This place is kind of a disappointment. I kind of expected it to be larger on the inside and believe me, it could benefit from being larger.
Even though it is on the small side in here, you can still find all that you need and still be in and out fairly quickly.
Not much more else to say about this place.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Randy P.SoMa, San Francisco, CA0473Dec 30, 2022
Absolutely clueless people work here. Gave me bad information over the phone and made special trip for nothing.

I can promise you that you will never find a potato chip that is hotter than Gibble's. If you think biting into them is hot, then you should try the aftertaste of the potato chips, which absolutely burns your pallet. The company had gone out of business for a while until it was repurchased. I was on eBay and I purchased four bags of potato chips for $25, which I thought was a bargain for the chips I was worried they might be stale but I had found the company was back in business and much to my delight they have the original recipe. In fact, I'll put this on par with the great Twinkie scare of 2012. In any event I was able to find the fresh bags at the local Giant Eagle and I purchased four bags of them I believe they were about $3.99. But it is the best potato chip investment that you'll ever make. The drawback is that it totally destroys my diet and I can only keep them at the house for so long before everyone decides to eat them.
Cherikee Red Soda is another delight. Plus the company apparently spells as well as I do. It is simply a carbonated cherry cola with a picture of an Indian on it. Let me digress here because there may be something inherently magical in the Indian culture. Notwithstanding the current Cleveland Indians, Washington Redskins debate what I can tell you is that when you see an Indian on a food package, it is outstanding in taste. Whether it is tobacco, or Indian Pumpkin seeds which are amazing by the way, I need to find more of those. Ok, so back to Cherikee red soda. This is the best cherry soda out there. In a previous trip to Pittsburgh which they still sell this, I had purchased several bottles most of which went flat because I was in my diet quandary of drinking more cola and actually not getting any additional weight. However, combining a full course meal of Indian cola with Gibble's potato chips is something that you have to put on your bucket list before you go.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Susan T.Monroeville, PA824681063Jul 11, 2017
This used to be my primary GE. Change jobs, change grocery stores, cause that's what women do!
This is a smaller store and the only challenge is an odd parking lot, so be mindful of the traffic pattern.
The store may be small, but I was able to check everything off my list and that is saying something, as I was decidedly filling a Mexican Night order of supplies.
Here's a shout out to a home - town type staff: so nice to see all of your friendly faces and hear your polite greetings, that does NOT happen everywhere.
This is a great store that carries a great inventory. And provided a great trip down memory lane along with my groceries.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jj N.Pittsburgh, PA024Jan 27, 2019

Being that i live close i have no complaints on service and the food and wait have been acceptable. Just found mold on the grapes i bought and that takes it to a four star easy.

Deli people are unpleasant and annoyed to have to do their job....sliced expensive cheese incorrectly, making it nearly unusable...lazy to the point that they won't take the time to zip the bags closed before returning them to you.....flies in the donut case....few checkouts, they push the self-checkout heavily, which is idiotic because they are promoting their own replacements

This is my favorite Giant Eagle. It's the perfect size. It has most of the items I'd ever use, and I can get in and out pretty fast. They always have plenty of checkout lines open too, so there is never usually more than one person in front of you when you're checking out which is nice. I can do all my shopping and check out in the time it takes to just stand in the check out line at wal-mart.
