Golden China Edinburg

Food was okay at best, would not recommend the rice. Dessert bar was ridiculous. Only one waitress and it was fairly busy, she was nice but took forever to get drink refills. Guy at the counter was super rude. Didn't acknowledge us when checking out and we even said thank you twice with no response. Don't recommend this place at all. Place is really outdated as well. Price was lower than most places but doesn't say much IMO.

Husband & I decided to give this restaurant a try for the first time. The food was outstanding with many different options to choose from. Our waitress was amazing. Making sure to be on top with our drink refills & clearing used plates. We will definitely be back again for sure.

Excellent eclectic Asian dishes. All your favorites, including a SUSHI all you can eat !!!!

It's not high end, expensive sushi, but all the dishes are well made and fresh. I have eaten her at least a dozen times over the last year. I have never had bad food or tough meat or bad customer service.

And, the prices are amazing. Bring a date and spend around $30. Plenty of parking right outside the restaurant. Plenty of comfortable seating. Staff works hard, you can tell.

My Dr. Pepper was always full. My belly was always filled, and my pocketbook was never exhausted. A must eat, regular hang out for dinner.

I'm not sure who commented that the buffet was great and had fresh food because none of it was fresh. I would definitely not come back.

Drive thru now Everything on the menu is on the marquee and the prices are still commenserate within the neighborhood great price with little wait time

The food is okay. It's not crowded. The decor is old. Nice staff. Not much to rave about but it's a good lunch once a month.

We haven't been to Golden China for over 10 years.
Tonight I tried the takeout. They offered me to get food off the buffet but selections are limited: jalapeño chicken, jalapeño beef, etc. I ordered off the menu which has more options and my family enjoyed it.
Portions are generous and food is tasty. Cheese wontons are decent.
Prices are reasonable.
They have an open floor plan. Looks family friendly but no special ambiance. Mostly a place to eat.

Food was good but no kung poa chicken very disappointing. Need bigger selection of sushi

The won tons are the best out of every place I've been to from Edinburg to McAllen. The price is fair and the service is good. Honestly the choices are limited for buffet but for what it's worth what is on the buffet table is good. Unlike some places that uses spaghetti noodles and Panda Express that also does not have lo mien noodles these guys do. If your hungry and like Chinese food and haven't been I would definitely recommend it. They had given out some cool Chinese scroll calendars New Years, they no longer have but I think they should get some more. Go in hungry come out full win win !

Love this place. My wife loves the chicken strips . And now bringing my 1 yr old baby daughter to eat there. But it even got better today. Charlie was the best. Was so caring of his customers and gave my daughter a clucky stuff animal and my daughter was so happy. That was incredible customer service. Never ever seen that especially at a fast food place. If everyone is like Charlie your business will get even better. Thank you Charlie for a great night.
