I tried this place while visiting New York and absolutely loved the food! Everything tasted amazing
I love the vibe here! It's perfect for a romantic date night or girls night out. At night the lights are dim and the music they played wasn't super loud. It is a bit small so definitely make reservations if you plan on going here. For parking you could probably try to find a garage or park along the street. Since New York is always so busy my party and I found street parking about 3 min away.
The food here is fantastic! Everything was so tasty For the appetizer we ordered the fried calamari. The calamari wasn't the best I had but it wasn't bad at all. For the entree I ordered the Vodka pasta with no prosciutto. My friend ordered the Chicken Parmesan and my sister ordered The Fisherman pasta. Everything was seasoned well and tasted great! The portions were perfect as well. We ordered a few drinks and they were great!
The service here wasn't that great. Our drinks and food took a while to get to our table. This is the only reason I am giving this place 4/5 stars. I still recommend checking this place out!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 15, 2022
Came here solely based on the reviews from google/yelp. Most of the other places nearby were booked, so maybe that was a first indication if this place had openings?? The vibe in here is definitely fun for a date night, and the back had a sunroof too, which was cute.
Their food - great variety of options to choose from. They offer bread with vinegar/oil, definitely not common in most places in NYC.
Their pasta was kind of oily. The funghi pasta I got was pure oil on the bottom, but it was definitely flavorful. I thought they could've been a bit more generous with their portions.
Their baby rice balls werent too cheesy, definitely expecting more for it being some sort of an arancini.
Their fritto misto was good! Definitely perfectly fried, and their sauces were quite good with it as well.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 2078323Feb 3, 2023
Came in for lunch because it was in soho and nearby. The waiter was super nice and decor was super vibey. I ordered steak, pasta, calamari, tiramisu, and a chocolate brownie. The steak and pasta was okay. But the calamari was so good!! It was made wit a marinara sauce super delicious. And finishing it off with the tiramisu was a great idea. Super moist and not too crazy sweet! I most definitely recommend.

I was really excited to come to Galli. The ambiance is wonderful and inviting, love the neon sign in the back as well. My friends and I thought that our experience could've been better though.
I'm going to be super picky and just point out that the bread wasn't my favorite, little to dense for my liking. The drinks were good but our entrees were just okay. One person ordered the carbonara, but it was too oily and didn't pack as much flavor as they were hoping for. My friend ate maybe 3 forkfuls before she sent it back and just opted for truffle fries instead. We were hoping this would be comp'd seeing as only a few bites were taken before being sent back but it wasn't. The burger and chicken parmigiana were solid choices. The Cavatelli was a little longer than we were use to seeing but that didn't affect the taste of the dish.
In the end we left feeling like we wanted but willing to comeback again in the future.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 151161226Mar 19, 2022
This place has so much promise! They are great for groups and were very accommodating for a large party dinner reservation.
One of the girls even spilled her drink and they brought her a new one! However that was the highlight and it was all downhill from there.
The appetizers came out the same time as our food which is never a good sign.
We were missing one dish and they let us know it was accidentally sent to the wrong table. Another salad came out with the wrong protein.
The worst part was the steaks were cold. Not just room temperature but they had a slight chill.
Overall the food tasted good but it was hard to get over the poor service and the lack of care in how the food came out.
We brought up our concerns to the manager and they did offer us a free dessert platter - see the photos. It was a nice offer but would of rather they just took off something we already had on the bill.
Overall I'd say the food was decent but service and care left a lot to be desired.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 2, 2022
This restaurant is beautiful but super crowded. Someone kept stepping on my bag next to me which was annoying. I made a reservation for me and my friend for 3pm and it was totally packed even though it was between lunch and dinner. Definitely make a reservation for this spot if you want to try it! The service was good but slow (I think they were super busy because of all the people there; maybe they were understaffed?).
My friend didn't like her cacio e pepe. She said it was bland and not enough pepper; she thought it needed at least 5x the amount of pepper. I liked my entree, but we were craving truffle so we ordered the truffle fries but there was barely any truffle flavor. :( so that was disappointing (and it was expensive). The drinks were lovely though and both of us enjoyed our cocktails!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 5, 2022

Cozy Italian spot in the heart of soho!
Great ambiance and very helpful staff. I came here in a Saturday night with a friend and very much enjoyed our experience!
We ordered the pesto and vodka pastas which arrived steaming hot and packed with flavor.
We ordered berry cocktails with St Germain. These were well-crafted and had a refreshing flavor.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Racheal O.Staten Island, NY21129214Aug 2, 2022
3 random pieces of bread just dropped in a basket. That's what the waitress gave to me upon sitting down. Literally. The most random pieces as if they were just taken from LO's. It just appeared very scanty. When ask about how many pieces. I was told it "depends" and if I wanted more. The next customers that came in received a basket of bread.
I don't want to take away from this beautiful restaurant but c'mon. It was just distasteful. The bread basket I received appeared as if someone had already been eating it and I received the left overs. Even the small container that the oil came in had parmesan cheese under it as if it was sitting on someone's plate already. I definitely ate it though lol. Nonetheless I was taken aback.
For drinks, I ordered The Mexican (pretty good & strong) & for food the Gamberi dish (better when I had it before. This time the shrimp was not fresh at all). I really like this establishment and want to give it another chance. Hopefully it'll be a better experience (with the bread lol).Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
