Gold Room

Came here this past weekend and it was awesome! Kudos to the dj that was playing on Friday night. His music choice was 10/10. From hip hop, reggeaton, cumbia, banda, you name it. The service was good for having 1 bartender. She was very nice and attentive. Can't wait to be back again

Haven't been to Gold Room in years, better than I remember it. Small dive bar off Sunset. Bartender Tony was friendly, attentive and quick to take our drink order. His cocktails were very very well made. He takes his time and you can tell enjoys the craft. Tried the Double Trouble and Pineapple Express. Double Trouble is absolutely delicious - 10/10. Pineapple Express was just as good, but def loaded (has mezcal & tequila). It'll have you feeling good real quick. Drink prices are reasonable priced for LA. Same for their daily happy hour menu. Very solid beer menu too. They have a jukebox you can pay to control the music which is kinda cool. Get to hear a variety of music genres cause of it. Solid bar for a quick beer or cocktail.

Kevin, the bartender was extremely friendly and had no problems greeting me right as I entered part has the classic feel I'm a good old fashion died part strong drinks, cheap food, real good, cheap food!

I had to go for the tacos on Tuesdays you get a nice special three tacos for five dollars and you won't even have to wait six minutes to get them...

The meat is locally sourced from a taco stand right up the street... And the flavor is just absolutely amazing! Come in and say hi to Kevin. He's a real cool dude in the bar plays great music!

Stopped by Gold Room for our very last drink of the long night on a Saturday. This bar stays poppin' until closing!

I didn't get the name of my bartender but he was friendly and take the time to make me an excellent whiskey sour (with egg whites!), even though it was a very busy night.

Drink prices are fair for quality drinks. I will definitely return!

Shout out to Melissa for always being polite to me and my posse!!! Dj ALTAR keep doing your thing man !!!! Just kind of wish those Aguachiles were back with epic shrimp Tacos !!! Pretty clean restrooms, relaxed chill bar depending on who is there. Chris brought the house down this Halloween, Love it !!!

Not sure what was going on here but this was one of the worse experiences I ever had in my entire life!
It was my baby sisters birthday & we went in to grave a few beers. We sat down and literally no one was at the bar to serve us, we waited a couple minutes and still nothing. The only thing we got was these ugly looks from two men on opposite side of the bar just staring at us to leave. It was really uncomfortable & weird! Don't recommend this place, very unprofessional...

A divey bar in Echo Park! They have Happy Hour Monday thru Friday from 6 to 9 pm. Pretty dimly lit with good music and bartender service was pretty good and friendly. It's a popular place before a Dodgers game or concert. Wouldn't go out of my way to visit, but if you're in the area bar hopping then it's a good one to add in.

This place is pure gold. The guy bartending Bradley said he was also the creative director. At one point i saw him shaking up 3 cocktails at the same time!! The other bartender Dona had big curly hair and made a mean michelada. The bar back Tony seemed sad and lonely, but later he became happy once the DJ showed up. The DJ got on and after that it was epic. Some girl Meli was twerking to every song in any genre. Fast, slow, in the middle. All in all a great night.!!

I don't want to sound old, but I miss the good old days when this place had a legit vibe and people were. occasionally stabbed. At least then you felt like somebody cared. Now it feels lazy and listless. The peanuts are still great. Please bring back the jukebox, mood lighting, booths and the good vibes.
