General Produce

We have produce transported by General Produce and go to their Sacramento facility 2-3 times a week. I do not know where they find their employees but I wish I could tap into the same pool of talent. Every person we deal with is cheerful, efficient and beyond competent. I only wish we had this excellent customer service with other companies.
I asked the young man during yesterday's pickup why everyone there was so nice. He told me that it was because the management treated them very well and with respect.

Never ever go this place is suck no friendly they are rood . if you have delivery here do not book the load for this place you will be waiting at least 16 hours before they give you door and after that they take 4 to five hours to get you empty never come back again here people not good here

Always horrible customer service. Whenever I go pick up the veggies, the people there are never friendly. I just called right now to order some veggies and the guy name mike who took my order gave me horrible attitude.

If you're in the restaurant business DO NOT USE General Produce. They are the worst produce service company in the Sacramento area. Our orders never come in before lunch, and our service begins at 10am. We are a vegan restaurant and 3/4 of our food is vegetables.
GP always has an "excuse" for their terrible customer service.
We put out order in at 230 pm 12/3 it's now 1130 12/4 and our order has not arrived.
Again worst produce company ever.

This company has the wrong philosophy for doing business. Sales cover up everything. Even a will call order short of a minimum 5 case expectation. There is no transportation or delivery involved, just the sale.
Now you will not have our sales. This company only wants the "Large accounts." If you are a small location, then don't even bother with this company. I guess they have too much business to take new clients. Remember General Produce sales affect your bottom line, without them all your fixed costs rise. We won't even cover the lack of professionalism the sales staff provides.

I'm Commander of Ch. 549 Military Order of the Purple Heart, Monterey Bay. For 28 years we have provided food baskets to needy veterans and active duty service members. Just finished our Thanksgiving and Christmas Basket Projects. Each holiday we prep 84 baskets (each feeds 10 people) and deliver to our needy recipients. We purchase the food at the Ft. Ord Commissary. This 2015 we received some very welcomed aid: General Produce donated, for each holiday 84 bags of apples (10x) and 84 bags of mixed lettuce. All without cost! Many groups profess to "be there for our vets" but regrettably fall short. General Produce was not one of those! To my fellow Purple Heart recipients and the grateful folks who received the food baskets General Produce is truly in a League of Champions.

General Produce is the best produce service company in the Sacramento area. They are well known for great service, quality and dependability! Thanx General!

Don't ever place any orders here, especially if it's for your business. They're not reliable at all and they lie about the count of your produce. They will rip you off and then have you purchase more on site. Make sure you record the descriptions they give you for each item. Sharon lied amount produce count and made me buy more product on site because I would not have time to go looking for produce elsewhere with with enough time. When I tried to talk to her and show her the notes I took when I spoke to her, she denied all of it. She's very unprofessional and rude. She's going to take advantage and just make you spend money with this company for no good reason at all. Another lady had to step in and try to get me a better deal for the extra produce I had to purchase. I needed all this produce for the next day and that's the only reason why I had to take the produce with me. They're really not out to serve the customer, they're out to rip customers and businesses off.
