Hungry for breakfast?
Hungry for lunch?
Hankering for brunch?
Dinner time meal?
Whatever the meal, Franklin Street will deliver every single time. Staff is super friendly and goes out of their way to accommodate. The owner, Dana, is so passionate about what she does and her passion comes through in her food.
For dinner, I HIGHLY recommend the sous vide half chicken OR the crab cakes! Honestly there isn't a single thing on the menu that isn't absolutely delish!!!
A word of warning - if you come during their peak hours (especially breakfast on the weekends) be prepared for a wait. Food tickets can run up to 40-45 minutes. Bring your patience. Order a couple extra drinks and enjoy your time.
This place is such a gem in the Johnstown restaurant scene!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 7, 2021Previous reviewOne word: BREAKFAST.
This place does an absolutely amazing breakfast on the weekends, but get there early as tables fill FAST. I don't think there's a single thing on the menu that isn't delish!!! Biscuits and gravy? Yum. Eggs? Yes please! Bacon? Got it! Sausage? You know it! Pancakes the size of hubcaps? Got that too! STUFFED French toast? Absolutely! The best marble rye toast? OMG. Breakfast sandwiches? Yes, that too! Ok... I think you get the idea here.
Anyway, along side the food are the ahem... adult ... drinks. Did someone say mimosa BUCKET? (Oh yeah... I went there!) seriously do your self a favor order the mimosa bucket for you and your friends. It's amazing!!!
Staff is a little short handed, so be patient and kind. The waitstaff want nothing more than for you to have a great experience! A must go any time of day! - Oct 29, 2023
My go-to for breakfast when I'm in town! Today I tried the special pumpkin stuffed French Toast and am sooooo glad I did! Ooey gooey cream cheese pumpkin goodness stuffed inside of perfectly cooked French Toast topped with walnuts. Heaven! Paired perfectly with coffee and I added bacon on the side. It was so filling I skipped lunch! And loved that all of the staff were in costumes for Halloween, even at 9 AM. Just a comfortable atmosphere with no frills makes this a top choice for a relaxing meal.

I was so excited to try the soup flight. We got there when they opened at 5, placed our order shortly after. Wasn't a complicated order, 3 soup flights, 1 app, and 4 sandwiches. We waited about 45 minutes or so for the appetizer. We waited about 2 hours for our meals, I understand that it's busy and the new concept of soup flights is supposed to bring in business, which it has, but the fact that several tables were seated and ordered after us had already eaten and left before we even received our food was absurd. I'm usually pretty patient when it comes to waiting, I understand being busy, but if you're going to introduce a new and very popular menu item, you might want to reconsider how to handle the customer volume. The table next to us got soup flights, that's it, and they waited about 45 minutes or so for their order.. we ended up taking our food to go because we couldn't wait any longer after being there for 2 hours and just receiving our meals. We have given this place so many chances and we have been disappointed each time. I was extremely interested in the soup flights, hoping this would change my mind and be a recurring customer, but that didn't happen. I'm disappointed in this place.

I was so happy to finally try breakfast. The waitress was terrible, it was not busy at all. 2 guys at the bar and a couple other guys sitting at a table. I told her first time there. she didn't seem to care. asked about the crepes and she was like oh I don't know there not on menu. we ordered the food. took awhile, which ok. waited awhile to check on us.. we needed ketchup for my sons potatoes and he never got his French toast. she said "oh my bad" never did get French toast until we were completely done eating. not good customer service at all! we eat out at many local bars and restaraunts. I will not be back. I'm huge on customer service !

So HAPPY to find one of my old favorites open this Sunday morning wonderful omelette! Just about as perfect as it can be done in a grill.
Always great, friendly place. With good service + skilled cooks. Fireplace. But the FOOD! YUMMMMMM !

The service at this establishment is horrific. The "hostess" on more than one occasion has literally turned her back on us once rudely informing me that their (mostly empty restaurant) had no room for us.
There is one (relatively tall very thin) waitress who has literally cried when taking our order because she was 'too overwhelmed' - with 1 other table and 3-4 people at the bar.
Will never, ever recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Barbara K.Johnstown, PA083Jan 9, 2023
The food is really good here, the waitresses are very friendly and do their best with the staffing issues, however the owner herself needs some training in customer service and customer interaction!! We are there normally once a week, and she has never once even smiled as she was walking past us. As an owner, you would think she would make a point to at least say hello and how is everything. She never even smiles , unless it someone she knows. We are at the point that we don't even like supporting her business because of her attitude. She should get some pointers from Scott at Scott's by Dam and Dave at The Phoenix.
Try smiling Dana and greeting your paying customers who are supporting you!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jerry B.Johnstown, PA06Oct 1, 2023
First time we went there the other night for dinner and was surprisingly blown away. Everything was excellent. Went back this morning for breakfast and the same thing! Great food and service. Highly recommended!

I really wanted to like the thanksgiving menu. Have been to so many other places and this was closer and the more appealing option when having to transport 2 elderly people and one kid under 5. For starters, walked in and it felt like a sauna. With as many bodies as were piled in there, the heat should have never been turned on. Then, after we were seated we waited over 30 minutes for someone to get our drink order. Without getting up to ask, not sure they ever would have ever came. Then just got the bare minimum, didn't dare ask for water. Don't mind waiting a bit, but when other tables seated after your table get their drink orders, while our table is a combination of old people and a toddler....both with basically the same attention span, had to wait, and then a member of the party had to get up to asked to be served, then, don't get any cranberry sauce that every other table seemed to have. But sure as shit we had to pay the same. Not right. I feel for people that have to work holidays to a certain extent. At least this line of work can earn a pretty penny in tips expect for this kind of service. Obviously will never go back but sorta feeling like a refund for something is in order.
