Doors didn't open timely, then had to wait in the bar area for 40 minutes before we could go to the back venue where the performance occurred 30 minutes late. We did have a fantastic server. The best thing about that place.

I think it's undisputed that Old Main is the most iconic landmark in Fayetteville. If we were to come up with a runner-up icon, however, George's would have to be it. George's has been open for almost a century, and after spending some time there, you'll find out why it has withstood the test of time.
George's is known for hosting stunning musical acts. George's has a mixture of big names and lesser knowns, but as far as the state of Arkansas goes, George's has the most consistent quality lineup in the state. You'll find an 80's cover band one night followed by a Red Dirt country icon the next. George's will host big stars before they become big, big stars once they have become big, and regional legends. Good acts keep coming back to George's because of the atmosphere and how well-run the place is.
I cannot say enough good things about the bar staff. They make you feel like family. Granted, on their especially busy nights, you're not going to get to chat, but they'll still take care of you.
You have to go to a happy hour on Friday night. It's a who's who of longtime Northwest Arkansas residents when was a fun but laid-back vibe.
If you want to be a true Fayetteville local, you have to stop by George's.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Towle D.Fayetteville, AR01Apr 24, 2024
Tried to get in with my 18 year old ID and the bouncers were both rude and would it let me in. They instead scanned my ticket and then refused my entry. Would not recommend this place is terrible.

horrible venue. got to meet a security person there that was on a total ego trip. He was too old to be working in a bar anyway so I can understand why he was angry. Just be careful going there and bring your patience. better venues than this POS.

We bought tickets to come see a concert. We get in and every table in the whole place has "reserved" on the top of them. What is the point of buying tickets to a concert when you're going to reserve every table in the whole place? I do not really recommend coming here until they get this figured out, do not come.

Iconic bar. Excellent cocktails. Great popcorn! These bartenders pay attention to quality drinks. Such a fun location.

Rude staff and their ticket policies make no sense. What's the point of giving people armbands if they can't use them to get back in? Why should I have to buy another ticket to regain entry?

I hit George's when I am in town for football games. It's a great places to get a drink and listen to music.
They have two stages. One on the front and another (main act) in the back. Your cover charge gets you access to both bands. For the bigger acts (main acts in the back), you can reserve a table. Without a reservation, you are basically standing to enjoy the music.
Drink prices are reasonable and bands I have seen there have been very good. Highly recommend this place it you want good drinks at a good price, and want to enjoy some live music.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - A P.Magnolia, AR012041Mar 13, 2021
Not sure what it's normally like, but I tried to go last weekend and had to wait in line outside. Did the covid temp check and ID but then I had to wait in another line to get to the back (which I never did because we left). While in line, I could hear music in the back and I saw people with drinks, but nobody ever came by to see if we (people in line) wanted to order something. The lack of service was crazy. You'd think they'd want to sell a few drinks to everyone of age who walked in the door.

George's has a fun atmosphere and a friendly staff. I see potential in George's being much more. Unfortunately, this is where the positive review ends. I purchased tickets for an 8PM show. The show (Arkansauce) did not begin until 10PM. I spoke with the staff and they told me this was a very regular occurrence. I appreciate the honesty of the staff (what has saved George's from a 1 star rating). In American time sensitive culture this mismanagement is unprofessional, disrespectful, and totally inexcusable. I can understand an isolated instance, but a frequent event, no. As the venue, I hold George's accountable for the show start time. This is easily fixed by reducing the band's pay 50% for every 30 minutes they are late and writing this into their contract.
Until George's takes control of their business, I will not be returningHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
