My husband and I drove up from Washington, DC to my parents in South Amboy. We were both pretty much starving. I suggested the trip to Frank's since we wanted pizza, wanted to eat in and simply not eat at a chain.
First, there were about 100 Sayreville high school students there. They were fighting and the staff acted as if they didn't notice or care. Once fists started flying, I should have walked out.
Service was VERY slow, but the staff had time to chat with each table about what was on the "Shark Tank" which was playing on the TVs in the dinning room. The pizza was okay. It was marginally good. The restaurant also appeared to be fairly dirty.
Not on my list of places to return.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David D.Sayreville, NJ01Jul 5, 2020

Well was in ShopRite and wanted to pick up a slice of pizza at Franks It was 8:55 as I walked up to go in two employees turned off the lights and closed up
Why would you close before 9pm on a Friday night in a busy shopping center
No worries though Nunzios was opened and packed just a mile and a half up the roadHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Apr 6, 2014Previous reviewCalled to order a medium salad pizza asked asked if wanted a large for a dollar more. I said sure 11.95 vs 14.95. I get here and they charge me $18 when I ask about the price she said oh prices went up. Should have mentioned that to me on phone. Place is always dead and no delivery so guess they have to do that to get in some business. Better Italian in Sayreville : Villa Venezia and Rustoni's

Frank's is conveniently located next to Shoprite, so if you order food to pick up, you can run into Shoprite for anything you need. I enjoy the plain pizza here...it's one of the best I've tasted.

We ate here one day when we were in the area. Place was empty, it was extremely hot in the shop (was august), and it seemed the staff was high school kids. Despite these things the siciliana pie we ordered was contrary to our surprise and very good. I would eat here again as the food was good, if they had more of an atmosphere it probably would be a nicer place to eat opposed to being tagged a takeout only spot on my list.

Pretty good place, but it used to be better. I guess the current owners changed the recipe.

Wasn't even acknowledged for a good 5 minutes because the owner was too busy having a personal conversation with his preferred customers. Thanks for that. No greeting nor "have a nice day". Rather go somewhere else
